The developers—the bastards—removed the Regex field from the free version of the Web Scraper extension.

why did you remove "Grouped" from the menu, now its unusable. all my work depeded on this feature. I know there may be other options but i had then options to edit the excel file easily. now its of no use.

Man it can't even recognize the text in <p></p> And won't even let me select the text that i want It's such a simple task of selecting just a text field, but it won't allow me to even navigate further if it can't recognize any sources "worth" scraping

When creating or, more specifically, editing a selector with Type: Pagination, the selector incorrectly and automatically adds itself to its own list of Parent Selectors after saving. This creates a circular dependency, which causes the pagination logic to fail. As a result, the scraper only processes the first page and then stops.

I am unable to extract my 200 pages it is only extracting just 3 pages and that's it

Yeah, horrible experience. Good tool but zero compatibility with the previous versions, which means you will probably lose every data, node and sitemap you create with every update. Had previously backed up most of my data, but this time I decided to trust (wrongly) to keep all in the extension's config files and saw all of it deleted.

started receiving scam and cold spam calls shortly after installing and trying out this scraper to a brand new phone number that hasnt been in use for 20 years, having our company name and poking for more info like name of business owner etc... beware, your phone number may never stop ringing

extension crashes when trying to view or export alot of data, i wasted 6 hours scraping 1400+ pages that i cant export :(

Does not work on sites with tabs. I tried it on answerthepublic.com and it doesn't scrape the List data. It says "No data scraped yet."

Please act like yall see these negative reviews. This doesnt work. The documentation is nicely laid out and so simple to follow....if it aligned with what you see.

Broken in Chrome v120. Missing Web Scrapping tab

Never worked for me. After install it comes up with warning errors and does not even present the console you are supposed to see. I tried to install the latest browser of Chrome many times and ended up wasting too much time instead of saving time with this tool.

Completely useless piece of sofware. Might work on easy example sites that the dev has built, definitely does not work on complex sites or web 2.0 pages or social media. What a waste of time.

could you please help me I can't scarpe the hidden phone number which is unable only if once we click on the review phone number button. Also I'm troubling in pagination I'm Unable to scrape the data from page 3,4,5,6.......

Beware! All this extension does is send you to the company's website, where you have to install their own software for it to work.

in the past, this tool worked fine. however, at this time this tool does not work at all. I can't scrap data from google maps. I hope the developer can fix this tool. Thank you.

Doesnt work and links to shop before even trying to do anything.

The Extension works just fine, however does not follow a linear order of scraping elements in the order they occur on the website. the extraction is unordered which make it difficult to order them manually as per their occurrences. can any body help me out on this ? will update my rating if the issue is resolved. I'm currently trying to scrape info from "https://covid-19.ontario.ca/assessment-centre-locations". if any one can help, that will be great

Horrible piece of human waste! Ruined my work. If I have to double check everything myself manually, what's the point of using it? It misses to pick up data. Often doesn't work at all.

I downloaded it today. It froze up immediately after I clicked to open it. Specifically, a pop-up window appeared on the upper right corner, asking me to dock it but none of the buttons responded to my clicks.
