Todoist for Chrome: Planner & Calendar

It now requires access to your gmail to be able to function. No option to refuse. Uninstalling.

I have been a paid Todoist user for years, and this app used to work great. However, recently in Gmail, you put the Todoist icon as the second column next to the star column. It is a horrible ever design. Why do I need to see a Todoist icon nexxt to each email, so annoying. When shrinking down the email list panel, there is a huge blank space under each email. Literally, my gamil is not working with the recent update. At least leave an option to turn off the extra Todoist icon column in Gmail. STOP adding this horrible Todoist icon column in Gmail.

Almost unusable as also mentioned by Jeremy McMullin. I'm on Chrome with macOS intel. Takes many seconds to load. It could be reduced to use the API and do caching/local simple GUI. Not recommended. My workaround is to have a pinned tab always open. I don't want to install the fat macOS electron (like?) app and eat away alot of memory by having another webbrowser/webapp open.

Super slow to open the panel - 2-3 seconds every time for me on my Mac / Intel. I figured the 'Click' to open would come with some options to create a task related to the current page??? Just a minimised version of the app....that takes a looooong time to open. Instead I had to install the thick client app for Mac and then at least I can use a shortcut to open the app from anywhere. This is also WAY faster. Extension is not useful

Am I missing something? It seems like this extension is just a mobile version of the website, it does not add any real functionality and looks nothing like the screenshots.

Takes forever to load/open extension on chrome. Hope this bug gets fixes soon. My device : Macbook Pro M1

Loads slowly or fails to load. Avid Todoist user. Installed this extension last week. Chrome, Macbook Pro M3. Repeatable issue.

This extension just dramatically expanded its access permissions without any explanation as to what utility within the extension require this permission.

very slow , after clicking on the button, you must wait 6 seconds for the extension to open and wait 5 seconds for notes to appear.

I wish that I would give it more stars if it opens up after one click and not many clicks or not opening at all.

It doesn’t work. When I attempt to create a task from the context menu nothing happens after clicking Create button. Could'n find where I can report about this bug. Much too hard. I need something simple.

It's very slow for me. It takes 5-10 seconds to open the extension, sometimes longer than that. Update - 17.05.2024 The extension takes 5+ mins to show data inside, doesn't serve the purpose. Accessing the URL is better

Annoying that once you select tasks as complete they disappear & doesn't let me create recurring tasks.

Utterly disappointing and unprofessional. No ability to restore deleted tasks or projects. Not even on Pro accounts! I’d been using Todoist for some time now, in fact in about 2 weeks I’d have been using it for a full year. So it sickens me to write this.. but DO NOT use this app for business, I’m sure it’s fine for personal tasks and shopping lists but it is not suited for business related matters. I was using a free account, though was strongly considering upgrading to Pro the last while as I’d gotten into a groove with it for managing projects in work and was enjoying it immensely. That was until today. Today I spent approx. 4 hours on the software designing a template as such which I planned to duplicate and reuse across similar projects. I was delighted with the outcome. I only then (1 year down the line) realised you can only have 300 open tasks in your ‘inbox’. I’d not used the ‘Project’ section in that entire time nor had the app or webpage ever really prompted me to. I copied my template across to a project which I’d set to a ‘board’ rather than a ‘list’. I didn’t like the look of it and couldn’t, at the time, find how to change it back to a list, so without really thinking and no too familiar with this ‘projects’ section I accidently deleted my template. 100% user error, no doubt about it. My bad. However… unlike any operating system, application, cloud store etc in 2023.. there is no ability to either undo your deleted item or get it back out of a trash folder and restore it. The only method to do this is via a ‘backup’ which only occurs on Pro accounts… but EVEN WITH a Pro account the backup only occurs at 00:00 daily. Meaning even with a Pro account if you delete something that your created between backups it is gone for good. This is a total joke. Sorry to say I’ll be wrapping up my account on Todoist and using a grown up version.

It's Take lot in loading

The removed the number next to the extension that told me how many tasks I have. Without that reminder I constantly forget about tasks so I am deleting the extension.

It freezes really fast when I open it and click on different buttons/fields/menus. EDIT 2026: it no longer freezes but now wants access to Gmail. Are you for real? that's not gonna happen. REMOVED, get lost

It takes 45 seconds for the Todoist popup/window to appear every time I open it. It would be very useful apart from the very slow loading experience.

cannot open the app

It started to open a separate window instead of just adding an item to the Inbox. This is not nice. Aaaand beside of that horrible UX decision it just lags out and time from time adds an old link instead of the page I'm trying to send to my Inbox. Guys, are you even trying?

The function now opens a window and you have to wait a long time. Previously, the site was added instantly.

The app does not present a clean, simple, intuitive plan for beginners. It is touted as the optimum app for making and managing todo lists but giving one the keys to the Lamborhini doesnt mean one can drive it. I may have erred in abiding by the internet touting of the excellence of this app and buying a subscription. Right now I am feeling overwhelmed, confused, and lost as I have the keys but dont know how to drive the vehicle. Am considering a refund...but not just yet. Need to sit in the driver's seat...not there yet.

The app is good but... I was noticing some suspicious activity. All my google searches were going through CharmSearching and being converted to Bing searches. My antivirus flagged this as adware and marked this extension as the source of it. I did not expect this from Todoist.

I love Todoist, but they tend to move fast and break things--most notably, the Chrome extension. Again and again and again. This has resulted in my removing the extension for long periods of time in order to reinstall later, after they've made it useful once more. In this particular case, I've only hidden it, since I can right click and add tasks to Todoist using the extension. That's fine. But having the extension icon show an inaccurate task count is worse than having it show no task count at all.

Very good I have online classes and it helps me very much. SO after almost a week, it has bugs now It won't immediately open even though I am using the highest version of Microsoft Windows 10.Helpp fasst!

it's not much flexible and while clicking it some time it gets open and most of the time not.

says CSRF token mismath while trying to login. For being the top rated and most popular To-Do app in the market right now, its disappointing to see bugs like these.

Useless. I had my internet connected but this was soooooooooooo slow that it took 1hour and I lost all my Karma due to it. What is the matter?????
