Sure would be nice as an EDGE user if this page didn't keep trying to get me to install Chrome. Guess I have no choice but to remove the extension.
Democracy died in darkness for the Washington Post the day Bezos bought the newspaper. Bezos recently decided that no one could voice their opinion in the Opinion Section if it ran contrary to Trump and his (bullish) administration. The editor of the Opinion Section for the paper resigned after 35+ years of service, and that is the day the newspaper went to h-ll. It will never be the greatness it once was where you could voice any opinion you had about current events/news topics. Back then, you could always depend on getting the real story from good people, honest folks who weren't spewing lies. A Washington Post subscription was always overpriced. But today in 2025, it is not worth more than $1-$8 per month because of recent changes to Bezos' lack of free speech policy in his solely owned newspaper.
I unsubscribed the day after the fateful decision by the owner to renege on his civic duty, but after reading the various columnists that I respect whose advice was to stay with the newspaper, I've decided to re-up. I sincerely hope the present management is replaced, but I really like a lot of the columnists. Go Harris
The layout can use some help. There is no need to mention "The Washington Post" and the date at the top, especially the date, since it is implied. If you think that hinders your brand, just make it a the title margin smaller. Currently it takes up to 25% of all space on a laptop screen. The cards itself need some breathing space. Just some minor padding between the cards and left and right margin will make the layout much more legible. Alternatively, if you want to keep the current layout, at least fix the max number of cards per row to 3-4 Additionally, the option to use a dark theme would be appreciated.
