i dont liker it it desrve 0 but dat no pozbu so it get 1
Came out of nowhere without even installation, and impossible to use. It tells you you can "get freedom" to use the website again, only for it to be impossible to unrestrict anything. I wish I could rate this a 0/5 stars
have enabled a limit on twitter but nothing happens. I can still waste hours. It does not disable after 10 or 25 mins . no matter what limit i set - can you help?
very unreliable--it only launches on its own less than half the time. there are no longer dashboard controls for time limits on sites but it still cuts you off from youtube even though you never set a limit. the icons that used to take you to the site keep offering to install again even tho it's already installed. i'm guessing they fired all the coders??
Really not what I was looking for, add option for incremental time changes, such as 1 minute, 30 seconds, you will find it incredibly shocking how many times I can check my mail app in 5 minutes throughout the day, almost as if I did not have the blocker on, spending time being distracted because this app is unable to complete its basic function of limiting access to websites.
Limit used to work but now it doesn't count down when I'm visiting a website that is only supposed to allow me 30 minutes. The little popup timer gives me 30 more minutes no matter how long I spend on the site. It's been this way for a while and there is no way to get help.
The timer works but even after exceeding the allowed time it does not prevent me from entering the website that i have limited (not youtube and social media) and it does not open a green background and so on as it is written in the description. So disappointing.
Limit does not prevent me from accessing a website after the time limit is reached.
Doesnt work. Timer shows that I've far exceeded the time "Limits" but it doesn't actually do anything.
nothing happens after my time limit has passed? theres a timer on the website i put a limit on, and after the 20 minute limit, the timer just keeps going and nothing happens?
Doesn't do anything it says.
Doesn't work. set a 30 minutes limit and been on the website for 1:46:50 and didn't get kicked out :(
Unfortunately it appears that it doesn't work on Brave. The amount of time you have spent on a webpage is displayed but when it reaches its limit, the window isn't blocked or taken to Freedom green screen.
Freedom Well, you'd think freedom is very proud of themselves, the amount of people who use it! ITS SO ANNOYING WHEN IM TRYING TO USE A SITE IT HAS TO GIVE ME A STUPID "DAILY LIMIT" THING DO NOT INSTALL ITS SO ANOYYING I REPEAT DO NOT INSTALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The time limit is 1 hour today it closed its so bad Like its forcing me to close They cant give me 10 mins extra to watch
its poopy, i cant watch youtube
The timer only counts down for about 20 seconds after any interaction with the website, requiring a mouse motion or button press etc. This means it is absolutely useless for setting timers on streaming sites such as netflix, hulu, youtube, etc. Very disappointing.
Doesn't work with Youtube.
Works, but doesn't work. Overriding it is as simple as clicking "Disable Limit". You should be able to set a strong password or a cooldown time where there is no way of deactivating it. If you create a product, you must understand why people would adopt it, what's the reason behind it, what they are looking for. The reason is not being able to control ourselves over distracting content. And if we are not able to control ourselves, putting it so easy to bypass it, makes the whole thing useless. We need a wall we can set when we are thinking straight, make a decision and set that defense so that when we are weak we cannot fall into that pit. But if when we get the cravings it's super easy to continue consuming silly content, then we will. The whole point is to set barriers for that time when your will is not that strong and not being able to go through.
I downloaded it, but when i try to add a site it doesnt seem to work. I'm not sure what the problem is? Please help
This extension is pretty useless for me. The time limits should be customizable by you, in hours and seconds. there are some websites which I would like to limit in 2 mins, but the min time on this ext. is 5 mins
Although the limiting feature is brilliant, it permanently makes the page innaccessible (no, the "back" button doesn't work). Really annoying losing 10 tabs in one go like that and not being able to get them back.
No good if you have a duel screen. The counter seems to count down based on the Chrome tab being the active or focus window. So if you have youtube up but say reading the news on a second monitor the counter doesn't go down on the video even when its playing. Needs more thought put into the design. Should be based on if the tab is visible on the screen (if that is possible with Chrome).
First, I am not finished with your tool yet!! I see now that the timer for my using Startpage's search site isn't operating. Please get this fixed. Alright? I want to stick with you! Thank you!..
not consistent, very simple and easy to use but it happens a lot where it does not work. I can be watching to much youtube video and the timer is at 0 min. The reason I give this a 2 star is because once reached your daily limit for youtube it makes all you youtube video in every tabs stop working!! This mean, the next day, I can't even go back to watch those videos!! the link is corrupt and lost what I was watching. That is annoying. You can't F5 a page where it's writing "you've reached your daily limit for youtube". There is no way, can't edit the URL because there is some ASCII character all mess up in the link. to fix this, give me the link to the page you block for me. That's it. I believe this was not an issue before last january update.
there needs to be a strict mode you can't turn off. good other than that
Very nice timer on top of every site. However, it is on for literally EVERY website. Also, when the timer exceeds the limits, nothing happens.
This has a default limit for gmail, that's the only reason why I rated it a 2 star. Can you please add an option to disable it? Thank you
when i am putting a timer of 20 mins in https://www.quora.com it is not working.so kindly look into it
it doesn't work on sites which I add. strange
Blocked the pre-set websites pretty well but would not block the websites I added myself
Settings are not very useful but woks ok. When you show timer it's shows on every page not only blocked websites. It has annoying layer on every single place including localhost.
There are two or more YouTube video tabs, A and B. When tab A reaches the end of its video, tab B also goes into a paused state. However, if Chrome is closed and restarted while in this state, both tabs A and B appear as paused tabs. As a result, it becomes impossible to know which YouTube videos were originally playing in tabs A and B.
Good extension, but it doesn't differentiate between the links, youtube.com and youtube.com/shorts. I want to use youtube but not want to waste my time on shorts. Hence this extension isn't useful for me.
great work, the only problem is i can't choose exactly the number of min ex: 1, 3, 7, 13 etc...
I like the idea, I have two monitors for my setup, and I notice if I have the website open that I want limited, but am also on a different monitor, or tab, the timer stops. Only disappointment.
it works but the timer doesn't go down when the tab is unfocused, and it would be nice if it wasn't as easy to disable the blocker. a password protector would be useful here
I often have multiple YouTube tabs open, intending to watch videos later but this extension seems to replace these video tabs with its own blocking tab, preventing me from accessing the videos later. It's good that it blocks me when my time is up, but it's very annoying that tomorrow I won't be able to access those videos again. And It would also be nice to have the option to extend for 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour.
would be better if you could add password
Can't distinguish between music.youtube.com and www.youtube.com
Love the idea and the simplicity, but like others I've found that the timer simply stops working - for me it was after a couple of days. Even when I have spent well beyond the allotted time on the active tab, the timer doesn't change. I've seen the suggestions to remove and reinstall etc, and I look forward to seeing this problem resolved, but unfortunately an extension that I have to troubleshoot is not so great for my focus!
Worked great for a few days then stopped working - the time remaining never went down (Would stay at the limit I'd set e.g. 10 min). Tried messing with settings but couldn't resolve the issue.
Randomly resets the time spent counter, so not as efficient as i would like.
I liked the concept but it needs some improvement like once set limit it should not be available for update in next 24 hours.
I love this idea and became a lifetime subscriber to Freedom just to get this. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work. It will get stuck at a particular time (I use the timer) - maybe at 0 minutes, maybe at 9 minutes, etc. Usually (but not always) disabling the limits and then re-enabling them makes it work again. I really hope they get the kinks worked out, because when it does work, it keeps my online usage within reasonable limits and keeps me from wasting time online!
It's great while it works, but sometimes it just stops working. It won't block the websites because it seems like the timer is broken or something and its not counting the time spent on the website.
I wish if there is a blocking whole category for specific amount of time, Instead of having every website as a standalone.
Did not work for blocking Twitch.tv
I am missing reset time option
It worked fine until recently. Now the displayed timer doesn't track time at all (broken clock). I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my using Windows 8.1, which no longer accepts updated versions of Chrome. I tried clearing my browser cache but that didn't seem to help.
