There's no need for such an extension to demand a login.
requires you to sign up to their websit
extension doesnt work without an account, you cannot access any settings or use the extension in general without an account with workona. disgusting practice.
it's making my chrome force close after some time.
why the hell do I need an account for this???? **** off
So many problems and missing helpful features. You can't select multiple tabs and suspend them at the same time. There's no way to create convenient shortcuts, the only existing one opening the extension menu(useless). You should be able to create shortcuts for suspend current tab, suspend selected tabs, unsuspend, etc. Also when a tab is suspended, you can't get a link to the suspended page, you just have to unsuspend it. This seems minor but I used that all the time on Great Suspender when I wanted to copy and share a page but didn't want to reopen it. j There's also a blinding flash when you go to a suspended page at first before it becomes the proper dark mode. If they address some of these things I'll update my review.
Need to create an account to use an offline extension, absolute joke and incredibly suspicious. Uninstalled immediately
Need to create an account to be able to use it. For some reason it appears to check every single tab I have opened every once in a while. If I am alt tabbed into another program when this happen it has a high chance to crash my chrome. The more tabs I have opened the more likely it is to crash when it happens. As someone who often has a lot of tabs open I've had my chrome crash way too many times. Uninstalling. If I don't have a lot of tabs open then there are no issues with this extension other than having to create an account.
Sorry, but when I need to login. I don't like it already, it's just an extension. 2nd when I press the icon and i takes like 2 seconds to react (m1 max w. 64 GB of RAM) it feels wrong.
Dont know why it had to ask for login, my gmail. Seems like alot of information being collected for data tracking. Other suspenders have never asked for my logins. Dont even know how to go and remove my information from there
why does an 'offline' extension need an account?
Required to create account? NO WAY.
why does it require signup?
why would a tab suspender require signing up for an an account?
must create an account with them
Lots of suspended pages were gone/dissappear, cannot be retrieve.
Why do I need to sign into an account in order to use this? Switched to Tiny Suspender, no account needed.
Requires account creation. Absurd.
I can't get it to work without creating an account
why would a tab suspender require signing up for an an account? sus.
"Create a free account" just to use a tab suspender.
This extension keeps logging out.
$CAM!! NOT an extension = just a link 2 their bull$hit '$ign up 4 our account' krap = REMOVE THIS!
Requires a Workona account to work at all, why on earth? This also isn't mentioned anywhere in the description. Come on, do better.
Dangerous! ❯ 1. workona.com does not offer a tool to convert a suspendet URL back to the unsuspended URL. Therefore, it happens that YOU WILL LOSE your URLs. It happened to us. ❯ 2. This extension forces you to allow that the Website (not the extension!!) workona.com is able to see ALL YOUR Browser data. For sure, you do not want this: Workona.com can see everything you do on your Browser. Additionally, to just suspend Tabs, this extension does not need this permission at all.
Why should such a simple addon require creating an account?
There is a weird bug right now that instantly suspends an unused tab even though I set it at 30 minutes, and this causes immense lag because of how many tabs I have open. Edit 20.08.23: "Never suspend tabs that are playing audio or video" Suspends tabs that are playing audio or video... Edit 17.10.23: Login is broken since an entire week. You can login but once you try to change settings you're already logged out again. Edit 15.12.23: Pretty sure this kind of turned into a bitcoin miner, it spikes my CPU from 3-10% to nearly 75% for around 10-20 seconds each few minutes, either that or it is very badly programmed.
Not making an account or signing in, fortunately it still seems to work without one.
orces you to log in
Very bad XP on macbook m2 chrome. Just does not work with groups
Requires an account to function where other suspenders do not.
Does not work for me
Allen Ding is Correct. You have to signup for an account and they do sell your BROWSING INFORMATION. NO THANK YOU!
Requires you to sign up for an account for no reason. They also sell your data to advertisers, according to their privacy policy.
All my tabs and workspaces suddenly dissapeared. This ruined my workflow. Can't reach support due to server errors on their website.
"SIGN UP" LOL NO
The regular Workona extension is brilliant but unforunately I cannot continue using it because the 'suspender' extension makes me lose my tabs instead. It would suspend and unsuspend perfectly fine in the first few minutes but then if you leave it too long and go to unsuspend your tabs, it will not allow your tab to load and loose it. Very disappointed because I really wanted to continue using this extension but all my tabs were lost because of this extension.
It shouldn't require an account to suspend tabs - immediate uninstall. Use Tab Suspender instead. It has amazing feature set.
Why a Tab Suspend plugin needs register a account? And it collects unnecessary privacy data.
You need to create an account to suspend a tab? Are you serious? Just very bad, forget it.
It shouldn't require an account to suspend taps immediate uninstall
Looks like a bloatware. After installation it is trying to enforce registration on some rough site.
First off, I'm not sure why there is a separate tab suspender when the regular Workona Tab Manager claims that it also suspends tabs. But when I couldn't get Workona regular to suspend my tabs, I was told I needed the separate tab suspender listed here...except, it doesn't work, either. I really wanted to like this, and I hoped it would take the place of The Great Suspender. If you manually suspend other tabs, it does it for ALL open windows, not just the other tabs in the active window, which is frustrating. But the biggest issue is that the auto-suspend feature (which is what matters most to me) doesn't work properly. It will suspend if I set it to do it after 1 minute, but who does that? You could take 1 minute to read a short article! I want to set it for an hour. It has yet to suspend anything. I've tried setting it to 25 tabs max. Still nothing. So now I have two extensions weighing me down that aren't doing anything, and even though I have a lot of my tabs suspended manually, my computer performance is much slower than before when I was using The Great Suspender (and nothing else has changed about my setup except replacing it with these two Workona extensions.) I guess I'll have to look for something else.
Why do I have to create an account or login with Google to use it?
Used to work, now it demands a workona registration just to suspend tabs. What a joke
"Workona Tab Suspender" is not the same as "The Great Suspender". Workona needs to be registered on their website and does not unload tabs from memory. Useless extension.
This tab suspender was working great before, but starting a few weeks ago, it has stopped auto-suspending tabs. I can only manually suspend tabs now, which is annoying and kinda ruins the point of the whole thing.
Why account?
Cannot even see the settings without signing up... Not ready to share my email for a sus extension in my browser.
Works, but uses vast amounts of resources without being able to accurately see in Task Manager. Whole system is lagging with all software having problems. Removed and problem disappears.
