Downloaded it, but it does not show up anywhere. There is no way to use it.

Equalizer for YouTube no longer works as of the new forced Youtube UI (it was pushed/forced onto me just today, 4/19/24, but I guess it's been rolling out for the past few months across various regions. I can find zero information anywhere online regarding a fix for this. Nothing from the addon creator. Nothing on Reddit. Nada. Really sucks to have gotten to used to this that it's almost impossible to use youtube for any type of audio at this point, esp at night (I have a roommate), and for many documentaries that have poor audio, etc. If anyone knows of an alternative (or a fix - although if the addon's creator hasn't posted a thing I doubt this is still a working addon as of this point) please post it here. Thanks.

My experience with the Equalizer for YouTube extension can be succinctly summarized as a frustrating non-starter. After going through the installation process with hopes of enhancing my YouTube audio, the extension didn't even open. It's baffling and disappointing to encounter such a fundamental issue right from the get-go. Considering that the extension fails to even open post-installation, it's impossible to assess its functionality. This glaring flaw not only wastes the user's time but also raises concerns about the reliability and efficacy of the extension as a whole. Save yourself the hassle and avoid the Equalizer for YouTube extension altogether. With plenty of other options available, there's no need to settle for a malfunctioning extension that doesn't even get off the ground.

For the most part there isn't much of a noticeable change or it creates a lot of distortion. This is across multiple devices and setups with all other software enhancements from the browser and OS disabled.

There is no Button!! Installed the addon, and there was nothing! no Button!! reloaded youtube and browser. No Button!! So this addon is a scam and pointless! 'cause there is No button!!

Short: Avoid - there must be better alternatives out there. If there aren't, still avoid extension. Long: It worked well at the beginnning which was awesome - it realy made a difference when listening to music or watching lectures with badly recorded audio. But after few days I noticed the videos would just not start to play and I would not be able to overcome this in any way. Than later the playback of videos was suddenly slowed down roughly by 20%. After some time I tried to turn of this extension and all these problems were gone! Plus one more thing - the weird tracking of my youtube activity is not ok. I will not install anything from you ever again, Zuck 2. But thanks for providing good example of bad software and it's related practices. Will do a good entry about free software and its pitfalls for my desing blog ;)

It sucks, doesn't even do anything but send me too a random website... Does nothing with YouTube!!!

Used to work, not anymore. I just get a square now. When it worked it was great.

It works and then it does Not work the only settings that sounds any good are headphones, laptop speakers which is the same as headphones, techno and live all the rest of the settings suck donkey dong!

Does not seem to make any change to the audio when i switch from presents to presents.

this was good but now its was embed in video so lot of problem facing while changing the equlizer

Its great, but why not add a "Custom" preset where we can set our own curve?

It doesn't work anymore in windows...

Somewhat buggy. When it works, it works well. Sometimes it takes several several reloads of the page before the equalizer symbol even appears and even then, sometimes changing to a different equalization has no effect.

Its okay. i hate that i cant make a custom setting to my liking, but yeah its okay i guess.

Working good...but I can't see the options when I'm in dark mode. So, please check that out.
