They changed it to $4.99/month. Not worth it. I just had chatgpt write an extension to do the same thing!
I've been using this plugin for almost 5 years and they just switched to a paid version. $4.99 a month doesn't sound bad at first, but it builds up if you have to manage multiple Gmail accounts. I had to say goodbye to my plugin today. Please offer a free version as a tier option!
Worked fantastically, until it didn't, and the message popped up that my "30-day free trial" (of several months) was over. They asked for $4.99 a month, when it was never mentioned that it a) was a trial b) would ever be charged.
I got the same message today. There was never any indication from the author that there would be a charge for this extension. I feel that they have misled all of us who have downloaded this extension believing that it could be used without charge. I would never consider using any of their other products based on what they have done to their user base here. Very disappointing.
it doesn't work. here is the error message: {"success":false,"error":"We cannot rename the selected email because the Chrome browser is outdated or due to a conflicting Chrome extension.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined here: Troubleshooting Google Chrome Extensions."}
You have to create an account in order to be able to use this extension, and all the reviews are written by bots. A quality product doesn't need to fake reviews, obviously something is off. Beware.
access to everything within the account? only an idiot would agree to these terms and conditions!
The oauth asks for WAY too many permissions. This extension only does one thing--why does it need all those other permissions? Uninstalled
I have been using this extension for years! It is very useful but not worth $50 per year PER EMAIL ADDRESS!
Disappointed. I had been using this extension for a long long time, but no longer. The author decided to make it a subscription. I only use this intermittently, maybe 2 times a month tops. $4.99/mo just isn't worth it. A tiered plan would have been nice for those of use who aren't using the extension in a business capacity.
It asked for way much permission (like everything). But it only functionality it provides is change the subject line. I have checked your privacy policy (https://www.cloudHQ.net/privacy) and no where I could find specifically mentioned that you will not access or retain my email in Gmail. it just a generalized privacy policy. you need a specific privacy policy for this extension. Not going to use this extension, though I would love to change the rubbish subject lines (or no subject) people send in email.
I have my emails in my inbox separated by read and unread with another extension. It takes my emails out of the inbox and defeats my whole purpose, which was to be able to quickly identify emails in the inbox, by the subject line, but it is essentially moving them to my archived email and I was trying to track by title for the purpose of moving to archive when done with them.
Most time CloudHQ just disappears. So, no use of a tool that should be usefull
I do not understand, why is to need to open a "cloudHQ®"account, for using this extension on Chrome!? Another Chrome extensions does not need another accounts!
Sad that without warning, this extension now requires a hefty subscription. As I only use it maybe a couple of times a month I cannot justify the sub. It seems everyone now wants to make their mobile apps, PC software and even Chrome extensions a subscription. When you add these up it's eye watering. Do developers think we are all made of money? One day this business model will shoot itself in the foot. So, farewell to a fantastic tool, I will just have to live without it now.
The product is good. I deployed it to our team, but the renewal is a pain and the admin console is no help. Support replies relatively quickly, but their instructions have not helped the situation so I am abandoning the Admin console and will pick and choose licences individually... which is fine for small organisation of a few, but I can imagine that would be a nightmare of anything over 6 seats.
When it works it's great, but it's not reliable. This extension stopped working again on 2/28/2024. It's shown as installed, but is no longer shown within Gmail on its toolbar run as a web app. It can be displayed on the Chrome browser toolbar but that doesn't do anything with Gmail. I tried removing and reinstalling the extension, rebooting and doing it again with my Chromebook with no change. It could be related to a Chromeos update last night, but regardless of who did what, the extension is no longer compatible with Chrome/Gmail.
Very much a kludge workaround for something that should be native to Gmail. It works, but it's awkward. Also it hasn't been updated in a long time, and the recent change to Gmail breaks the "flyover action" in that if you have flyover actions turned OFF, this flyover remains anyway, and VERY close to the star icon, making it easy to click the wrong icon (which is why I hate flyover actions in the first place!)
I have installed the extension, and now on every refresh of Gmail (e.g. when I open another message), the bright popup reminds me how to rename the subject, no matter how many times I click on "Got It!"
This extension doesn't seem to work when you also have the ugly email extension. Please fix.
it keeps crashing
