EverSync - Sync bookmarks, backup favorites

WARNING EVERSYNC IS A RIP OFF! It is a free speed dial app and very nicely set up, dials can be made to user likings and on the outside it seems like a dream come true for quick access to regular sites that you used to need to search through bookmarks to find. I have been using the app for more than 10 years.... BUT HERE IS THE PROBLEM... Much like how we have all become dependant on using our cell phones to remember important numbers for us, you become dependant on the convenience of speed dials and don't bother to remember specific log in info for most of the speed dials you use, because the app does it all for you! And you don't fret it because eversync is set up to regularly backup your speed dials in case something happens and your dials are suddenly missing from your browser. So one day you turn on your computer and it happens, all 200+ dials you have accumulated over the years are GONE! No worries right? you can just go to eversync and retrieve your dials! You log into eversync, hold your breath and hoping your dials are there... LOW AND BEHOLD! There they are every one of them, a breath of relief floods through your body as you click on the "RESTORE DIALS" button, THEN YOU SEE THE WORDS YOU NEVER EXPECTED FROM THIS FREE APP THAT SAVES YOUR PRECIOUS DIALS... "to restore dials you must be a eversync pro member, click here to become a pro member" SO... you click the button and are taken to the payment page, where you find out that the service you so happily accepted as free does indeed save your dials as promised but to get them restored you now must join the pro service at the current low low rate of $15 per month. (the first time I had it happen the monthly rate was much lower!) Desperate to retrieve the dials you reluctantly agree to this highway robbery, and begin making these automated monthly payments. After a year or more making the payments with no surprise losses of your dials, upon receiving notice that the bill is being increased, you decide there is no need to continue this bill so you stop the autopayments. within days of ending your pro membership guess what happens?? YEP! your dials crash and the cycle begins again! After this repeatedly happening to me I realized my dials only crash if I am not a pro member which suggests with a high probability that it is TRUE that eversync is somehow controlling the dial crashes! I am currently seeking a better way of maintaining speed dials if anyone knows of a legitimate app that does this please let me know!! IN THE MEANTIME YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! USE EVERSYNC AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Extension has stopped working as of some time ago, according to past reviewers. You are unable to log into your online account. I have yet to find an adequate replacement that works across Chrome and Firefox, both desktop and mobile.

This addon/service used to be essential but now it is completely broken and useless. I paid for the service to get backups to and from the cloud for my dials, and it worked for years. Recently I tried restoring my dials on a new computer using EverSync and it didn't work. And today I tried logging in and no dice. Can't log in AT ALL. THANKFULLY you can still backup your dials manually and restoring them this way still works, but it's clear to me this whole project has been abandoned, and it's only a matter of time before the dials addon stops working too. So sad.

Eversync used to work great. Used to syn bookmarks between Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. Then Firefox stopped working. For the last year it has failed to properly sync bookmarks period, even just for Edge OR Chrome (excluding trying to sync between them.) It only works to regularly overwrite the server data from a browser (usually Edge.) Its basically a backup now, not a sync. I've tried creating help tickets, but they are ignored.

I bought a subscription and gave up. I tried syncing between Chrome and Edge: it only worked for full from scratch, not for changes; I tried with Firefox - it duplicated all the bookmarks; I tried with Vivaldi... nop... I emailed support more than once, but got no response. A lousy tool, a lousy service. I really don't understand how anyone can give it a single star, but... it seems that at least 1 is mandatory to provide a review... damn!... The best I found was xBrowserSync. It's not perfect, but at least it works normally. Don't waste your time and money on this one.

The free sync does not work, it's a lure to hook you in. Once you pay the relatively large amount for their service, your account is deleted and you have to start a new one, it's just a scam.

First, they lure you in with a free service, and then they hold your data hostage unless you pay. Scammers!

They took my $129 and then immediately erased all my information. No way to contact, found an e-mail and no answer to the issue. Use another app or form to save your information because these crooks are just waiting for their next victim.

WARNING! Do not use this unless you want to start all over again. I recently reset my machine and had only used this bookmark once. I decided to try it again and the moment I added it to my browser it deleted all my recent bookmarks and added back all the old bookmarks I had when I first used it months ago. DO NOT USE IT!

Paid for Premium and all it did was erase all of the Dials that took me two days to create. Backed up ZERO, and DELETED EVERYTHING!!! Where's my money?

I bought Pro and nothing works as a pro. I am so dissapointer am going to ask for refund

Extra Poor extension.

It must be new. Didnt load EverSync, loaded somthing called EverHelper and it dosent do anything.

Used for years. Goes fine for a long time and then all dials disappears but a couple. Last month I been battle in this again. I go to backup and shows current date but does not have all my dials example- say I had 96 local shows like 25. So, I back up export to Chrome again. Start readding dials I lost which is so time consume. Takes a week. Come back next day and dials gone but 3 show. Tired of this and I am done. Looking for something better now. This appears to me many people have this issue. So, it is wide spread and not us.

Like others have said been using for a while and no longer reliable. Plus support does not reply to emails anymore. I lose bookmarks everyday so trying to look for a replacement.

Been using this extension for several years. But today I lost all my bookmarks. App just decided to download 2021 bookmarks from server. AND THERE ISN'T ANY FRESH BACKUP. All backups from previous years. Now I'm trying to restore all of my bookmarks. And thinking about legal actions against devs of this extension.

I don't think the update is working. How many times do i have to lose everything? Beyond Frustrating. UGH!!!!! What does the following mean? Unchecked runtime.lastError: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist. Context Unknown Stack Trace :0 (anonymous function) Cause that was the error received??!!

stay away! deletes all bookmarks

It just randomly deleted all my dials and when I try to restore it shows up like they never existed.

Almost all of my bookmarks are deleted. After restore I got trash in bookmarks. Everything is lost...

Loved this program for years, and I am paralyzed without it. Recently stopped working, I can't sync my bookmarks, it tells me that the extension is missing, but it is there and on, removed it, redownloaded, etc. And I can't get any help from anyone because there is no live support. So ... I guess I have to find something else.

Installed this and moments later when it did the supposed back up it completely changed my speed dial bookmarks to years old ones and now I can't make it revert back to the ones I had. So pissed right now as some of those were important but only on my speed dial. Now all gone due to this garbage.

please, if you can't get it to work properly, give the option to manually transfer the backup files via local files.

It deleted EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY SPEED DIALS TODAY!!!!! EVERY SINGLE ONE. i WISH I COULD GIVE IT NO STARS!! Sync sucks unless you pay and I pay for enough subscriptions. Fancy bookmarks shouldn't be one of them.

This is idiotic. I try to sync bookmarks and it tells me "Folder is Empty". What a waste of time.

VERY BUGGY.... Now I can't even restore my backup.....

Worked flawlessly for a while. Not it no longer syncs on Chrome. When you click the extension, the drop down is blank. When you click the sync button on the main page, it open up a blank page with clouds. Very disappointing.

Not syncing with Edge. In Chrome received incorrecturl only.

Same for me. The latest Edge Dev update (Windows and Mac) deleted my SpeedDial settings, and I cannot restore my dials any more.

Cannot login to my eversync account since March 26. Rejects my userid and password, offers the option to reset the password, and then just sends me back to login. Infinite loop. The product is now worthless. Too bad, It used to be really good. Remember, you don't test updates in a production system. Only apply after debugging, retesting, and confirming.

So disappointed. I lost all my data and can't even restore anything anymore. deleting the app...

As a long-time user, I am so disappointed. I paid for the extension, but now the company wants a monthly super premium to make it work correctly. So much for business ethics. I would never download this extension.

No longer works, just says "Sync Failed."

Doesn't sync, doesn't recognize account password, won't allow for password reset because every time I enter my email account and submit it returns with "To restore password you need to enter your email" every time. Does that on three different computers. Comes back with {"error":-1000} or simply does nothing. This thing is epic trash.

I wanted to sync my bookmarks across Chrome and Firefox. 20 minutes later and I have no idea whether this app can actually do this. I now suspect that I am supposed to add my bookmarks to this extension and access them from any browser but there are no instructions on how to import (or even add them from scratch). There is just an empty page with empty tabs and folders, so that's just my best guess. Could be a great app for people who enjoy figuring this sort of stuff out, but that is not me! Cheers.

Confusing, very unreliable clumsily coded junk

The product has some very nice features, but I do not recommend it-- syncing is too glitchy and many groups and dials I created recently disappeared or no apparent reason. Support is unresponsive to requests for help. I used this extension along with FVD Speed Dials for 10 years or more. Again it has some great features in that it creates very good looking visual bookmarks. The major problem however is with syncing, which I can no longer trust or rely on. I recently bought the lifetime license a few months ago, as this provides unlimited bookmarks/dials. I thought it would also provide some support if something went wrong. Well, that's when things started going wrong! The syncing function- especially of dials, is very inconsistent and sometimes totally fails. There is always a discrepancy between the number of dials/groups in the local backup vs the server backup. The company that owns the product is now called Fusebase instead of Nimbus. They say they're creating an improved version that will fix the sync problems. But when I have reported my issues to support I've gotten no help, other than being told issues will be fixed in the new version. Recently I spent HOURS fixing up my dials so I wanted to upload them to the server. But the upload sync failed and in the process I lost hundreds of dials/groups and all my time and effort spent in creating these. So this product is extremely glitchy with syncing. I regret having spent so much money for a lifetime license to get no help at all. I wrote to the "Fusebase" support team and did not get help for the issue of all my lost dials/groups. UPDATE: On 3/30/24 I opened my browser to find that again about half of my groups and dials are suddenly missing, both from the online server and from the browser. I can see my local backup has my groups and dials saved, but when I try to restore from this backup, it does not work, despite multiple attempts. I have lowered my rating to 1-star. I haven't heard from support about this latest disaster, either. I asked for a refund.

Hello. I reinstalled google chrome, and reinstalled the FVD Speed Dial, before that I synchronized all my tabs, but your program crashed and deleted all my bookmarks, there were more than 80 of them. Restore my bookmarks! This is the first such failure in 8 years of using the application! I'm disappointed. Thanks.

As of today this is the worst speed dial extension out there. All of my bookmarks are deleted off of my computer, all my bookmarks are no longer downloadable because they were deleted from the server except my backups which I can no longer access unless I go pro. AND now they force you do have ads in your dials.

Won't sync or backup speed dials. Useless.
