simple to use but unfortunately saves videos as only a .webm that isnt skimmable, which is very useless

F*** this extension, I recorded my lecture for 30mins and when took out the output, the output was a mess, all efforts wasted

when I record a vid more then 10 minutes it just doesn't work

It only worked one time. Then, everytime I tried to use it, it only "records" a black screen. Despite showing the screen image before starting to record. So it's totally useless.

Literally just fullscreens the recorder on your screen so you end up recording nothing but the recorder itself. Absolute mess of a plugin.

It says microphone not found everytime I try to record ? whats this issue and whats the fix?

Audio recording doesn't work. Also their web page has a 'support' link that goes nowhere.

I am using Scre.io since last 5 years, it was best but now its worst. But I think they can improve, because there are alternatives. 1. Firstly they record in .webm format which takes 15X more storage space than .mkv and made my storage full every 1 week. 2. .webm format is not directly playable as it can not be fast forwarded, scrolled or intrated anyway ( Recordings are useless) 3. They try to process video to make is scrollable but uses a lot of processing , which makes Chome crash and your recording time is wasted and nothing is recorded. Also if you stop it during meeting, your meeting would crash to as it would start processing. (Extreme worst Affects) 4. These problems made me to search alternative and alternatii=ve was extremely good, but I hope Scre.io would fix this because their UI is better. I recorded sames session with both of them storage : Scre took 1.35 gb space and alternative 74 MB time : Scre took 20 minutes processing time, while alternative was real time Chrome Crash : Out of 10 recording if recorded lenth is high, scre would crash 9 times and alternative Never crashes. Soud Recording Problem : Many Times (2/10) Scre is not able to recording Sound, I dont know what reasons. Con of both Scre and Alternative :if I record Zoom meet Window only, and Switch to another window while meeting. The recording would automatically stop because Zoom get minimized into PIP mode. I can stop auto minimizing in Zoom, but if you by mistake minimise yourself, it would still stop recording and your will never know until the end of meeting that there is no recording. I've been using this app for the last 3 years but I've been facing one issue for the last 1 year. After recording and optimizing the video, I was unable to forward the video. This issue only occurs in the Chrome extension but the same functionality works in Browser (https://app.scre.io/#/). Kindly fix it.

It doesn't work.

It keeps me in a loop of picking which screen to record. Finally I get it to pick the right tab but there are no recording controls. I cannot see if I'm recording or not only that I'm sharing the screen. This app is pointless.

when you download a video from this screen recorder it also downloads loads of porn for no reason

I hate this dumb app. If you record something and you want to download it, you have to watch EVERYTHING. Let me explain. if I record 1 hour worth of content, I would have to rewatch everything I just recorded. If I watch 1 minute out of the 1-hour worth of content I just recorded, I can only save that 1 minute. So, summary it won't let you save everything you record unless you watch it.

This extention used to work superb, now it is not working properly.

To bad extension it ruined my effort on recording. I recorded 20 minute video and when i came back there was only 2 min video recorded. wt..f sorry but you developed a bad app. remove it or modify it. I am just posting this review so people save their time.

On Mac, "System + Mic" option triggers "System audio track not found" for both Chrome and Edge extensions, while the page tackling the error isn't available.

1. Optimize / Seekable funcationality is 100% broken Do you have plan to fix it? This is very important funcationality and many users have already complained about it. 2. Sometimes it does not record audio (at least in my case this happened mutiple times) Aprat from this ....this is excellent extension....I love it! Please fix Optimize / Seekable ASAP Also please let me know if there is any know fix - for audio is not getting recorded issue.

THIS IS SO BAD NOTHING WORKED

Whenever I use this extension for screen recording, I always encounter an issue. After recording and saving the screen, the video file saves, but when I play it, I cannot control it as I wish. I cannot start playing it from the middle or the end; the video plays on its own terms. If I try to skip forward or backward, the video stops playing altogether. If I feel like it, I would give it a negative star.

What is wrong with this app now? It used to screen record EVERYTHING and I could download my videos what did you do? Now it doesn't even record everything all at once. What's the saying? Why fix something that isn't broken! Now whenever I download my videos it only downloads 2 minutes instead of the whole duration of the video. SMH!

Unfortunately, the newest update has rendered this extension quite difficult to use lately. After recording for 15 minutes, having to play the file inside of the extension in order for the optimized time to be correct, saving the file to my OneDrive, and playing the file in Stream only to view a 1 second video, highly upsetting. Please undo whatever update you did. I beg of you.

after latest update, even though you set option for video to be seekable(optimize video), it does nothing - capture is not seekable at all

its an excellent app.. anyone knows why optimize video option is not working properly ? I cant seem to video seek anywhere have to wait !

From three hours of recording it recorded only 48 seconds. During my recording time I even went and use the "pause/resume" for filming only to end filming with just 48 seconds of what I needed to film. No saying it had stopped recording, no info on why it might have stopped, nothing.

did not work, i recorded two video, i see the two videos are in the history BUT when i tried to watch them i get a NOT FOUND error
