TextExpander: Keyboard Shortcuts & Templates

This extension is horrible! It works when it wants to and it will brick your computer! Right now, this extension just opened up 37 separate windows, each one forcing itself on top each other with priority leaving me unable to click anything on my main chrome window, causing it to freeze. Before this, I was always fighting it and restarting the cache in the pop up window like 5 times before it would randomly work again.

This extension causes so much freezes in the entire Google Chrome ecosystem upon opening Google Chrome for the first time. It freezes Google Chrome for 30 minutes or more even if you have good to excellent computer specs. It's so annoying to have to wait for this extension to finish syncing and then Google Chrome backs to normal after. I will look for alternatives.

Not Working :(

It's giving me a hard time, sometimes the Snippets work, sometimes it's not. To negate the issue I just open the text expander and just copy and paste whatever notes I need, it defeats the purpose of using this app with this non stop issue!

Requires login/registration

They kept asking for money via spam emails, and it's really disappointing to see they don't have a free version of the extension.

Uselss, simply useless because it's not working neither in Gmail nor in LinkedIn and it looks like TextEpander is unable to fix the problem Yet it works in Word, but that's not where I need it I am afraid I wasted my money

This absolutely will NOT work on Chromebooks. Do Not Buy It if that is the type of device upon which you wish to use it.

Too much setup just to try it out.

This is a bit of a cheat. No warning before installing that they want to charge money - and a lot. Cannot even try before paying. That is being dishonest - they should say up front, before installing and registering, that you have to pay, or else offer a version that individuals with no org backing can use for free. Gives the impression of money grabbing.

It doesn't working on January 2021. :(

B..it. Why do I have create an email address by force? I can save the data anywhere I want actually. Cheap way to gather the emails.

I Have been using the softwqre for several years, but I can not seem to get it to stay live. When ever I reboot my machine or goe sto slep overnight the software is not ready to work as avertized. It takes a variable amount of time to activate after I initiate it. The software tells me it is connected but the expander does not operate. I move on with my work angry and disappointed , when I check back some te mies 3 min , 10 min but not working then on it s own accord it starts operating without any input from me. . It is coming up for a renewal but I am hesitant to proceed.

Right now I have this extension installed on Microsoft Edge but it doesn't work correctly. For example, on one of my websites (3CX) every time a snippet expands it will have the abbreviation still present with the expansion right after it. I also tried this on Chrome to see if it was an issue with installing a chrome extension on Microsoft Edge and it is still an issue.

Mac version is excellent - this one not so much - I still have all my Mac snippets, but they don't expand in all programs/websites nor do they expand without the hotkey - Highly ineffective and awkward to work around
