Open with Google Docs

It's pretty revealing when a years-old extension's developers still haven't even clearly articulated what the extension actually does. It's called "Open with Google Docs," but then also "open-with-word.freefinancetools.net," so... I'm pretty sure it's meant to either open Google Docs within Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Word .docx files within Google Docs, within some unspecified context? But discovering the most fundamental details -- exactly what, or when, or why, or how! -- shouldn't require an investigation by the user, trying to unravel the secrets hidden behind such extraordinarily vague language like some deeply uninteresting mystery. Who has the time, but also needs productivity tools? But hey, that's just me.

Chrome has this feature built in. I thought this opened the file in the browser, but no, it just opens the document on to your computer. Also the tutorial is not well set up.

What this extension does is have you right-click a link, which lets you save the file as usual, and then it just loads your word processor and opens the file. In other words, instead of clicking to open the file after downloading it, you right-click and choose to open it with Word before downloading it. Since you have to move the pointer down to choose the right option after right-clicking, this extension is actually slighty slower (!) than just opening the files normally. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this extension to anyone.
