As of today, hiding comments, doesn't work. Too bad.
low star for attention please remove the comments from the shorts section too otherwise its good. Im sick of the toxicity from the comment sections. People are just nasty lol
I wanted it only to get rid of the Live Chat popup on Chrome desktop browser. I am tired of closing that popup whenever I start a video. I want the VIDEO to fill the screen, not have to share with a bunch of stupid rambling "comments". But all this extension does is leave the space there and replace it with black box, with the same exact size and shape of the Live Chat popup. The video stays small, as if it still has to share space on the screen with Live Chat. All this does is cover it up with a black box. It "hides" it. I want it to ELIMINATE the pop up from showing in the first place, and leave the video size to fill the full unshared horizontal space.
Close, but really, no cigar. My main interest was in disabling live chat, in particular in fullscreen. It does disable live chat, but in fullscreen, you're left with an empty black box on the right, with no way to close or dismiss it. This basically results in a degraded fullscreen experience.
Interfered with ad blockers, causes a glitch on YouTube that allows ads to get through on top of the video playing, and above the playlist. Not worth the trade-off.
didnt work for fullscreen
doesnt work on shorts
Works, but for some reason lately it leaves behind a large empty black box on the right-hand-side of the video, rather than just eliminating the element completely. As such, videos no longer fill the window in "theater" mode. No idea what caused this, but it's clearly not happening for everybody.
It's nice, but................... Can you make the Live Chat and the chat after the stream is over, to just Collapse, instead of fully hiding it? Meaning, leave the buttons as they are, so we can get back the chat if we need to. Please! Because if we need the chat, we have to disable the option and reload the page.π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ You can do a similar thing for comments as well. But in their case, you can make a button on the page, to hide/unhide them.
