Sadly "by Google" become notorious to be abandonware and a reason to avoid.

Doesn't work anymore. Seems Google is no longer maintaining this. Shame.

Just a shoddy pile of links to other services. Not a good way to manage feeds.

This isn't really a review as much as a question. I've had the RSS feed for years on IE as a drop down menu but I can't seem to get that on Chrome or Edge. I do not like the full page RSS and want my drop down back now that IE is no longer supported. Any ideas please.

"Insert %s in the url..." I'm sorry what? Why do I need to do this?

Doesn't seem to work in Google Chrome on my latest Chromebook update (actually never got it to work period.....) - there used to be an RSS icon in the address bar that would "auto detect" RSS feeeeds on the current page...? But it doesn't appear....

A weird extension that asks you which other RSS news readers you'd like to open the RSS feed with.

Dec 2020: It's nearly 2021 and the description still says "upon finding one will display an RSS icon in the Omnibox." This hasn't been true for years -- Google's Chrome developers chose to break it, and the Google extension team is still pretending it works. Nov 2018: Had been great for years but now the icon is often orange even on pages with no feeds. That kills most of the value of the extension.

Doesn't work, totally useless...

I foolishly tried and tried to get this to work ... 'before I read other reviews.' There are many other RSS readers that do work great on the chrome webstore though.

Used to like this, but now it no longer provides a link to the original feed, making it impossible to subscribe using other services than the blessed ones

I am trying to fill out an application for the state. I was told by the computer to download your system. I personally HATE it. It has gotten me nowhere.

RSS feeds were going strong until Google came along to do it. I and many other switched to the google software long enough for the other feed reader efforts to fail. Then google dropped it's own support. This is right out of the Microsoft playbook: embrace and extinguish. It's just as evil when Google does it as when Microsoft did. Shame Google.

Impossible to use an external program without manual editing URL this extension offers. Last update was two years ago which speaks for itself.

Google's RSS extension is outdated and needs to be deleted. AMong the most egregious problems is the default to Bloglines, a site that went dark in early 2015. Over a year an one half ago. Please somebody at Google wake up. And please provide RSS natively in Chrome.

I don't understand why it cannot just read the feed and redirect me to some registration instead

It simple does not work. It is a dead duck. This idea has died. This thing is extinct. With apologies to the Monty Python dead parrot sketch.
