The intent of this tool is fantastic. The support is responsive and DESPERATELY needed to do anything with this extension. I gave up as it is unusable in its current implementation. Unintuitive, misuses standard UI items, and wants a monthly fee for this. No. This product looks like an early beta and is trying to charge for it. No. Extensions charging fees have to be great or a dirt cheap one time fee. This is neither. Run the other direction until he finished rewriting the complete product.

𝙳̳𝙾̳𝙽̳'𝚃̳ 𝚆̳𝙰̳𝚂̳𝚃̳𝙴̳ 𝚈̳𝙾̳𝚄̳𝚁̳ 𝚃̳𝙸̳𝙼̳𝙴̳ on this 𝙳̳𝙴̳𝙲̳𝙴̳𝙿̳𝚃̳𝙸̳𝚅̳𝙴̳ extension. When you first download it, you're automatically put into 13-day free trial without you knowing nor any indication of which features are a part of the free version of the extension and which are not... Well, that's because there are 𝚗̳𝚘̳ 𝚏̳𝚛̳𝚎̳𝚎̳ 𝚏̳𝚎̳𝚊̳𝚝̳𝚞̳𝚛̳𝚎̳𝚜̳! There actually isn't a free version at all, and most won't realize until after the trial ends, and when they 𝚌̳𝚘̳𝚖̳𝚙̳𝚕̳𝚎̳𝚝̳𝚎̳𝚕̳𝚢̳ 𝚕̳𝚘̳𝚜̳𝚎̳ 𝚊̳𝚌̳𝚌̳𝚎̳𝚜̳𝚜̳ to the extension... including 𝙰̳𝙻̳𝙻̳ of their 𝚜̳𝚊̳𝚟̳𝚎̳𝚍̳ 𝚍̳𝚊̳𝚝̳𝚊̳, which is 𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚍 𝚑𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚐𝚎 by partizion.io until the user either abandons their work or agrees to open their wallet and 𝚜̶𝚞̶𝚋̶𝚜̶𝚌̶𝚛̶𝚒̶𝚋̶𝚎̶ pay the ransom. With bad business practises like this where a developer is attempting to pull wool over each and every one of their potential-customers' eyes, there is absolutely 𝚗̳𝚘̳𝚗̳ reason to go with Partizion over any one of the many other extensions on this site — 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 when it offers 𝚗̳𝚘̳ 𝚗̳𝚎̳𝚠̳ & 𝚞̳𝚗̳𝚒̳𝚚̳𝚞̳𝚎̳ 𝚏̳𝚎̳𝚊̳𝚝̳𝚞̳𝚛̳𝚎̳𝚜̳. Definitely not a fan of having my time wasted like that. The fact that I now have to spend 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 of my time e-mailing them a formal PIPEDA Data Deletion Request, since it's the only way to ensure a developer like them doesn't have access to my personal data anymore (and which takes additional correspondence in order to be processed), is actually enraging. At least spending the time writing this review has the potential to save others the hassle of dealing with Partizion's B.S..
do not work signup
Sign up errors before I can even try this out. No help online. I'm out.
worst!
Locks you out of your account at the end of the free trial and you can't access your sessions without subscribing. ****ing absurd.
Contact me. The extension keeps crashing. I signed up, go to the website, install the extension, activate the extension and all I get is a blank screen. When I deactivate the extension and navigate to the website it works on the website but doesn't sync because the extension isn't activated. When I activate the extension, it goes back to a blank screen. Definitely a bug. Fix it and I will re-review. Thanks.
price is too expensive. not worth it
A trial to test it? I created an account to test it months ago, and wanted to see if anything had been updated. Now I can't because the trial is over. I don't even remember how the extension looked like. I'm not even gonna bother with this one. EDIT: It doesn't even support saving grouped tabs?? It's not worth it.
Looks great! Unfortunately it's a 14-day free trial into pay. It's either close the account or pay at the end of the trial, and honestly I think this is a bad business model. They claim that with paying users, it will keep the app around in the future, but I think the way this individual app is set up, it ends up being more of a deterrant and will drive users away instead. What motivates people to pay for an app or service is the aspect of it being better than the competition, necessary and above all, affordable. Right now, there are a bunch of other apps in this category that have solid free tiers. Sometimes you can't tell which app is right for you in 14 weeks let alone 14 days. Expecting people to just drop another monthly payment into their workflow without already being established as a top contender, and dumping it on them at the end of a trial... for me, nah.
It's a trial for a subscription based extension...
I made one year payment, then I decided to cancel my subscription after 4 months of using, because I decided I do not want to continue with payment next year. But I still wanted to keep using until one paid year ends (like normal subscription works). At least I wanted to save my tabs. But they immediately closed my account, without refund. If I want to get back my tabs, I need pay again. I am really disapointed, be aware about this. This is not fair play.
$8 per month for a kanban board?? That is definitely sick. Compared to the functionality of e.g. Office, this product should not cost more than 3$ / year.
like i'm going to create an account with a tos and privacy policy for an extension that shouldn't even connect to the internet. yikes
The extension is very nice, and if the developer wants to be paid is fine, his extension his choice, but not having any warning just let people install it and put them straight in the pro trial without having a basic free version is very bad practice, all that shiny intro but no mention that is only paid. I didn't give one star just because the extension is very nice
free only for two weeks. Should have notified the user at least one day in advance regarding the trial expiration. Failure to do so result in a sudden loss of access to their saved content, leading to user dissatisfaction and negatively impact as well as a lack of integrity and strategic foresight vision. -- UX still not very easy and comfort for viewing but on the standard.....suggest to do a simplified free version, eventually when users are financially sound , will pay for better service.
has potential but you have to pay
Ugh. I'm really not into being forced into the free trial and then feeling like you lose the functionality. The site doesn't even explain what is pro and what isn't and the idea that what you're currently doing might not work in 14 days is just so frustrating. I'm out. Some people just want to know what if in the free version, and then they can express interest in more features.
This was great until it took command of my New page(/"Homepage") and didn't even give option to remove it. Please don't FORCE CHOICES!
UPDATED 3-STAR REVIEW: The dev Matthew is very open and amenable to accepting feedback, even from disgruntled customers! I have therefore updated my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. He is very honest and polite, with no hint of anger or sarcasm in his emails, so he has earned my respect. He seems to genuinely want honest and constructive feedback, so I am currently helping him with this. He has indicated that he will update the description page with the next major update, which sounds reasonable to me. INITIAL 1-STAR REVIEW: This extension cannot be used for free. I did not realise this until I got an email this morning notifying me that my 'free trial' is ending soon! This fact needs to be written in bold lettering at the very top of the description page for the extension. I would not have installed an extension that does not come in a free version (I'm on disability btw) - I couldn't help feeling I got a bait-and-switch. Chrome Web Store needs to have clear designations as to whether or not an extension is pay-only.
My first beef was the requirement to sign in to use the extension. That should have let me know all I needed to know about my second beef....the subscription fee. They want me to pay to store a text tile of my personal links on a server somewhere. No fee, no plugin. Which makes the omission of any explicit local storage options look purposeful. This is essentially that other popular session manager (with the initials 'SB') but with a subscription fee, forced cloud storage and the addition of 'Workspaces' to better organize your sessions. Seems like these developers are listening to all of the beefs users had with that other tool. If they had released a free version with local storage (or even a nominal fee) they would have taken pretty much every SB user that just dealt with data disaster. Then they could have offered the cloud storage/sync and premium features for the fee. Rack up hundreds of thousands of free users and then convert them all to a cloud subscription by continuously adding value makes sense to me. But everyone has to feed their families. Pass for now.
A bit ridiculous to have a subscription model for a tool/extension like this. I would wager a lot more people would grab this tool for a flat price. Enough people probably to give you more revenue than a subscription model (in the long run).
Found this tab manager yesterday. Still reviewing it.
