"Pro" for a weather extension is just garbage.
It wants you to pay for additional settings and it redirects you right to pay-page after you select such option. Annoying!
Requires pro subscription to change the color of the text to white... Absolutely ridiculous
Do not install this! After using it happily for years, it has started spamming some stupid MaxAI.me extension and opening tabs to its chrome web store page. INSTANT breach of trust in my opinion. Uninstalling.
It has started randomly opening ad tabs. Get rid of it ASAP.
Started pushing Ads. Maxai.me AI Extension. Removing this extension ASAP.
Was good until the most recent update (1/18/24) started pushing max.ai tab extension stuff all over the place. What the heck?
This extension was either hacked or the authors put malicious code in it, this is the only extension I've got installed that was updated recently and today on two separate machines the store page for maxai.me, an AI extension, was opened in a new tab without me doing anything.
Useless, uninstalling.
It keeps saying that the site is not secure and it wont let me continue. Uninstalled.
wow, should pay money to change badge color from black to white. really worth it!
It detect your exact physical location!
Chromebook / they did update, and everything DISAPPEARED - what good is this ?
Just another garbage extension that wants money for the most simple feature. Out.
$10 just to have it be readable in my browser? No thank you.
No updates. Icons are blurry, not high res. Minimal settings.
This extension is pretty nice. Since Chrome added a dark theme, the text is hard to read (black on dark grey). Read the FAQ, and there's a "light badge" mentioned, without explaining how to enable it. Found it in teh settings (very cluttered and hard to see), and found out it's a PRO feature. Are you friggin kidding me? A paid feature to turn the text white? Get outta town.
Doesn't update the location. It shows the temperature somewhere else and I need to clickon it to change it every time.
The good news is this is exactly what I wanted...the bad news is I have a black theme and the icon is black. I have to pay $9.99 for a light icon - not happening!
Will not allow server location to be deleted. must upgrade to pro to have the capability.
Okay I downloaded it and then it took FOREVER to load.
hate it
i can't see it when i open it up to get more information as there is a google display covering it up and you can't get out of it to see the weather
Doesn't recognize any surrounding cities, like San Jose, CA WTH?
Didn't work.
It was taking forever to load and deleted it.
worked well for awhile, but did not like how to radar was reported. Now it does not work at all. Just will not open.
does not work. cannot open the options, or the weather.
Thinks I am in a city 600 miles away and will not allow me to change it.
have to pay to get more than one location. didn't know Yellowstone National Park. lame.
will not open
Hardly any options for the free version
doesn't work on my HP laptop...everything is blank!
Finding your location doesn't work well (ISP-related, position only off about 300km) so my forecasts are not that accurate. The extension can't make do with coordinates from forecast.io itself, which would make the extension ACTUALLY useful, since the address/zip code search seems to be aimed mainly for the US. Also needs to have 24h clock.
Won't find my accurate location. Shows me New York when I'm in Camas, washington
Everything is behind a paywall, such as lite or dark mode, and severe alerts. I like it for the radar features, but more details are behind a paywall.
Add a setting "Disable extra information on mouse hover". Annoying.
The add-on does not display the correct °C. Emailed several times. Please fix it. Thanks
If you want more than one location you have to pay for the "Pro" version. Yeesh. Removing this now, after 10 minutes of use.
Ads blocked my screen when opening a Chrome tab to see the Radar. new review: I don't like the new radar. I find the older radar easier to view and control. Maybe the FREE PRO Upgrade will be better. I have used this extension for years, so much so that my coworkers call me The Weatherman. It has been the only weather extension to get through the corporate filters.
This Chrome extension was great until this week. Now when you attempt to get daily/hourly maps it says darksky.net is refusing connection. I am able to run the darksky website without any problem from the same Chrome browser. Please fix!!!
Bare minimum, no access to radar. no up to the minute info.
After using the app some, I just can't get past how dumb the radar function is. Why would anyone care what the radar map was like 6 hours earlier? The radar should be the previous hour, up to the present, and maybe 6 hours into the future - and that's it.
Upgraded to Pro and was enjoying the extra features, until I realized you cannot turn off notifications from the extension. Constantly interrupts games with no way to disable them. Unfortunate as the extension is good at weather, but it forced me to uninstall it for peace.
I've been using this extension for so many years... but something has changed lately. The only thing I really care about(and what this thing used to be great at) is a quick view of the predicted hourly forecast... with temp, rain, wind, snow predictions. Just as important is a good animated radar map. This extension has ruined both of those features. This thing is so UN-intuitive and figuring out how to show rader map or hourly forecast has become an ugly mess. I'm searching for other options...
doesn't update itself in the extension bar
This must be one of the cleanest extension UIs! Simple to understand and use -- clear and decipherable information. However, over the last year, the temps are way off 10-20F wrong!
not enough data provided. too simple
Don't like the extension, plus it asks 10USD for a few extra options that doesn't add value?! No thanks! uninstalling
