Used to love this tool and looks like they added really good features since I last tried it. I have a need for it but avoided it for months because it became very annoying trying to get the microphone and/or camera to work. I make sure it's allowed access to those in the settings but still doesn't work 90% of the time. I have moved on to other tools that are not as easy to use but work 100% of the time.
Not working now, before was good. each time getting this error { Cam / Mic not detected! We can’t find your cam or mic. Please check that they are not in use in other applications (Zoom, OBS, etc…) if so close the app, then relaunch Sendspark - Learn more. }
SendSpark used to be great. Now it is so hit and miss whether it will record properly that you simply cannot rely on using it. I've had recurring issues on and off for 6+ weeks of an array of different types. Have sent multiple emails to their support email, but none have never been replied to, watched or even opened. Uninstalled for a day, then a few days, then a week in the hope that when I reinstalled, that they'd fixed their issue. From the complete silence from SendSpark, I get the impressing that they are now in harvest mode and no longer supporting their users with bug fixes, and just squeezing out the last few dollars before it crashes and burns. Disappointing.
RUN! This app needs 4324234234324 years to be as good as loom, here's why: 1- The video quality is bad, and apparently they won't solve this problem. 2- They buy reviews via Appsumo in exchange for more storage. 3- They lied about their Appsumo deal, they promised CNAME in the deal then they created a new pricing plan to sell CNAME separately. 4- They don't reply to your support questions. This app is the reason I will never buy deals from Appsumo again, all bad low quality apps on there and this one has won the worst app award.
Sendspark is the best of the best WHEN IT WORKS. When it doesn't it's so annoying. I really want to give it a 5-star review and will switch my review back to 5-star once they fix the following issue: I keep having issues with the screen recording feature. About a half a dozen times over the last two weeks I finish the recording and it never uploads the way that it should. When I finish recording it shows that it's actually still recording even though it's not. So then I need to completely closeout my browser (all tabs that are open), open it back up and re-record the entire video that I just spent time recording. Sendspark, I need your help help because it is really affecting my workflow negatively. I've been using Sendspark for about 2.5 years or so with no major issues, but this one has been the most annoying.
It stopped working for me with the latest version. Tried writing to the support but they actually didn't know that there is chrome extension for Sendspark?!!!! I cannot record anymore with the chrome extension. Is it just me?
Sendspark is good and even helped with the open rate of my emails. But I'm greatly disappointed with their customer service. People usually don't leave reviews like these and I'm one of them. I received an email to write a review here in the Chrome store in exchange for 4x storage. Why not?! But guess what. As enthusiastically as I did this review, Bethany Stachenfield was very happy to increase my storage. However, it didn't happen. After more than 15 email exchanges and 22 days, she stopped responding. Even when I reminded her about it, she sounded as if she's forgotten what she told me that the incentive was a mistake and my storage has been quadrupled already which clearly isn't. She even mistakenly thought I was in a different plan. Crazy. What do you think of companies that renege and make up excuses for their mistake? Be careful. For me, the product and the people behind it are both equally vital for their success. Think twice. They might suddenly change something on their TOS and you can't do anything. Nuff said.
Wow Wow Wow Such an amazing tool. Sendspark is one of the best deal I have grabbed. Very easy to setup, amazing content delivery, easy to create content and loved the embed method. I did share sendspark videos to my audience and received beautiful reactions from them. So I'm a happy user and have no issues so far with Sendspark. Love you Sendspark Founders and Team. It used to be good but now the support is not even trying to solve any problem. It's done, the tool is dead now.
It was working fine then all of a sudden then now it doesn't detect my mic or camera
Lag when recording and playback regardless of internet speed. I think if they fix that, I'd give Sendspark 5 stars.
Honest review. It's a good app, but it has a really long way to go before it'll become my main screen recording tool. Been waiting on several features for quite a while which have yet to be introduced, such as the ability to pause a recording, to go back and continue recording from a previous position, or any kind of in recording editing. Recording a long video and trip over your words or make a mistake? too bad. time to start all over from the beginning. The ability to send videos is nice, and I like how they've set up the simple landing pages. The animated thumbnail is nice, but it'd be nice to be able to control the amount of video that is shown on the thumbnail. A lot of the time it's just a stationary image as I'm still in the intro. Again, it's a good app. And as things progress and these updates are made, I'd likely give it a 5 star. But for any of my longer videos, I still find I'm using alternatives.
I've used Loom quite a bit and I think this is direct competition for that platform. I realize Sendspark is new, but there are some things that just really need to be fixed before I can put this to use frequently and to where I can realistically request others on my team to begin using it. I've been testing it for several weeks at this point and it's just hit or miss as to whether the software actually records what I've done. At least 50% of my recordings don't actually record on the first pass. And you don't know that until you're done with the recording. That's just unacceptable. It's not a hardware thing or a browser or software thing, either. I simply don't have these issues with Loom. I'm using the Chrome extension most of the time. I just completed a 10 min recording and what comes up is the demo video that the Sendspark team created, not my video. Now I need to re-record (and I will do so in Loom because I don't want to waste any more of my time). I would love for this to work properly. I love the concept of setting up the call to action to request a video back. A few other items: 1) they need to add a pause feature so you can pause while recording, 2) the branding features are limited, I still can't seem to get rid of the purple color throughout the user interface when you're actually logged on and viewing and organizing videos, 3) they should consider showing you a timer while you are recording so you can see how long your video is as you are recording, 4) the team does a great job communicating with you - very responsive, 5) they need a folder structure with security permissions controls - this would enable asynchronous meetings. I look forward to seeing continued improvements to the software, but I'm going to keep my Loom subscription for now.
