ESET Password Manager

Not working today. Can't login. :(

Suddenly I am unable to log into this extension. Grrr.. First time I've had a problem with it after having used it for a number of years :(

Always need to relogin, and now is not even loggin in, keeps on [Logging in...]

FAKE! IF IT WAS REAL THEN IT WOULD OF BEEN ESET.COM NOT ESET! FAKE!

I would give this 0 stars if allowed! I used to love ESET password manager, but not any longer. Not only is the new format difficult to navigate, I had to change all of my saved passwords because they wouldn't work. Now, I can't even login to my ESET manager because it isn't accepting my password. This is ridiculous!

Changing to the new version was a horrible experience. That's an hour I'll never get back. I'll try the pw manager for another year, but if they pull something like this again if they ever make a version 4, i'm out. Yeah, so a year has passed and you guys still suck. You locked me out of my account after renewing so yeah, stay away from this stupid pw manager like a plague.

I just transferred a license to my new computer. Didn't have this on my last machine, but thought I would try it for added security. Installed the extension, tried to login through the app, but it kept telling me my password was wrong. Changed my pass just in case, and still not letting me in. Will keep using the other products, but this one will be deleted.

Absolutely horrible! Been using Password Manager for years with no issues, then all of a sudden asked to upgrade to the new version - OK - "No Problem" Right? WRONG! I cannot login to the new version and opened a support case TWO WEEKS AGO! Everything was fine for a while as I was able to continue using the old version - now THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER! Upgrade has rendered the product completely USELESS!

This extension was working ok before the update . Now just don't work. I uninstall it and install it again and keep saying "Previous version no longer supported. Old passwords are not migrated, cannot setup new master password. ESET your antivirus is best , please fix this extension

ESET has been a trusted company for over a decade. This app (or I should say, the "Legacy" edition, which they flipped a switch on, disabling it permanently) was working PERFECTLY FINE for YEARS until the morning of December 1, 2020 when the company--get this--shut it down. Just, out of nowhere, over 30,000 customers DENIED ACCESS to EVERY SINGLE PASSWORD they had made! Without so much as an e-mail ahead of time to inform them! And it's not like the passwords were just deleted, no, not like they were just--poof--lost into the ether. These passwords were actively and regularly backed up in a format called .SPDB on the customer's machine. YEARS of backups! They are LITERALLY sitting there on every customer's machine, but--get this--in a format that is 100% useless because their new version of the app can't read it. Imagine victims of identity theft turning to you for their security needs in the hopes that if they invest in your service, they would be able to quickly and easily generate and store the most complicated and secure passwords, change them monthly, backing them up, doing everything RIGHT on their end, only for you to lock them out of LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Thanks, ESET. Banking? Locked out. Personal e-mail? Locked out. Work e-mail? Locked out. Your entire livelihood? Locked out. ESET could've just stolen your identities all over again, there's literally no difference from this. You are no longer who you say you are in the eyes of every single service you use. This is CRIMINAL. I don't doubt there will be lawsuits if this doesn't get fixed. FIX IT NOW.

My old passwords have not been migrated to the new password manager! How do I fix it?

This is such BS and this product is now rendered USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell is developers thinking? GET IT FIXED and REPLY to my OPEN CASE!!!

Horrible app. I switched from lastpass about a year ago and have regretted ever since. After installing this new version I come to find out that it doesn't save my passwords from the old version. Great. Well, I still have the app on my phone and can export my passwords from there and import them here, right? Nope. The app exports to .spdb of which this new version does not support...despite claiming to support importing from v2. So...I'm SOL. I've got to use the app on my phone to manually look and update all my passwords. Nope. Back to lastpass and seriously considering never using an ESET product ever again. Real shame, as I've been supporting their anti-virus for 10+ years now at this point. Utter garbage.

cannot log into the new extension!

This Google extension is in conflict with the Password Manager in ESET Smart Security Premium. Since the update, I get a message on Smart Security saying that my Password Manager license expired, and I cannot add any more credentials. That is utter BS. Password Manager is included in Smart Security Premium. Your instructions are not solving the problem despite followed a 100%.

Suddenly login with this error: We are sorry, an error has occurred. Please contact support. "403 - unknown_error" Now I totally cannot login, and also i cannot view my password with anyware

why do i have to continually login even though i click on remember me

Has a large problem when changing passwords on websites. It will recommend a secure password for the change, and even autofill it, but then it doesn't save the new password, and you cannot copy the password from anywhere. I have lost access to at least one account this way.

Works well. The remember me option does not work properly and asks for login again and again

No organisation whatsoever for the passwords . The extension overlap with the browser password management system. Some very reliable free software have a better interface and good enough integration with Windows or mobile systems. This one doesn't worth its price.

Extremely frustrating to create new passwords: it doesn't save the password it randomly generates and won't save it without you manually entering the website url (rather than reading it automatically or accepting an account/record title), and as soon as you click on the browser to get the url the ESET window closes, and the password you used is gone. The only option is to copy and paste the new password into another program (or have it saved in clipboard history) while going through ESET's numerous steps, which is tedious and unsecure.

It remembers My passwords like it should but the UI boxes do not go away until I exit the website or close the browser. This is VERY annoying! The X to close the boxes do not work!!!

Where is the Windows version to download of Password Manager? Or does it only have a browser extension? I purchased ESET Smart Security Premium for Windows

Regularly logs me out, which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if your master password is simple/memorable. Same problem with the mobile app. Instead of routinely logging people out, how about just requiring re-entry of a 2FA code instead, just like LastPass?

After issues with conversion of passwords from the old version with the help the ESET support finally I got back access to my data stored in PWM v2. In compare to version v2 there are some nice new features like rescue code in case of forget main password or that it works even on linux (as extension to Chrome/Firefox) but the other hand - there is no sharing options between accounts and lack of categories to organize passwords (which is standard in the best other available password managers) is for me big disadvantage - hope ESET development team have this features on the ESET PWM v3 roadmap.
