Stopped working and PIA appear to be making no effort to fix

Every time I try to come back to this extension it's broken.

Horrible. Got corrupted and had to reinstall. Constantly disconnects. Keep getting a pop up in my browser to sign into PIA when I'm already signed into the chrome extension. Had it installed for 6 months and hasnt been any improvements.

Completely breaks certain websites. Even when I add a bypass rule for that website or disconnect the vpn. I just can't use certain websites at all with this extension installed.

The worst service I have ever paid money for. Simply doesn't work. I would rather risk getting sued by my ISP than ever give another cent to this service. Even when it did work, it wasn't too great.

Worthless. Keeps disconnecting and most servers fail to connect at all despite showing as 'connected' in the extension.

Hey, PIA. Are you reading reviews here? I bought VPN and when I'm using this extension my sessions are being disconnected 5-10 times per day without any reasons. Free VPN extensions don't have such issues. Are you ok with such behaviour? Could this extension work as laptop application which don't have such issues???

Worst vpn ever I don't recommend. when you connect to the UK you get Denmark. Waste of money, time and effort. Useless both desktop app and extension.

Literally the worst reliability when it comes to connectivity. Just drops connections regularly and frequently and at the most inconvenient times. Split tunneling on the native app doesn't work too well on MacOS so sometimes I need to go granular with the VPN. But this extension isn't it. Total garbage.

Should change their initials from PIA to PITA (pain in the a$$). This retarted extension keeps working on domains that I have set to "bypass". It constantly wants me to log back in for no good reason. It's more of a headache than it is worth. What the @!#$ am I paying these idiots for. Why can't their desktop software include an option in the split-tunnel for domain names instead of just IP address? Seriously, get your act together!

It doesn't appear that PIA has a GUI interface for the install and setup of the PIA app for the HP Chromebook. So far all they seem to be able to provide is an coded app of many pages of coding to install on the HP Chromebook. And... they keep trying to get me to install the Android app version to a Linux based Chromebook. Guess my only option is to go to NordVPN...

99% of the time it disconnects after 30 sec-1minute and you appear offline so it's useless and it's a pain to use

The service is pretty much unusable recently, I connect to Tokyo and face ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED errors. Sometimes switching to another country will work but that doesn't help me become Japanese.

When it's on, some sites don't work, but the biggest problem is that it's missing all of Latin American countries.

The browser extension constantly disconnects and has been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. I get disconnected about 5+ times in 15 minutes. It is completely unusable. On top of that it keeps asking me for a login and password every time it disconnects even though I told it to remember me when I initially installed it. FIX IT PLEASE.

every time connecting problem waste money and time

I was disappointed because the message too many login attempts always appeared. even though I correctly entered the username and password. I have 5 accounts also experiencing the same thing. after I waited 2500 seconds. When I tried to log in again it came back and I had to wait 1300 seconds, this VPN is really bad. changes must be made immediately. I request that PIA remove this notification feature immediately.

I can't login. All I get is Login request returned an unexpected server response (500)

Keeps logging off every 5-10 seconds. Very Frustrating

Terrible extension. Feels like it isn't maintained or something. Currently, the listed servers are between 3000-3500ms latency. When I use a private browser window, PIA tries to make me log back in through a Chrome pop-up "...proxy.privateinternetbrowsing.com:80" which I do not trust, becuase I am already logged in via the app.. Connection drops often. Android app is almost as bad as the Chrome app. Windows app is the only thing that seems to work well. I will not be renewing my subsctiption.

Keeps logging me out, requiring me to re-enter credentials every 30minutes or so. Often stops working until I manually re-connect to a different server.

I need to insert my credentials every 10 minutes

terrible, no support for multiple ips on one same device, its 2024, who would eliminate this if its the main reason people get VPN, how would you be able to use a chrome extension to watch Tv in one country while your local connection remains local., terrible company cause it worked for weeks until two days ago.

While the vpn service works, the chrome addon rarely works as expected.

this extensions is easily hacked if not purposefully designed for tracking spying. my entire pc was recording via this app &another chrome extension. stick with regular .exe's

Connection error net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED You might have lost connectivity to the internet, your connection might have been temporarily interrupted, or the Private Internet Access server you are connecting to might have connectivity issues.

Its stated that a VPN is available in every US state. Total BS, maybe 12 total. Cancelling this so called service.

Fails open rather than failing safe. It will log you out every couple of months, not notify you, and not block any internet traffic, effectively leaking your traffic until you notice it.

Still doesn't work, connection interrupts intermittently. Tried last time a year ago and it was the same. The VPN itself works very well, i've had it for years but this plugin.. Just doesn't.

cannot login on browser

Doesn't seem to work in Spain anymore. Cant access BBC anymore through Manchester. Looking at the recent reviews it would seem they've taken the money and disappeared.

Don't work in Russia

Worked ok for 2 years, now it logged me out and doesn't work as an extension for 1 month already. Company seems to be not interested in fixing at all.

The service was working fine until last week, it has become very bad. There are always errors and problems in entering the site and activating the account. Unfortunately, the company renewed the account automatically for a full year, but despite that, the service does not work and I do not benefit from it now. I am now using the free Windscribe service and it is excellent and far better.

terrible extension, will always completely lose connection regardless of which server you pick. The desktop app/regular program is great, but this extension is awful and not reliable

Literally can't even log in, getting 403 errors for weeks.

Horrible extension. I've been having problem to log in on different websites, cookies blocked from trustable sources, and websites not loading at all, even with the extension off. As soon as I disable it, all the issues with my browser got fixed. Again, horrible extension, I regret buying this VPN.
