I intended to subscribe to the Professional Monthly Plan but was billed for an annual plan instead. Despite reaching out to support to confirm my plan and receiving an unclear confirmation email, I was unexpectedly charged 300 HUNDRED DOLLARS for an annual plan instead of the $25.99 monthly fee. I requested a refund for the unauthorized ANNUAL charge, not the monthly fee post-triaI, intending to pay for the $25 fee. Despite providing all necessary documentation, their response was unhelpful and failed to address my concern. This lack of clear communication and poor customer service has left me very dissatisfied. I never sign up for annual subscriptions for services like this since I am in school and will not use them the entire year, so having my preference changed was very upsetting. This whole experience has been extremely disappointing because I enjoyed using LINER for annotating pdf documents for school and enjoyed using the professional plan features. There is no phone number to call and speak to an actual person so the only communication is through email. When speaking through email they were no help and only kept suggesting that I can change my subscription preference next term which would be a year from now. I urge the company to improve their customer service and communication practices. According to other reviews, I am not the only one that has encountered this, so this is something on the companies end. Until then, I cannot recommend their service.

I made a monthly subscription in the amount of about 17 dollars (I have the subscription for about a month/month and a bit), as soon as I came to change it, I realize that they charged me 330 dollars !! I sent them an email about it and they don't answer me. Do not approach these bandits!!

When I tried to sign up for the free premium trial it attempted to charge me for a full year even though it said it wouldn't be charging me at all until after the 14 day period. Always try the cash card first.

Extremely difficult to find where I saved the highlights, still can't find them It is very easy when I use it first all my highlight arrange in (my highlight) section ( like youtube home page ) but now go to workspace scroll up, up,up and up for 1 hour but still don't see my full highlight (show only one highlight per scrool) very disappointing

What’s going on? I was expecting for GPT-4 but it’s saying 'Linerva' or 'I'm not GPT-4' instead. I bought the professional subscription expecting GPT-4, and now I get this? Are you guys serious? 🤡 This is a scam, advertising GPT-4 but delivering just another language model.

I am beyond angry. I spent all day working on my schoolwork and using liner to highlight the webpage, but today, all my highlights are gone and I cannot find them anywhere. I have been using liner for years, but at this point, what is the point? I got this extension for the sole reason of being able to highlight webpages, but it can't even do that.

Hi, I found it very strange that an amount of R6326.00 was immediately deducted in first hour of use. Where is the 14 days trial period? Even subscription indicated that payment will occur as the trial ends on 5th March 2024.

They said "Surprise" free gift. Then the gift turned out to be usage of their app, but they wanted Credit Card info. If you are going to gift something and message like that don't take Credit Card info. Also it looks like this app is taking the PDF and then they bait and switch with all the registration. I understand you need money to survive, but being more upfront about it is appreciated.

After providing information on the services in different packages on your website without specifying the prices, and offering a 14-day free trial option in the 'Professional' package, how can your company attempt to charge customers, without any notification or confirmation, an amount like 10,389 TL (342 dollars) from their payment or credit card account, in order to prevent misuse of your company and the related campaign - without any communication or information? They may excel in their services, but resorting to dishonesty reflects poorly on their integrity. Despite advertising a 14-day trial, when I registered, they attempted to charge the full annual amount. This business tactic seems quite unethical and disappoints me greatly.

I tried deleting the chrome extension and found that even after deleting my account and removing the extension that my laptop was still having websites and more being highlighted from the extension, I don't know how to stop random sentences on all websites from being highlighted. Please help!

You only get to use it ~22 times per day, any more will cost you money. The free version is essentially a useless scam to get you to buy the premium version. I hate this approach to software (freeware to paywall). Your goal should be to build a great product first, then figure out a way to monetize it without alienating your users. This extension took the opposite approach.

The way it functions is stupid to me. Why can't it be more like Microsoft Copilot? Always on with a side panel and instant summery, ask it anything at any time. The way it functions is clunky and unintuitive.

I used to use Liner to highlight important information on the Internet. It used to be a list of text and was easy to read. But now it's more like a list of sites, like Chrome's bookmarks function. Don't waste your money on this extension. It's no longer useful.

I'v never written a negative review to an extension but this one got on my nerves. I install it and before I even know what it is, how to use it or anything, i have to answer a bunch of questions, give out my name, age etc... and then it keeps prompting me to provide my credit card. l wasn't even able to use the basic plan as it keeps asking for the credit card !!!!

Liner is a scam it is so slow and every time, I open liner it tells me about chatgpt4, very very very annoying and it every time, I open it. Liner has a virus I will not recommend downloading it.

I am a long-term costumer of this app. I actually paid for a whole year before they released the AI features, and had to uninstall it and cancel due to their shady practices with their addons, such as: 1. Forcing the plugin to load on all YouTube Videos, and how easy it was to trigger the highlight. 2. Loading sites and making information super inaccessible once you paid them money. With the recent addition of AI, I gave them another chance. And it was a MISTAKE. SHADY is the name of the game with Liner. They blast you with upgrading to Pro, and once you do, there is no clear way to cancel. The model they use is also not GTP4. All mentions of features are hidden once you pay. You can't access the information without using an incognito tab. I am convinced they are buying reviews.

I have no glue what happed with this getliner.com, I started to try this extension sometime at the end of June this year, and I had to input payment information, which is my credit card, and I did. then on July 14th, the first charge to my credit card happed with an amount $124.79, and I thought, I forgot to cancle the trial, then I requested an invoice and I ased them to stop the subscription, they sent the invoice to me with the reply that my subscription was cancelled, and I thought, ok now I need to use the function for on year until July 14 2024. the strange stuff happed on July 27th, they charged me again for $175.99 without any notice, and I had to suspend my credit to block the transaction, but that was to late. I talked to my credit card company, they said the booking happened already, can not be withdrawed and I need to clarify with liner to get the money back, and I did send many email to their support or contact mailbox, there was no reply until now. However, the strange thing did not stop, on Aug 1st, there was another attemp from liner to charge my credit card again for $175.99, which was not successful, while my credit card was still suspended. I talked to my credit company again and asked them to support the investigation, they would do so and suggested me deactivate my current credit card and is about send me a new card to get away from this crazy booking stuff. I had no choice but can consider this as criminal and ask you stop this crazy company

Slow and buggy. Free version barely provides anything with only 25 searches?? Not to mention getting ads to upgrade EVERY time you open the app. Lol, don't get this scamware.

Its AI so impressive, especially its youtube feature... but the very moment i switch to a third video and request a summary, it gave me the summary of the video prior two times in a row, and then i ran out of my 5 free inquiries a day.. very lame, but eh... 2-star review dropped to 1 star: YOU ARE BUYING FAKE REVIEWS!

it does not give you a lot like just a 5 credits or shots and that's all, they want you to pay immediately before even to got know of that thing you using!!

Useless scam, first tells users they don't need ChatGPT subscription, then after signing up on Liner, on the very first search shows "3 free LINER AI results left.". Everything sounds pro (premium) with this extension and unless you buy subscription from them since day 1, they won't hide the ugly pink "PRO" word on each and every one of their UI elements.

I originally got this for adblock and highlighting but really? Why would you make it so whenever you google something up even if they have no answers they generate it anyway! It's like playing Roblox but your controls are random. Also the adblock doesn't work.

It used to be a good highlighter. I guess, the developers want change this product to be something like copilot. Obviously, they failed. It is expensive and not helpful. Suggest not install.

Used to love this extension until they limited the AI search results. Also, what if you search by accident? That's a free LINER chat result gone. Wasted. Never to be seen again. There should be a button that when you click on it, it generates the LINER chat result. Still, I think that the limit should be either removed or significatly increased.
