Destroyed my chrome tab groups.Do not install it.

IT IS TOO MUCH. CHANGING EVERYTHING, REMOVING TAB GROUPS, DOING STUFF AS IT DESIRES, OPENS A "HIDDEN WINDOW' WHICH IS NOT VERY HIDDEN AND IT DOESN'T GIVE AN OPTION FOR A REVERT! NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO LIVE IN YOUR WORLD! MAYBE YOUR WORLD IS PERFECT FOR YOU, MAYBE THIS IS THE BEST CHROME EXTENSION EVER BUT STILL IT MIGHT NOT BE FOR EVERYONE. SO, DON'T TRY TO TAKE CONTROL OF EVERYTHING. GIVE THE OPTION TO OPT-OUT (SAFELY!!)

Removed all my tab groups and deleted from history. Bin this rubbish

Most stupid extension ever. Losing all my 200 tabs just because they moved them temporarily to some windows to somewhere and I could't restore anymore.

This extension deleted all my tabs as soon as I installed it. AVOID IT DO NOT INSTALL IT!!!

It doesn't remember my open bookmarks after closing the windows of the browser! That would be better also if: 1. it showed and collapsed Chrome's Groups in the Space 2. We could add Notes and Properties for a Tab 3. We had a Shortcut for switching between Spaces without the step with CHoosing a space like it works for ⌘ + ` in Chrome on MacOS

Not does this not do the one thing I want it to do - namely, save tabs automatically - it will actually screw up your history if you happen to accidentally use it while restoring them in the normal way, making it actively detrimental.

I have my tabs organized and it was working fine for 2 months until - it stopped saving my new tabs in my organised groups and when I switched to another group, it would revert my tabs back to the original state that I found them in that group. I'm not sure if this is a setting thing but it very annoying.

Could be fantastic. I had high hopes. But after only a week of use, I lost a bunch of personal tabs. I won't be using it anymore.

They won't tell you about the limit of 5 spaces saving for Free plan...

I have 2 windows, 400 tabs in 1st window, 15 tabs in 2nd windows, my 2nd window got closed... now i don't see where it is now... the 1st window is okay... this thing is buggy and slow.. every time i open another space.. it reloads all the tabs and it takes long time... what an annoying people!

destroyed all 200 of my tabs. no refunds, no backups, it CONTINUES attempting to take over MY ENTIRE BROWSER. do NOT attempt to use this before watching a 30-minute tutorial. i've lost hours of work, probably some tabs i left hidden days ago for later use, now they're ALL GONE. because this extension basically nuked my entire workspace. how can an extension take over someone's entire browser like that without clear warnings!?? i thought this was gonna help me transfer some tabs from another browser - BIG MISTAKE. it basically OVERWROTE EVERYTHING from the second browser and nuked everything from my first browser. and because chrome is such a trash browser, all the history is messed up now and everything is gone. not only that, since i was attempting to move ~70 youtube tabs, it forced-loaded it in both browsers, which probably ate up all of the RAM in a 10-mile radius. froze my PC for the first time in years. just the most horrifying experience. did i mention that it also exploded all of the grouped tabs i had? every group got ungrouped. again, with no warning, just wham it's taken over. when the AI overlords win, i hope they would be more gentle than this nightmare.

This extension is ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING. What a COMPLETE WASTE of time and energy! I’m BEYOND PISSED OFF! I only tried this because Gettoby.com started charging, but this GARBAGE doesn’t even come close, this is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE and ALMOST UNUSABLE! The experience is a TOTAL DISASTER. I tried to create a new space to save some unsaved tabs. After creating it, it suddenly opened a window called “HIDDEN TABS”, and threw all my tabs in there. The WORST PART? YOU CAN’T EVEN CLICK OR VIEW THEM. They’re just TRAPPED in there. What the HELL is the point of this window?! Your only option is to CLOSE THE WINDOW—and LOSE ALL YOUR TABS. After I closed that window, I had NO CHOICE but to go through my browser history and reopen each tab ONE BY ONE. After all that effort, EVERY SINGLE TAB I REOPENED got IMMEDIATELY sucked back into that STUPID “HIDDEN TABS” window! What is even the POINT of this “HIDDEN TABS” window?! Is it there to MESS THINGS UP even more?! I couldn’t use my browser NORMALLY at all! I was HONESTLY SO FURIOUS I NEARLY SMASHED MY COMPUTER! And when I click on a space name, it just OPENS A NEW WINDOW and MAKES ALL MY TABS DISAPPEAR. I’m seriously asking WHAT were the designers THINKING?! This is ONE OF THE WORST USER EXPERIENCES I’VE EVER HAD. I was so MAD I ALMOST SMASHED MY COMPUTER. This extension is PURE FRUSTRATION in CODE FORM. UNBELIEVABLE.

Does not work with Vivaldi. Has been nothing but a headache, every time I click on the Workona button in my browser it asks me to allow additional permissions to log me in. I am already logged in, this is stupid beyond reason and when I did create a space on the website aspect it still shows every single active tab despite me being in the space. I like the idea of it but it just doesn't work like you would expect something that has been out for this long to.

completely unintuitive interface. in space shows unsaved bookmarks - and offers to open them. Why? Why open already open bookmarks? so that there are twice as many of them? Deleted after the app decided to request even more permissions. Clicking on the extension icon in the Google extensions list does nothing.

I am livid right now. I organized all of my tabs a few days ago. Today, my system shut down unexpectedly and when I rebooted, every tab I had in my four spaces were completely deleted! I don't have any record, now, of what tabs I was using, unlike Chrome which can restore lost tabs. The ONLY tabs I still have are the ones in the space I had open - every other one is gone.

If you don't know how to use it, it will get your tabs deleted!!! Now I am wasting my time looking for them in the history and I don't know actually what I had opened last two weeks so I will have to check everything I had opened!!

Workona had such promise, and ironically worked perfectly up until they started requiring me to purchase a paid subscription to keep my number of workspaces. I used it for roughly a year and half until it eventually just became unusable. I was constantly dealing with issues where tabs wouldn't be synced properly between different machines, duplicate tabs being created, tabs from other workspaces being added, tabs that I had closed being opened repeated over and over... I worked on all of these and more over multiple months with support and I was never able to resolve ANY of these issues, despite them occurring on both Firefox and Chrome and both my Macbook Pro and my Windows 11 desktop. At this point, I can no longer recommend the extension to anyone, but if you like the IDEA of Workona, I would encourage you to check out Microsoft Edge and their "Workspaces" implementation, which works exactly as how I WISH Workona worked.

Horrible experience. Everything is slow. Laggy. Windows close, open, close, open. Data gets lost in hidden tabs. Tabs pausing doesn't work. I should get paid to use this horrific extension.

Absolutely buggy all the time. Been destroyed my works and saves, including Chrome saved tabs dozens of times at this point. It's HORRIBLE and extremely glitchy. Will never use ever again

Tabs wouldn't get saved, and it wouldn't sync anymore.

Since recently, the extension does not function anymore. Constant log-outs, forgetting tabs (thanks a lot by the way :-/), and now - a blank page instead of the Workona tab. I don't know what's going on, but this is not acceptable.

Useless just ruins my experience with its weird tab management, closes tabs reandomly and doesn't allow me to access them

I have 300+ tabs opened. When I try to manage them by workona, at first it saves all my tabs in the workona, which is very nice. But when I tried to classify these tabs into spaces, it told me that I needed to subscribe to the pro plan. I didn't expect that. So I decided to quit using it. But I can't find a way to export the tabs that I previously saved. At this time, I am not happy. So I decided to open all the tabs so that I could export it with another Chrome extension. And the browser sucks when I open 300+ tabs. So I have to kill Chrome directly. When I reopen the browser, the tabs are gone! I lost about 100+ tabs!!!! I was very angry about it.

Was looking for a plugin to keep my tabs in history (as chrome doesn't do this correctly), and sync them across different devices. This plugin behaves like complete malware - as soon as I installed it it began closing all my windows and jumbling tabs from different windows together with no warning and it was not easy to get them all back before uninstalling the plugin.

Stop making us all lose our time! Add to the extension description in the Chrome web store that now it is required a subscription (of at least $7/month) to be able to use more than 5 spaces! Why do you hide in the Chrome web store that this extension is not free?! Also, I understand you just want to make money, but with this new limit you just turned your original nice extension into a nonsense. When a user has less than 5 spaces only, they don't need your extension in the first place.

I was originally excited for this extensions since I really wanted to organize my tabs and while I will give it to them that this extension does a great job at doing that, when I used it the next day, around 3/4ths of my tabs where all erased. I had separated all of my tabs to their right spaces and it worked for around 3 tries, but on the 4th try, almost all of my tabs where gone, not even backed up in the cloud. I'll stick to just going back in my history but I was really excited for this extension. Such a bummer.

Tries to do too much. Am concerned with the privacy & it deleted my saved session with about 10 tabs the night before a show. Have used other ones that are simpler and work a lot better and would stay away.

Only use workona.com if you completely trust them. workona.com reads and store ALL YOUR VISITED URLs, inclusive all URL-Parameters. This is a huge security issue.

Destroyed all my 30 perfectly functioning native chrome tab groups with hundreds of tabs in them. Huge regret trying Workona 😡😡😡

The idea behind this is absolutely fantastic - manage and sync tabs across your computers. I needed that solution, so I tried and tried and I tried really hard to make it work. And it would work great for days, sometimes weeks and then it would lose my open tabs. I'd get mad and give up only to go back to their support team, they'd send a reply ensuring me that problems have been solved... And then it would happen again - I'd lose tabs. So I gave up. When I received their email couple days ago, I was very happy - they acknowledged that there was a problem in sync subsystem and now they have rewritten the whole extension, they poured their 6 years of experience into it and now it is rock solid. I ran back, I tried using it again and within 15 minutes it lost all my unsaved spaces. This is the worst kind of product - it has great idea, it has great implementation 98% of the time... And then, when those 2% hit you will lose all your saved and / or unsaved spaces and tabs. I have been so badly burned, I don't see how they can regain user's trust. Wish you all the best, I will go back to manually copy / pasting tabs between my computers at work and at home - I might forget something, but at least I will not be losing tabs randomly.

I wish I would never discover such an extension. It lost all of my saved bookmarks which I accumulated over time. In addition I had to invest a whole day to save all of my bookmarks from workona back to Chrome Bookmarks. I lost bookmarks and time. It ruined my life. I don't know how you guys just start an application before prior testing for the core service it should provide, i.e. just saving some pages, before all the fancy additional stuff which shouldn't be that important. You should do what you promise to do first...

I know this is great app. Google Chrome has added tab group feature now. Workona has to save group tab too.

DOES NOT work with tab groups. All your tabs groups can get deleted.

Somehow, I got this extension misconfigured, so that it gets into a doom loop. It opens each tab in its own window, and then minimizes each window, all asynchronously and running continuously. Given a large number of tabs and a large number of windows to start with, this took my machine down for more than an hour when it kicked off, before I just killed Chrome, and it restarts every time I quit and then relaunch Chrome. I have resorted to simply removing the extension, since Chrome is unusable when it's present.

Trying to write a Review on this Extension, it seems as though Google has a monopoly on these ratings, blocking just about everything you try to do to submit a 1 Star Review, hence all the HIGH ratings that you see about a Google Extension. This one, just like others have noted, this Extension is just NOT worth $7 / mo (nearly the cost of NetFlix / Discovery+) and you have NO Entertainment value within / provided. Yet, as one other user provided, there is an EXCELLENT alternative, Vivaldi, which works EXCELLENTLY with Chrome, importing your workspace is a breeze. My only issue is that Google may squash such a lovely platform as Vivaldi, just as MS did with Netscape. Besides that, this guy "artur artur Modified Oct 10, 2023" left a really detailed valid complaint. Oh, before using it, be sure to have "Session Buddy" installed and saving a few sessions as using this Extension (Workona) will wipe your sessions away. Be safe, not sorry!!!

Only 5 spaces for the free version? And you only warn about it once I've invested my time creating and organizing my stuff, just to see you want to charge me as much as Netflix just to save a few KB of URLs in the cloud. You should paywall sharing spaces, which makes sense in the enterprise, but just for saving a list of URLs? Way too expensive for the home user. I'll just move to Vivaldi, which offers the same functionality and it can integrate workspaces into the tab bar. It's sad because I was thinking about suggesting this product at work due to all the sharing capabilities, but if it cannot even serve a home user without an expensive subscription... why bother? I would have even considered it for $7/y without sharing capabilities, but $7/month? I can cover Microsoft 365 for 6 members of my family for £7.99 (all six!) and that includes email, MS Office and 6TB of OneDrive storage. You must be out of your mind with those prices.
