CrxMouse: Mouse Gestures

Scroll wheel went wonky. Don't see much value here and the developer didn't answer an email requesting help. Find another extension. A day later after removing the extension I find that there are parts of it that haunt my mouse i.e. if I select some text and hold the mouse button in gmail it draws lines on the screen instead of allowing me to copy the text to another location. This is a really bad extension that won't uninstall correctly.

By default it collects privacy data and sends the webpage content of every visited site to its server, even worse than open source alternatives

Why Does Microsoft think the Extension contains Malware??!!

Chrome Crashed when use this plugin.

I installed this on Linux brave browser but sadly its broken. The issue is the icons and files have capital letters in the name and the actual files dont. Unlike windows you need to have the exact name in Linux. Please fix it for us Linux users. I love this extension but it dont work as it is. Will make 5 star once it actually works!

I'm experiencing a bug with CrxMouse on macOS/Chrome. When I initiate a mouse gesture with a right-click and drag, the gesture is interrupted because the standard macOS context menu appears, making it impossible to complete the gesture.

Doesn't work on most pages anymore!

I use the Brave browser on Linux. There is a bug in YouTube. When you click and hold the left mouse button, when over the YouTube logo in the upper left corner of the page. You can somehow initiate a gesture action. This should not be possible! And it's the left mouse button, how? Sometimes gesturing to go to the top of the page, crashes my browser. So only one star from me.

Not compatible with Brave browser.

I've confirmed the multiple claims of malware implemented by this extension. Others on here have also done their own tests with the same result. Game just toggles between the two tabs of the game and does not show what the video shows. It also doesn't work elsewhere

read and modify copy paste? why would you need that access? now i cannot copy a private key because you are monitoring my copy history? read or change bookmarks? no thanks.. it's a shame

This is rubbish. It doesn't recognise the custom gestures easily. Unfortunately there is no Gesturefy extension on Chrome and even the one of the most popular mouse gesture extension is was behind of it regarding the accuracy and the practicality.

I've been using this extension for ages it seems... And until a few weeks ago, it seemed to be working splendidly. But not sure what happened but since the end of February 2024, I've noticed that the CloseTab function didn't seem to be working anymore. And this happened right after Chrome stated that this extension got corrupted somehow... Removed it, reinstalled it, tried to troubleshoot this with safemode eg, noticed a huge spike in CPU usage from this extension, got another corrupted message, the CloseTab function was still buggy (taking a few seconds to get through and stalling my Chrome) or not working at all and after a few days, I uninstalled it and programmed my StreamDeck with a CloseTab function. Fast forward until today : reinstalled it and noticed there's a new version but alas, the CloseTab is still not working... So instead of wasting more of my time trying to go along with this, our ways have to part and I've found an "smart" alternative "up" there in the store (also a featured one). Don't like giving 1-star reviews but as the problems seem to be a general thing and keep on happening... Especially the 'corrupting' state is worrying along with the CPU spikes...

Did something happen to this extension very recently? I was using it for years without issue, then it needed to be repaired and when I have it enabled it significantly slows down chrome's behaviour. Just lagging for half a second when going to a different tab I had opened before.

Needs an immense amount of stability improvements. I wanted so badly for this extension to work. I musta spent the last 2 hours troubleshooting, hitting glitch after glitch after glitch after glitch. I can't bring myself to have this installed any longer. Even the couple useful things I got working broke/froze shortly after I thought I was done setting them up. Restarted my browser over and over. It completely crashed my browser once. I kept disabling features that weren't working correctly, and trying to keep on/salvage the ones that did work. Eventually arriving at the point that the only thing that worked was the super drag functions, even though I got dozens of javascript errors popping up while trying to program them. finally got them all working. refreshed my browser. now all they do is freeze on every website. Giant waste of time.

Absolute !@#$$ garbage. And coincidentally no other alternatives.

It was good 10 years ago, but now is very buggy. drag can not be opened in background bug exists for almost a year, there was a extension called clean crx mouse fixed everything, but they reported it.

just memorize keybinds it's easier, faster and simpler why do i have to perform dark rituals with my mouse cursor to copy a link url bro edit: that being said, it's a good idea in concept but just not for me

It works at 100% perhaps only on the test page. On others, for example, closing a page is just a matter of chance. Often the context menu will launch or the page will scroll down or it won't detect the mouse movement.

Doesn't work, quite simply.

this application is very much inferior to Gesturefy from FireFox. It's like comparing Paint and Photoshop. In Gesturefy, you have more features and finer settings, and it's much easier to customize. In Gesturefy, you make up your own gestures, and here you only have the given ones. And the list of available commands in Gesturefy is several times longer. Even half of the commands I'm used to can't be implemented here. Why would anyone want to be able to copy text with a mouse gesture if they can't paste it afterwards?

Mouse gestures don't work with touch screen which makes it useless. Seems like Maxthon 5 was the last browser where they actually worked, so far not a single extension that would work.

I used this for years and it just stopped working! I don't get why they scam you like this! Usually they do this to hack or collect info on you. DON'T INSTALL THIS......
