Cisco Webex Extension

Watching the video on healthstream does not help at all. When I got into my test, i did not know what it was about and i was totally lost. I have 2 more times to pass it. i guess i will go over the healthstream video again.

Webex is killing my system - either you use it as an App or inside browser or using it as an extension, no behavioral change. Its really awkward in the interviews with this app! It takes all CPU exhausting cpu & network. Its no joke that system getting killed by looking at cpu usage %, cpu time and Idle Wakeup Times. By the way I have been using webex from 20+ years. It was never worse than this.

this app feels like a virus. it's extremely hard to uninstall and I found leftover things it installed to my computer for quite some time that I didn't ask it to do. :T

bad program, hard to use, help page link is broken.

It just says 'can't read or change site's data' on all the sites i've tried it, so is of little use.

Total junk! Spent 5 hrs with 3 IT people, not one could figure out how to get this app to work!!!!!!

Terrible support for Linux. No Virtual backgrounds on Chrome, the Linux app lacks tons of features like basic chats with the participants and so primitive app of Stone Age.

Just awful overall system and now doesn't work at all. You follow the directions to join a webinar meeting and all you get is a blank page with the Webex logo in the upper left corner. Given how easy it is to use Teams, Zoom, Meet and Go To this is ridiculous and should be a corporate embarrassment for Cisco

What does this do except for ask me to download WebEx launcher?

Why don't other video conferencing platforms like Teams require installations of (1) browser extension AND (2) a Windows software but still be able to provide the same functionalities? Also, why does this software change "Show window contents while dragging" setting of my Windows OS? How do I know if it is not doing some other hacks on my computer?

It's insane that webex needs a privileged extension to do what all other providers can do right in the browser.

Anyone who has used the internet or video conferencing software for longer than 15 minutes knows that the only reason for a mentally sound person to choose Webex over Teams/Zoom is because they are being forced to or funneled into it by Cisco themselves. This extension is just another way to access their garbage video conferencing service. Oh wait, its actually not that at all! Go ahead, add this extension to chrome wait a few seconds and read that popup! Guess what!? You have to DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL WebEx. I'm not sure what the managers at Cisco are smoking, but it's gotta be some really strong stuff.

It will let you download webex instead of open meeting in chrome tab.

Disgusting platform ...forced to use it for my classes .. there should be Nil star for such platforms

Forced to use it, can not resize screen to size i want. Doesn't recognise some audio devices. Take a bit long to load.

I cant doubble speed the video. Fix it as soon as psoible.

First I installed Webex in Ubuntu 18.04, it's working fine but thing is I can neither see messages nor send comments so I thought of this extension. both are rubbish I am frustated with this. when I tried to join from web webex it is saying link is invalid, imagine how frustating it is...! any solution please other than installing windows in my system

Trash. Add on does not work for mac. Had to go to chrome. App quality on chrome trash too. Trash idea, trash company.

It worked fine before and now it's forcing me to install this, but it doesn't work....

The WORST - I have to reboot my computer every time I need to visit a site that requires this extension, even though it shows active/turned on. I am not alone in my frustrations, as I can see from these reviews.

The only entities I know of that use this platform are government related, which makes me think they only exist because of government contracts and possibly nepotism. Requiring audiences to connect to an online Web meeting through phone audio is ridiculous.

This plugin didn't work at all, it just kept loading forever. I also tried the temporary application method but that didn't work either and also kept loading forever. I was finally able to join using the "join by browser" method, but with that, the audio didn't connect so I had to phone in to get the audio. I've never had these issues with Zoom, Google Meets, or Microsoft Teams.

Horrible. Doesn't work on chrome. It just stays stuck on a loading wheel for an eternity. The download application doesn't work either. It just doesn't load. I always end up using my phone

Simply does not work and it asks for downloading Flash ... with isn't even supported anymore by Adobe. Also says to check windows player, directing you to a page that doesn't exist anymore. Worst app ever for meetings and presentations. I never managed to join a presentation without encountering a bug and this when when I can actually connect. This is total garbage, incredible.

Absolute Trash

The whole webex user experience gets worse every time I use it, and this extension is just one more symptom. I open the webex app on my mac, enter the meeting info, and it insists on opening a browser, and getting me to install a plugin I don't want, so that it can open the webex app. All of this is of course only because they crippled their browser-implementation, so that they can force people to install their app.

It sucks. It will kick you out in the mid of the meeting. Any other meeting software (zoom, google meet, microsoft team, skype) are better than it. AVOID IT!

What is the point of installing an extension that does not work? You try to access it and time and time again all it does is just take you to the chrome web store. I change it to "allow on all sites" and even then it only works while on the signin.webex.com page. Like what is the point??? Remove the extension and allow either just web access or a computer application, wasted an hour of my life only to call in to the meeting.
