Gmail™ Email Templates by cloudHQ

Asks for all sorts of access including ability to edit and delete all contacts and content from google drive. Even when installed it failed to work aside from one time initially. Seems very buggy and prone to scams.

This app used to be awesome! But no longer functions unless paid. Reportedly conflicts with other extensions but even when I have removed every other extension it still wont let me use my created templates. I totally understand if you want to charge for the product, but update your pricing comparison tables to reflect that so it is clear. There were quite a few other complaints about this 6mths ago, when reviews were happening occasionally eg couple of times a week, but strangely over a 2 week period (on 2 separate occasions) reviews were flooded with over 100 x 5star reviews (some for an entirely different product) to bring up the dwindling star rating.

Urgent! Paid for the app, but it’s not working properly I just paid for this app because I thought the free version wasn’t working right, but it still won’t let me save my templates. I need an immediate solution since this feature is essential for my work. Please fix this issue as soon as possible or I’ll need a refund. I’m very disappointed!

Liars! Says it FREE! lol It's not.

Supposed to be free. I've been using the free templates for months but now I'm getting a message that says I have to upgrade and pay. The description above even says, "The email templates library is FREE to use, and we’re adding new templates all the time."

The free version supposed to allow you to use the templates, but it only shows you a message to purchase a plan.

I used to be able to use these, but now I have to upgrade to use any of them. I haven't used one since Christmas last year, so it is kind of a shock to not be able to use one for 4th of July. Uninstalling.

I already installed the extension but keeps on asking to install when accessing "My Templates"

This extension is now of no use since we have to pay them to use and there are absolutely no free templates. Who said?

It was a nice service up until they put it behind paywall. I have no idea why they did that. It used to be free but now you have to pay to use your own templates you created from scratch.

Crashes Gmail when loading the template selector.

For some reason I can't do anything, when I am going to choose a template my chrome just freeze. Any Idea ???

It worked amazing until a few weeks ago.. When we add a template to an email and alter the text the formatting goes 100% off, with overlapping text and items. Therefore not usable. We've been in contact with support and they confirmed there's no other solution. Now (as a work around) I need to go via campaigns which makes it super cumbersome plus there's a limit on the number of campaigns I can send. So in sum -- I can no longer use this whilst we were super happy.

I was hopeful because "Uber and Twitter trust it" Templates were okay, a little bit tacky, but I found a simple one. Spent an hour editing it. It wasn't super user-friendly. Finally got it to look good on desktop and mobile. Pressed send and all the formatting got messed up, going outside the frames and over images, etc. Looked terrible, and this was for a more formal email for a friend's wedding :-((( Find something else! You can't trust the preview.

BEWARE: Have you seen the list of permissions they request before you can actual use it?! unreal. Downloading it you give them access to your email. But that isn't enough to actually use the plugin To actually use this plug-in you need to sign up for an account. Created templates for 2 hours and when I save, everything is gone. Tried again created a template. But when I click send, it shows loading forever. Pathetic extension. Poor Experience.

Doesn't really work. No templates.

I have now spent close to two hours trying to get the over 100 templates I paid for and cannot find a one. It is all just free templates and yet I have a receipt. I am frustrated off the charts. I signed up for this so that I could finish a project and now I am wasting hours of my time just to find a paid for template. Nobody is answering me on support. I am unhappy!

Added to chrome using button on webiste...extension is nowhere to be found.

I never even created an account. CloudHQ wants full access to my email and my Google Drive. Nope... whole lot of nope.

Why do I need to give you these permissions just to download email templates: - Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail - Manage your basic mail settings - See, edit, create, and delete all of your Google Drive files - View and manage its own configuration data in your Google Drive - Add itself to Google Drive First you force people to create an account at CloudHQ and then ask to give these permission of our account? Pathetic! Please do not ask me to write an email to you on this. I have already wrote a detailed review here. Either you fix this or let me leave the review here.

Requires an account (you give them information) to create a template. Other plug-ins do not.

Did not notice this extension comes from cloudHQ, otherwise I would not waste even a minute of my time. Forced me to create an account and pulled me into endless login attempts after that. Will be more careful next time.

A great extension for wasting your time... major bug where it doesn't properly save the templates you make. DO NOT DOWNLOAD !

Spent an hour on a template hit "Save and Close" and the whole thing erased as if I made no changes at all. Get rid of it. It's a good idea with poor execution.

Doesn't work, server error constantly while trying to save a template.

So far, you're batting zero. I spent several hours using a template to create a business email. I hit the backspace key to correct a word of type, and the entire email disappeared, poof. Hours of work wasted. Now I have to reload Gmail every time I want to browse your templates, and I cannot get the template I select to finish downloading--the wheel spins and spins and spins. Going to look for another template program. I can't be flushing hours of my time down the drain.

This is spam I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on Chrome Version 66 for PC , however it doesn't work , I cannot see the templates button whenever I try to compose or view an email . I have other extentions like boomrang rename email and they are working fine

Concerned about security holes with all permissions app required, but took a risk. Once installed, now system says have to completely remove all ad blocking extensions from chrome. This would make chrome use unbearably distracting and low productive. If there is a workaround, let me know, but believe to get basic support, requires $100+ payment for 'free' extension. Might just continue using draft's extra step without all problems.

I don't want to create cloudHQ account... And every time I click insert template it asks me to create cloudHQ account... I can't figure out how to remove this extension. Why would you even ask to read my email?

You're asking to read my e-mail? You're also hiding yourselves from the top right corner, so I have to hunt you down in the settings?! The lamest extension I have ever had the displeasure of installing.

Would love a simple template design app, but am not going to give access to read and delete my email. :-(

Free version of this extension won't let you load the template you have created. I don't believe developers are being upfront about this fact. Creating a template in their visual designer has weird limitations, like not allowing a table inside a table. As far as their free templates, I didn't like a single one (because I thought they were quite unattractive). I also don't think they were created entirely in visual design mode, which caused a problem of not being able edit certain features visually. I ended up creating a template in MS Word and just shoving it into cloudHQ interface. One thing I did like was that they uploaded pasted images to the web in the background to make them accessible in the template.

It was really great until the moment it stopped allowing me to use any templates (both free and the ones I created) without any notification. Suddenly it required me to switch to a paid plan, though it wasn't written anywhere that the templates are available only for a limited time period. I have tried calling and messaging to support but no one picked up the phone as well as no one replied. Sad, I would keep using it...

I couldn't even get past the permission list on signing up with my gmail account. The access permissions to this extension wants to have access to your gmail and drive, meaning they can read, write, delete, upload, download your files and emails.

Newer versions of Chrome don't seem to support it!

First two months using the Email Templates was great. I tried to send my April Newsletter out as usual and it is being received with text overwriting and formatting all messed up. I have tried to send the previous ones to myself as well and every one of them is doing the same thing. I've tried all the recommended troubleshooting and nothing helps. Looks like my April newsletter will be late or never go out. :(

I had great trouble installing this (as I see others have too). Upon writing a review expressing my frustration (which was not badly worded but factually true in my experience), Cloud HQ blocked my IP address. I contacted their support team and booked in a call to discuss the upgrade options, thinking that perhaps there had been a free trial that had expired and this was why I couldn't access their apps any longer. They cancelled the zoom consultation and I received a message saying: Hi, This is Senad Dizdar - founder of cloudHQ. Sadly, we cannot help you here. Your account is permanently banned from cloudHQ due to a break of our ToS (posting incorrect and defamatory comments about cloudHQ). Please do not email us or contact us anymore. Thank you, Senad. So I'd be cautious about posting a negative review for cloud HQ when things do not work properly because their technical support involves blacklisting you.

It was working great until today. Edited a template. hit (save&close) nothing. refreshed page , goes back to stock template. Ok no worries close it out open it again. Edit it to my liking again. hit (save&close) . sameeeee thing . 30 min invested with no results. thanks for nothing !

Dowloaded it.. keep asking me sign in... useless

The security issue is too big a risk for me. The amount of information and access you want regarding personal information from my clients is not comforting to me. The only downfall making me not go any further with the installation

Emails do not render correctly in mobile gmail app. Most people are reading emails on their phones these days so hours of my time were just wasted adjusting the html of the template.

BRILLIANT idea! So needed! Sad that I can't use it. WAY too many permissions needed. Why do you need to access and edit my drive? My contacts? NOPE.

these are really ugly templates which you can't even personalise in the colours/images a reader wrote he is using their html editor: great, but where is it??!

Hi I am trying to write in other languague with words that uses different characters like ç, â, ã etc and after saving the template appears unformatted. How can I solve this issues? any tips? thanks
