You need to create an account to operate with this VPN, but you cannot use another VPN for this. It turns out that if VPNs are blocked in your country, you will not be able to register, and if they are allowed, then why do you ever need a VPN at all?

the login captcha in this extension is a nightmare, if you have a mouse with low DPI or a high resolution screen, good luck putting dickbutt in its silhouette, it's stupid, can you at least add more options

I’ve been a paying Windscribe user for several years, but the experience has steadily declined. A few months ago, the macOS app started consuming too much memory and would often crash other apps. I reported it via email but never received a response. Now, the Chrome extension is breaking basic site functionality, like date fields in Gmail — something I expect to work without interference. These bugs make the service frustrating to rely on, and the lack of support or fixes is disappointing for a paid product.

This is so scam extension , in their add they say 10 GB is free for first time , just need to sign up , after when you install the extension and login then they show you 1 MB left and upgrade to use , why google chrome is letting these kind of scam extension in web store , i wish i can sue the company , do not install this app , it a fraudulent app which is baiting you into giving your info by showing fake free VPN , i request to google chrome look into this matter and permanently remove this extension from Chrome web store

This used to be a good extension (4/5) but.: -1 star: Ad blocking on YT is not supported anymore -1 star: Multiple times a day when i click the extension i'm spammed with announcements i don't care about. I PAY FOR THIS, LET ME JUST USE IT! -1 star: It is not saving any of my allowlist anywhere after reinstall, if you plan to use this extension for prolonged time and you invest time in config, you'll lose it all when you reinstall or install on another device. You should have really wrote at the very first paragraph that 'free' option is 10gb limited, so people like i would not even download it.

For some reason whenever this extension is connected on Vivaldi on Mac, it redirects all my Google searches to Yahoo through some site called finditonlinenow. Whether the extension or app is connected, it happens. As soon as either is disabled, it stops happening. Very odd and wondering now if the extension has been compromised.

Windscribe is one of the few companies I have encountered that absolutely refuses to issue a refund if you miss the trial expiry date, even if you haven't used their service for even a second. They are aware of this through their logs. This behavior strikes me as dishonest and indicative of a lack of customer care. I will never use their service again in the future.

Absolutely useless service. Downloaded the extension for Chrome. But I couldn't launch it. First it asked to register an account. Then it asked to update to the paid PRO version.

Windscribe used to be a legitimate company in Canada. Not only are they now selling swag to make a few extra bucks off of you, they charge in US dollars for all their services now. This makes them one of the most expensive VPN's in the world to use. They think people will spend $9 US a month for this when you get a real VPN like Nord for only $4.39 CAD per month or Proton VPN for $3.79 CAD per month. It is too bad that this once great company has fallen so far, so fast.

Windscribe Extension is detected by YouTube and some other websites as an Ad-Blocker, and of course websites won't open. I had to disable it to browse those sites Edit: there is an exclusion option (Allowlist) Edit2: Extension causes errors in facebook chat even when not connected.

Will not allow access to iPlayer. Installation was a waste or time. These VPNs all claim that you can use iPlayer, but none of the ones free or you pay for give you access. BBC is not stupid. They look down the tunnel and see its a VPN and block you.

It took me some time to come to the conclusion that this extension is pretty much useless. It doesn't really conceal your location; it just creates a false sense of security. When I choose New York or Miami, some websites think I'm in a completely different country. I also discovered that when visiting a site that reveals your actual location, my complete real address, including building number and street, was displayed. Perhaps I am not utilizing Windscribe correctly, or maybe I need to pay to access its full benefits which I will NEVER do.

Doesn't work in Russia, it tries to open https://windscribe.com and can't. The extension is supposed to bypass blocks, can't it even unblock its own site, really? Does someone pay money for this?

This used to be great but now it doesn't work anymore. Have deleted it and redownloaded it nothing. It won't work, won't let me pick a location.

This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions.

I had a lifetime 50GB promotion. The tried to cancel it. Due to backlash they offered an alternative 10$/year alternative lifetime subscription. Now it's getting cancelled because apparently "adding a new card to my account" is something impossible due to quantum mechanics and general relativity or something. Disgusting dishonesty.
