It makes me set up a new wallet for no good reason instead of just letting me link my hardware wallet, which comes across like they’re trying to pad their wallet usage numbers. Overall, the wallet is subpar, and users are better off using Rabby instead.

The more updates come out, the worse it gets.

The MetaMask wallet is untrustworthy. I lost my money last month; it disappeared suddenly right before my eyes. I contacted support, and they told me that my SRP was exposed, so it was not their fault. I wrote the key in my textbook, and nobody else was able to access it. How could it be exposed? So I created new wallet. I used the new feature (Google login + password) instead of the SRP, but unfortunately, I lost my password. I know this is my fault, so I tried to find all possible solutions to recover my wallet. I was even considering brute-forcing to recover the password. I contacted support and asked how I could get the vault file, but their answer was always the same: "If you didn't back up your SRP, there’s no solution." I asked about the vault file, but they couldn’t understand me. It was a waste of time. I lost my funds again. The MetaMask wallet is untrustworthy.

Very laggy and the UI is confusing. It’s slow when checking or analyzing my tokens, and sometimes it freezes. Not beginner-friendly and difficult to navigate. Needs major performance and usability improvements.

It is the glitchiest wallet in the market. It has a lot of bugs and it is frequently blocking interactions with other smart contracts. It simply blocks a transaction and it doesn't even let you know why!

Very poor performance and unreliable extension.

Used to rave about MetaMask a lot and stuck to it even as most of my friends all switched to Rabby. However, it became a buggy, unusable mess the past few months and I have uninstalled it. The user interface changed every couple of months and simple things like navigating to Etherscan is hidden under several clicks now. On the contrary, monetizable features like perps and prediction markets are accessible with even less clicks. Sure, that may earn you more bucks now, but you have alienated many a loyal user.

Have been using MetaMask since it came out and it has progressively gotten slower and worse. These days, it's pretty much unusable if you have a moderate number of addresses (50 or more). I've encountered bugs that took hours to fix and half the time it doesn't work on Ethereum L2s like Base, or with a hardware wallet. The only reason I stubbornly stuck with it was because I knew and trusted their Security team -- but they just canned their leading security researcher, Tay, so now I'll be migrating to another wallet.

Its security is horrible. Don't ever use this browser extension.

Ruined my go to app, was easy and seamless years ago, I just came back again and its total trash, absolute grabage. Do not use!

Instead of making things better and easier for the user, metamask is not only getting complex for no reason... but functions as basic as view your account (wallet) in the network explorer are gone. Also, another basic functionality to just copy your own address is gone... instead of doing one click as before, you need to enter a menu, a submenu, and then click on the desired network and copy... I don't know who is leading this project... but it is very clear that no one is using this plugin on the development team

Worked great for a few years and went downhill really fast since version 13 came around with the multichain features. Rob Dawson should be fired for making this dumpster fire of a crypto wallet.

wish i can give zero start ,this app is so laggy , i was not able to scan Daap dax qr code ligter and paradex using android mobile app even after trying on 4 android devices muliple time where as i can connect easily on exodus. customer care is worst they where not able to fix issue even after 2 hours even i shared some videos also to help them better understand issue, they keep repeating the same things again and again like update chrome force stop app bla bla one of them told me it is not possible with metamask which is clearly not the case .At last they created email ticket for me and told me on chat they we won't be able to reply soon because of holidays now i will have to withdraw all asset connected on this stupid wallet to exodus . Customer support don't have even basic knowledge of how qr connection happens . Avoid this if you want to use dex connection using qr scan on regular basis and avoid extensions if you can

My password for this extension is "i hate this extension" because the garbage is the most convoluted nonsense ive ever had to deal with. All I want to do is import an existing wallet, i have the keys and all that, but the account doesnt come with it? Whatever. Use Exodus for shitcoining people!

I’m really disappointed with the latest interface. It’s quite confusing, and the previous version was much simpler and more intuitive.

I was a user of Metamask since 2018, switching over from MyEtherWallet. It used to be fantastic and fast. Now, it is just a bloated, laggy mess. The devs of Metamask seem adamant at running it to the ground with their half-baked buggy updates the past year. It is quite obvious that their codebase is a spaghetti mess yet they are still piling on the technical debt after debt. It was a good run though, thanks for the memories!

Was working fine since 2017 or so when I first installed it, until these recent updates started popping up, everything is made worse from UI where you need to dig through to find basic stuff, to constantly crashing, to constantly showing reset database, to sometimes not even allowing to login (you enter the password and no feedback is given, clicking again on it prompts to enter a password again). So ever since updates for token airdrop started landing it became a horror of an app

Guys, can you please stop breaking it? I understand that eventually there needs to be revenue. But maybe you could find a way which does not alienate your most loyal users. I've been using Metamask since it exists, and the UX degradation is getting so bad that I feel forced to look for an alternative. I'd gladly pay for something like "Metamask Classic" which doesn't bother me with popups and notification, with non-EVM chains (and related UX degradation for EVM chains), with price charts, etc. Simple, fast, secure. I understand that this dark patterns have been normalized in software products over the past decades. But the point of web3 was to do better. If we keep doing the same, we can as well just all go home.
