Remove YouTube Shorts

Doesn't work for me. Extension is enabled, but I've tried reloading/restarting the browser, nothing happens. Chrome 143.0.7499.170
MacOS 26.2

Showing a constant ad on the top right of Youtube prompted me to remove this extension. What the hell are you doing?

Enough with the daily "updates" that pop up annoyingly. What are you doing???

Randomly decided to open an ad for their own app, that's a no no for me!

Took me quite some time to figure out that THIS extension was causing me shitloads of problems with Cloudflare captchas endlessly looping and preventing me from visiting sites.

I see ads using this (it breaks other adblockers)

this plugin is literally doing nothing at all on two laptops running ubuntu. i'll gladly supply more info on my environment to help you guys make this work, just get back to me with what data you need.

Doesn't work. At least half the results of a search are a minute or shorter.

Annoying pop ups begging you for money. There are other options that don't do that. Choose another extension.

"We're struggling"? cmon. its a plugin to remove some html elements from a page. Dont show popups. Also maybe don't write a tirade against a reviewer. your whole response was WILDLY unprofessional.

Worked fine until they pushed an update that spams your computer. Uninstall, report, avoid.

I am saying goodbye after you doing forced ad of your blockscroll app. I have 4 chrome accounts and all of them got this notification. Not having ads is more important to me than not having yt shorts. Do not listen to their corporate answers.

removes the ability to sort subscription page as list instead of grid! :(

Breaks the "news" filter. Other than that, it seems to work. But, since it breaks unrelated features, I cannot give it more than 1 star.

This extension doesn't appear to filter shorts from the "channel page" search results. e.g., if you go to a specific YouTube channel, click the magnifying glass, and enter your query into the search bar, the results returned for that specific channel still includes YouTube Shorts.

This extension is okay for about a week. I searched google for a shorts blocker that also removes shorts from content creators, and this extension came up as the most viable. However, after a week, the content creator shorts return, followed by other shorts recommended by Youtube.

The extension does as it claims it does. However ever since downloading this extension 2 days ago my antivirus has been claiming that it's a Trojan. So, I'm uninstalling this. I advise everyone else to do the same. This just isn't worth the risk. Even if it's a false flag the fact that the antivirus considers it a threat at all is concerning. Especially since I've had extensions that have done the same thing in the past and never had a problem like this before.

at first it worked but after i disabled the extention the re enabled it it didnt work (please fix this buggg)

I had to revise this review from a 5-star down to a 2-star. It initially did the job but, like everyone else has been saying, recently started occasionally and consistently spamming users with its own ads. This is even more annoying with installs across multiple devices.

Great extension that works as intended, but they have recently added an annoying popup with a small close button that appears almost every time you open youtube for the first time that session (or in a private window), asking you to support them. I understand asking for monetary compensation, but if it becomes as annoying as it is to me then I stop sympathizing with you.

It works yet it still shows creators shorts on their profile.

It works well and is more honest than most extensions, requires the bare minimum amount of permissions and does remove youtube shorts, just like it says on the tin. This is an extension I will be using from now on! However, it looks like it removes community posts from the main youtube page as well. If this is an intended feature, then clarification would be appreciated. Overall a great extension. (PS: its unfortunate about the bad reviews regarding the donation pop-up, I haven't seen it yet but wouldn't mind anyway)

It should be called "Remove Youtube Shorts Only from the homepage" because that is what it does. Search results, etc are still 99% useless shorts.

Shorts are only removed at the top of the page, but shorts will show up on searches. :(

Really nice! but with one massive issue It just... totally nukes all shortform content on the platform? And not just proper tiktok-esque "Youtube shorts" Lot's of videos and art worth seeing is under a minute, what's annoying about shorts is how they're shoved in your face in Every Single Tab, but this plugin even removes videos that are short, but arent "Shorts", you know? if this is changed ill change my review up to five stars, but what it currently is is enough to make me not use an otherwise great extension If i'm missing a config option, please inform me :)
