1. Introduction AskYuma is an early stage startup looking to enable small businesses with AI generated insights to improve their business performance. In order to do this, businesses are willing to integrate their LinkedIn messages with us through active consent giving. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data collected through our Chrome Extension, which interfaces with LinkedIn Web. User privacy is important to us. We are committed to transparency, user control, and protecting your data as well as not negatively impacting any user experience for the users of the Chrome Webstore. 2. What Data We Collect We collect LinkedIn message data only from the contacts you explicitly select. We do not bulk select chats or try to access all message content. All messages prior to the installation of the extension remains out of scope. The types of data collected may include: Message content (sent and received) Timestamps of messages Contact identifiers (name / profile URL only) We do not access messages from any other chats or contacts unless you have explicitly selected them. You have the ability to remove access by unstarring the chat any time they want. 3. How Data Is Collected Data is collected through visible interaction with the LinkedIn Web interface in your browser. Data is collected only when you open LinkedIn Web on their browser and latest messages for their selected chats are refreshed. There is no passive and ongoing collection of data that you are not aware of. We have explicitly designed a cancel function to let you cancel any message download they are not sure about. You control which contacts are selected and when data collection starts or stops. No hidden scripts or background collection occurs. The process is entirely visible to the user. 4. How We Use Your Data We use the collected data only to provide services on AskYuma, such as: Personalized chat analytics, comparable to email analytics Productivity improvement recommendations based on identity decoupled patterns across our user base We do not sell, rent, or share the data with any third parties. We do not send messages back to you based on your chats. The chats are an input to organizational performance analysis. We have no intention or product strategy to spam you on LinkedIn. Any communication between AskYuma and you will be on the AskYuma product, initiated by you. 5. Data Storage & Security We utilize Fly.dev as our secure cloud infrastructure partner for data processing and storage. Fly.dev provides enterprise-grade security measures including: Encrypted data transmission using TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit. Zero-trust networking with micro-segmented applications and encrypted internal communications. SOC 2 Type II compliance ensuring rigorous security controls and regular third-party audits. Geographic data residency allowing data to be processed in specific regions per local regulatory requirements. Automatic security patching and infrastructure monitoring to protect against vulnerabilities. Access controls with multi-factor authentication and role-based permissions for all system access. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized systems and personnel. All LinkedIn message data that you select is encrypted before transmission to Fly.dev's secure infrastructure, processed using industry-standard security protocols, and stored with AES-256 encryption at rest. Fly.dev's distributed architecture ensures high availability while maintaining strict data isolation between users. 6. Your Control You choose which contacts to include in data collection. You decide when data should be collected by opening LinkedIn Web and going to specific chats. You can stop or pause data collection at any time. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us at development@askyuma.com. 7. No Data Sharing We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties for any reason, including marketing or analytics. 8. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy from time to time.
