Incredibly limited and very misleading. Not the tool to sync my 200+ gigs of video renders.
This does NOT sync Google Docs to your Dropbox. Instead, when you click "Save To" from the Google Doc it just saves a Microsoft Office version of the file on Dropbox. So you can no longer share and collaborate the way you can with a Google Doc.
It is buggy, always a message of 'backup and sync not working' It slows my computer I did not see a positive result from this extension.
it only syncs google docs, the name is missleading "sync google drive"?
Takes control, I am logged into google drive and start editing my document. Realise it is not saving, I click on save and this wants me to sign it to it. A MAJOR PRIVACY and TRUST ISSUE RIGHT THERE. JUST NO!
2gb for free then paid for the rest, i wish i was informed before i watched the videos and installed this read the instructions.
I was told I had to upgrade to complete my transfer. I did, then was told I had to upgrade again to an even costlier plan.
Not at all excited about the fact that the dev requires access to read, manage, delete, etc all of my emails and contacts. Completely unnecessary for an app that is supposed to sync drive with other cloud storage. I didn't get further than account creation. User should have options on what they do and do not allow the dev to have access to.
its always running and it sits using RA even when not doing work
It creates a mess of broken files and duplicates. Stay away.
does nothing
The way they deal with customers is unacceptable. There is no "delete my account button"- you need to send them an email with request to delete your account, after which, they keep you asking over and over again, why you delete an account, but not deleting it!! :(
It blindly syncs everything, no selection of some folders, I do not want an entire copy of my dropbox on drive.
Terrible! Just keeps asking me to sync over and over again and can no longer access gmail. Detrimental on a busy Monday morning.
Read the fine print. You give these guys access to edit and delete all photos. Additionally they get all your email addresses from Google and Hotmail. It is a scam to get mailing addresses for spam mailing companies. Shocked that Google lets this happen.
Lying about this being free service is wrong. End of.
First couple of weeks it's perfect, then they make you pay $10 p/month, or else all the files stop syncing. Bad idea..
Don't download this app unless you are sure you will use it! If you choose to go another way you won't be able to get off of their mailing list. Several requests have not proven successful. I am reporting them as sending spam
Advertised as free, not free. Misleading.
Trial, which is not stated in the description of the extension.
Fact that it is actually a log for a paid web service means it should not be here as an extension. The log itself is available on their website anyway. Service as a paid service is fantastic but not mentioning this in description is dishonest.
I made the mistake of not reading the User Reviews BEFORE I added this to Chrome- I don't appreciate not being told before adding an app or program that it's only a "free trial"....no way am I going through all that red-tape set-up only to find I've wasted time on something I likely won't want to purchase later! Even though it might be a helpful app- I'm already TURNED OFF to it now and am going to remove it. I'm sure plenty of free apps out there will serve the same purpose.
Says it is free when it is not which is dishonest. Avoid
Too much to try and see one thing... blah
Clumsy interface and ridiculously slow server.
I cant´t login with my google account. For me, doesn't works! :-(
not free at all
Need to sign up for service in order to really use this
Cannot use for free, useless
Requires additional account at couldHQ. Doesnt really do what it claims to do.
can only sync 15 files on a free account?? seriously?
not free i dont like this
Paid service, this is a 15 day trial only.
I have a concern- why is it asking permission to read my email for syncing my documents?
Not quite what is claimed. I needed to transfer many older files from Gdrive to Dropbox, which every review & CloudHQ's description on Chrome webstore says this does. Not quite. After a not-simple learning curve, I set up the transfer, only to get the following Bad News Email: "The following sync pairs can not run under your existing subscription: (removed description for privacy purposes) Sync of paid Dropbox accounts is only available under Business or Premium plans." The price of a business or premium plan? You don't want to know HOW MUCH they want for a one-use app that I would never need again. Strongly not recommended.
Nice features and interface, but only works at no cost with your FREE versions of cloud storage. If any paid cloud storage is involved (e.g., Google Drive > 5 GB), you're thrust into a trial version, after which you must pay $118/yr or more to continue. Sorry cloudHQ, I'm uninstalling now...
The Overview states "With this browser extension you can sync, backup and integrate anything from your Dropbox, Salesforce, SharePoint, Google Gmail, Evernote, Box, OneDrive, Egnyte, or Basecamp account with Google Drive." But in fact, it's the other way around, you can only sync a Google Drive document with these other sources. So for the spreadsheet I created and manage in OneDrive because Excel Online is better than Google Docs cannot be accessed from Google Drive
Not free, but useful for moving from one cloud drive provider to another without using your own bandwidth.
I've only given 2 stars as it's described as free when it's not. Hiding away the fact that it runs out after 30 days is sharp practice. If they were upfront about it I would have considered purchase but they've now lost me as a customer.
YOU HAVE TO PAY! The trial only lasts for 15 days Just a quick warning to people thinking of getting this.
Not so straightforward or intuitive to me. Having trouble getting it organized
Not useful at all unless you upgrade to their Premium service. Not really worth it.
Severe limits on file amount to be transferred for free; pushes for costly upgrades to allow more files to be shared. Bull.
Requires external account which has a monthly fee to use.
I don't know what I had in mind when I installed it, but it wasn't what I got.
The Drive to Evernote sync is working in one way only.Even after enabling the two-way mode it only sync Changes made in Doc. are seen in Evernote but the changes made in evernote are not sycning in Doc. May be im not using it correct or it is glitch or anything else. That would be great if you rectify if it is an issue.
It seems that I can't save my spreadsheet file from my google drive into my Dropbox, every time I tried "save to" I get the respond "cloudHQ Chrome Extension Temporary Error - please refresh your browser and retry"
It was okay, but it's not free, so deleting my account!
it's so good,but expensive!the trial version stucks on 1 gig uploading/downloading
The transfer limits are a bit limited if you choose the free option. Overall, I think it's pretty cool that my docs and files are more secure.
