Extension is asking to download and run node.js script, and looking at the node.js script, it has major vanuralites. Is this extension malicious by design? probably not, do I want to allow an attacker this easy way to hack my computer? No.
When you use the extension from a browser that is not protected by VPN the openend other browser version will also not be protected by VPN. So, it's completely useless.
not working
junk
this sucks
The binary installation makes me very nervous. This would be the ideal way to install deep malware. If you are on OS X, Choosy does the same thing but with a signed application and with automation allowing you to choose the browser of choice with each link. There is a Choosy browser extension which works in Brave and Opera and Chromium (I don't use Chrome for privacy reasons). If an external party has audited Open in Browser Extension, I'm open to increasing my rating.
Seems to work well so far. As with others, the extra script download is worrying and not for the non-technical
Works great for me. But 3 star for 2 reasons: 1. It requires some scripting and may feel shady, 2. when I click the button to send in the Brave browser, a new Brave window pops up which is annoying. There should have an option to send it either as a background new window/tab or as popped up new window in the foreground. Please update it.
good
