Awesome New Tab Page

This used to be the absolute best "new tab" page, but it's currently not usable. - Hotkeys (L,W,S) are captured even when filling out a website name so if one of those letters is in the name, you can't add it without using an external editor. - Uploading images from a URL is broken (nothing loads) - Users should be able to add their own widgets, or there should be a community repo of widgets

Unbelievably broken. Any reviews that say otherwise are fake. lol

The tutorial doesn't work. It has a google plus bookmark and that hasn't existed for yonks (you can't edit the Google Widget). It won't read favicons from website (or that is failing).

Broken. Any time I try to add a url and use the letters W or S, it changes the screen and won't finish what I'm typing. At this point, 100% useless... make that 101%. Otherwise, looks like it could be a great tool someday. Removing it from Chrome.

This has been my whole company go to extension for years. Now the developer has not updated it to work with the latest chrome. So you cannot save, export or import your setup. For me this means RIP Awesome new page tab

It no longer works, can't add any widgets and also even if it did work it looks horrendous. A true abomination.

I used this for years and I loved it. But since a few weeks I have a new laptop and I can't add any bookmarks. I kinda bummed because it is the only one so far I've found that let's you add bookmarks wherever you want. The other ones I've tried out only let you add bookmarks next to each other with no gaps.

Same as everyone where nothing works. I can't add widgets or shortcuts or anything at all. Nothing gets added to the page

Abandoned Project, No Customization I was excited to customize my Google homepage with this extension, but it's a complete letdown. The developers seem to have given up, leaving the tool non-functional. Disappointed and still searching for a solution.

use to be my favaorite extension, now it doesnt work anymore

This used to be my favorite extension because it was completely customizable. Now it just doesn't work for me anymore. I just can't click on any boxes because they do absolutely nothing, nor can I put apps in my tabs because they don't show up.

I just tried to switch back to this after using a different new tab tool. Nothing works. Can't add widgets. I unlocked the page. Clicked and dragged a widget to the surface, but it doesn't stick. My page is totally blank. Has development stopped on this?

Well my weather wasn't working so I reset all of ANTP it and now I can't do anything. Can't add widgets, can't add links. Can't click on a tile to add links as it is greyed out and yes I unlocked it. Please fix.

since the las update is no longer working,back in the day was awesome

New Tab Tools is better but I can't seem to get it. This one doesn't work at all, I click the grid while unlocked and nothing happens. I lay widgets & nothing happens. I give up going to find something else.

It updated and removed all of my bookmark tab things. What's the point in using this if you're just going to nuke everything I had.

Block widgets

Terribly outdated, clunky animations, vertical scrolling is intermittent and the hole design is from 2013 or smth.

I loved it a few years ago, but lately it has been a pain to keep straight, and the most annoying thing is that now I get two pop ups that almost covers my entire page EVERYTIME I open it. I exit out of them, but sometimes they pop right back up and ALWAYS when I open Chrome. I am thinking of removing it and just making desktop shortcuts...MOST AGGRAVATING!!!!!!!!!

Keeps crashing and I lose my whole layout. It has happened 4 times now over 2 month period. Back up is worthless.

I used to love this so much, but in the past 2 days it has become corrupted and unusable. Will happily rerate and use again if this gets fixed!

I loved this app. I enjoyed having all my sites in one place and had no complaints. However, I don't know if this app has been abandoned or what, but this is the 2 time in a few weeks the extension has become corrupted. When it is repairs all your shortcuts are gone. I specifically backed up the last time to avoid this....now my back ups are gone. This app was great but seems to be neglected now.

Ugly as sin, filled with the most useless, irritating clutter

Have had to reset and redo too many times. Have finally moved on to something else. Love it when it works. But very tired of having to take the time to redo it.

New search bar has ruined my experience with this extension and I've had to delete it because of that.

I would like to get rid of it.

directly into the trash. i am a programmer; i develop apps, so it's not because of lack of knowledge that I found it difficult to use. i give respect where its deserved, but the developers of this ext get none. looking at the code, it seems like the main purpose of the extension is to track the users habits and sell their info. this is a data farming extension disguised as something useful, but it isn't. this may be good if you are 3 or 4 years old and you have time to waste, or don't care about somebody watching and logging your every move, but this should be way more simple and intuitive than it is, regardless. i shouldn't have to search around and try to learn how to use every single feature, like unlocking the grid, especially when everything you do to set the page up involves this procedure. Most widgets don't even work either. I tried to ad 4 to test this, but 3 didn't ever work or show up. Plus, they automatically install tracking beacons. Do not get this. It is absolute garbage that is unneeded and only designed for tracking your behavior for marketing of large corporations.

Scrollbars made it ugly. Even 'No scroll bar please' extension stopped working. Scrolling isn't well functional, only bugged and annoying.

Why is it all of a sudden now crashing on me whenever I start it up? FIX

This extension is a struggle to use without any sort of Wiki or FAQ. The AwesomeHQ page shows a bunch of widgets and tiles that I have NO idea how to put on my own ANTP. Eg: How do I get a tile like the "Search Google Apps" scrolling list one on the AwesomeHG page (third down, centre column)?? No info about this kind of thing anywhere!! ALSO THE F**KING SPHERE THING THAT WILL NOT GO AWAY NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I CLICK ON THE "X" IS THE MOST GODDAMN IRRITATING THING IN THE WORLD. The potential exists for this extension, but you can't just expect users to have developer knowledge in order to use your app. Until some better documentation is provided, this extension is simply a huge freaking headache that I regret ever installing. GOODBYE.

Once useful, ANTP is no longer worth the download. The RSS widget has been broken for a month, weather doesn't work and now there's nagware for some push content called "Sphere". STAY AWAY.
