Microsoft Power Automate

The extension has become unreliable since recent Chrome/Edge updates. Flows that previously worked without issue are now failing frequently, particularly around page load and element detection. The main concern is compatibility — it does not appear to function properly on newer browser versions (Chrome/Edge 146+), which significantly impacts usability for business workflows. Given that this tool is intended for automation at scale, stability and browser compatibility are critical. At the moment, it is causing more disruption than efficiency. Please prioritise updating the extension to ensure full compatibility and reliability.
Edge extension stopped working between 2/27 and 3/4 - troubleshooter reads "The version of the web driver you are using is not compatible with the version of Edge. Please download the correct WebDriver version based on the browser version."
Installed itself in the background without asking for permission. Malware
Absolute garbage. As always, Microsoft's tools are so convoluted and complicated that it's a massive turn off to try and use them. It's obvious that the people developing these tools do not have English as their first language. Absolutely awful stuff.
Microsoft - this stuff is too fragile. If the MS Learn docs say "the Desktop version must match the extension version", then make sure you update one when you update the other. Otherwise, you break everyone. Get it together - stop spending so much time Copilot and just make sure the basics work. Right now, my desktop is version 2.62.xxx, but the extension in the store is 2.61.xxx. Fix...it.
randomly installed itself into vivaldi, chrome, and edge either i have malware or microsoft REALLY wants people to use power automate regardless i hate it
It automatically installs itself. Defintely malware. Don't download. NEVER.
so i've uninstalled microsoft's bloatware from my system (including power automate) but for some reason after installing a new browser, this extension popped up. why is this allowed, why is installing an extension without even asking for it allowed?
bro what is this and why did it install randomly
Think I might have a virus that installed this
Why it tried to install?.... red flag
tried to install it's self without consent
I didn't install this, it installed itself. extensions shouldn't be allowed to install themselves in Chrome silently.
i really don't understand what this does
I've installed the Microsoft Power Automate add-on for web automation, but I'm seeing a red warning issue since last week. Does anyone know what this could be about or how to resolve it? I'm using version 2.27 or later of Power Automate for Desktop, which is supposed to be compatible with this extension. Thanks in advance.
What is this rubbish? i tried using power automate to open a browser to a specific webpage - and it all crashed. badly. couldnt Cancel, couldnt Done, couldnt Exit... needed to Kill in Task Manager.
Power automate program only works on Microsoft edge browser why?!!!!!
Now Working Already Installed Redirect to this page for installation
Why is this there when it does not work 99.99% of the time as "Message Port has been disconnected. warn @ background.js:1447 onDisconnect @ background.js:138 onDisconnect @ background.js:67 (anonymous) @ background.js:135 Unchecked runtime.lastError: Specified native messaging host not found." Active power automate on system ...Even macros run better than this pathetic app.
Closing the recorder window, all the recorded actions will be lost. To submit the recorded actions, select Done in the recorder window., there's no done button lol!

its not functioning
Most of the Variable shown in videos are different for example in the video it showed to use %CurrentItem% but in actual its =CurrentItem and also in the video it showed %CurrentItem['Name']% working but it isn't in reality nor even =CurrentItem['Name'] is working. Finding it really difficult to work
Microsoft installed this without my permission or knowledge.
This extension installed itself without asking my permission. That's a bad experience.
"Over 3 million users! (installed this against their will or whatever) but HEY! 3 million, baby!"
installed automatically
Why was this extension automatically installed? I did not install it.
Was installed automatically
Rubbish Extension, each time using "Run JavaScript function on web page" the browser just popup a window and blocked the code from running, all that could be done is only some alert(not even console.log), totally piece of rubbish.
Doesnt work even after reinstalling many times.
Does not work. It keeps asking for installing the extension, even after a new installation.
Microsoft showing their usual incompetence again by breaking everything in the latest update.
Microsoft as usual making humankind waste their life. Stay out of this and do something more useful rather than waste your time with this (again)
Seems to randomly stop working for no obvious front end reason-- causing a huge waste of time diagnosing and finding workarounds, frequently.
The product really has potentional however the need to use chrome as its base is awful as I when I make a run it is always stopped or cant run due to the program needs to open up a new Google Chrome link.
Has broken a good number of my bots that run in unattended mode. I do not recommend upgrading from Power Automate Desktop 2.26 until you absolutely have to!! Update September 2024: Seems to have broken everything again. What a joke.
Not working PA not recognising Chrome extension is installed and asking to install it again
Thank you to Fazlul Haque for providing some insight on the steps you took to make it work. I followed these steps and also 1) added Error handling to each Chrome action to retry 3 times 2) added a Command line step to kill any running Chrome processes at the beginning of each automation and 3) turn off Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed per a recent Microsoft article from 5 days ago. This seems to have stabilized it to at least run successfully one time a day, but I am still experiencing issues. I recently received a 'Failed to extract data' error after it ran without issue the day before. I have lost many hours troubleshooting following the update and looking for an option to roll it back.
I couldn't imagine using this for production, it never works properly. PAD is honestly such a buggy joke it's unbelievable.
What the heck? What's the point of that thing if Power Automate doesn't recognize that it's installed?
Does not connect properly to power automate desktop
I love how MSFT updates stuff and it stops working
Does not work. Power Automate Desktop keeps asking for installing the extension in the browser, even after dozens of reinstalls
It is not working at all
Doesn't work anymore in Windows 11. Tried every step mentioned here in the reviews and from Microsoft Learn - nothing works, either in Chrome, Firefox or Edge. Happily it still works in Windows 10, so installed PAD in a Windows 10 VM to get it up & running again. What a waste of time!
soo many bugs
Launch new Chrome action seems to be broken, this was working fine few days back.
doesn't work, seems I discovered this at the wrong time :(
NOT working, stupid updates and stupid team
