well i just had your app scan a paper that i wrote with a little assistance from ai...i wanted to see how accurate it said everything that i had written myseld was ai and that everything that the ai helped with was me....needless to say i found your app quite humorous and i hope that teachers arent actually depending on this to grade peoples papers... you may be failing people who you shouldnt....
does not work at all. requires account.
For some reason, the best feature (writing/revision history) now doesn't work and loads infinitely. Same goes for the AI detection, which also loads infinitely and never shows. Before, when it was actually working, this extension was really great (even if there was an AI detection limit which was pretty limiting), but now it doesn't work at all.
This is complete BS! I know for a fact that I write all my songs. Does this mean I think like AI or maybe AI has been listening to me. I know for sure what I write. I make it flow how I want it. So I guess I think like AI...I do use AI for word definitions and spelling but I wouldn't call it mine if I used AI to write. Thanks but no thanks.
EXTREMELY effective and is a must for all students! Gives very accurate results and is a great tool to use in case you want to make sure your paraphrased AI paragraph is good enough.
This does not work, just use the website. I have a folder of past essays that were proven to be using AI. I actually used the GPTZero site which flagged the information as well as outside sources flagged by Google Classroom's tools. This extension was not flagging those same AI written texts, if any.
All it does is link to the GPTZero dashboard. Does literally nothing - whats the point in this?
I wish they would provide the ability to give 0 or negative stars. This extension is wholly unreliable. The Share button does not function most of the time and consistently fails due to unknown errors. Do not waste your time with this extension or GPTZero for that matter. Google its reliability as an AI checker.
Used to work great (albeit with a cramped character limit), but now no longer works for some reason. 1/5.
Doesn't work I wanted to see what it thought of my story but won't check it on royal road. Make it compatible with all websites, thank you much.
App is terrible it cant detect anything and many people are being wrongly punished. STOP tricking teachers into thinking this helps against AI the real defense is us as humans. YOU cant put computer vs computer. Tell teachers the right way such as their eyes or programs such as gogaurdian.
Very inaccurate. Several colleagues unfairly punished students because of your extension! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Beyond inaccurate, Just because I am remotely literate and I have an above average vocabulary that's big enough to use words with more 4+ syllables, doesn't make me a robot
Inaccurate way too many times even testing on my own work
It's frustrating that a lot of education systems are now relying on AI tools to check for AI plagiarism. To be fair, the development and widespread usage of chatgpt was expected, as students have access to this program due to its convenience. Teachers and professors have to be more diligent and take precaution when grading an assignment, given its human written or AI generated. No matter if you're a student who uses AI tools frequently or not at all, schools will still rely on tools like this to detect AI. The major problem is that these AI detection tools are flawed to an extent. While most AI detection tools will accurately detect a fully AI written essay, they usually incorrectly accuse an essay to be AI written even if its fully human written. This is unfair to the people who actually spent time to write the assignment, then having to explain ourselves. Many AI tools can be also manipulated that it shows a completely different result even though you only reworded a single sentence. For example, when I was writing a report, I ran it thru this program and received a detection score of 75%. By changing a single sentence, I was able to change the score from 75% to 23%, which shows the lack of depth this tool has when checking your essay. Overall, there is nothing us as students to do about this. The extensive usage of AI generators cause for doubt, and it is inevitable that the education system will be continuing to utilize AI tools to check over our work. AI detection tools like this is unreliable and is a piece of sh-
The fact that the only way to prevent false positives is to manually register your google docs history is a huge red flag of how these detectors are not reliable at all. This is single-handedly ruining the lives of thousands of students all around the world, and the fact that this company is even benefitting from it is crazy.
Being recently accused of AI use when no use was thought of, it's astonishing how there really is no way to prove yourself otherwise. A false positive is a bad grade for a professor, but how do you prove otherwise through the vague editing history in Google Docs? The works cited page that could've been more or less utilized? The various types of writing marginally entering the realm of AI? It's awful humans have to rewind to a more primal way of writing and use less creativity when AI detectors such as this deem scholarly articles or college essays as written by AI. Keep in mind, an original essay I had in High School before AI was 70%. Mind-blowing this finicky software is trusted more than the student. By the way, Origin's "writing report" feature leads to downloading their simple AI detector. SO, there really is no way to prove yourself otherwise.
It flagged one of my papers as 93 percent ai i downloaded this to show i wrote it this is ridiculous im in college and dont want to be expelled for a false positive like this
Used to be great. But nowadays it has a lot of false positives. I have checked with multiple works I did in 2020, 2021, 2022 and it flags all of them as AI, even though back then there was no AI. I think GPTZero team no longer cares about human written content, only trying to look as effective as possible regardless of the costs. The potential to harm innocent people with this tool is extremely high.
I recently had one of my professors flag my essay as AI, even though I did not partake in any AI. I showed my professor the editing and time I took on the paper and only got partial credit it back. So I copied and pasted my essay into this and it sill flagged it AI. I can only assume Turnitin and Origin by ChatGPT use the same software, but this is causing students to receive bad grades because of false positive. I read somewhere that they are going to watermark their work so hopefully that comes soon but this truly has caused more harm than good.
Nearly lost my job due to a false positive. Also so many students are using AI that the extra time it takes to use this I could just be teaching. This is the reason I'm leaving the profession of education. Also I don't know how telling students that they can't use AI will help them in the real world, where it's everywhere.
Does not work at all, I wrote multiple paragraphs by hand, and it classified it as A.I written. On the contrary, I also got paragraphs from chatGPT, and it classified it as a.i written. It even thought the declaration of independence was a.i written. Absolutely preposterous! I don't even think that this should be advertised as an ai detector!
does not work reliably at all, tbh I don't see how this can work with the underlying domain changing tested with bard..chatgpt4 etc
Generated content using ChatGPT, Bard and Bing AI - all outputs are being marked as written by "Human". So it does not work, at the moment.
Tried it on my graduation thesis many times, got a generic error. I'm imagining how I would feel submitting the paper and my advisor telling me we haven't been able to confirm the authenticity of your work yet so we'll have to wait on scheduling your defense. Not very good.
Dumb app
Promises a lot but a nightmare to work out how to use efficiently
works okay for what it's intended for but is overall a broken extension. it breaks a lot of website code, especially for device theme related stuff which is horrible for accessibility. would recommend setting this to only access site data on click in your browser extension settings
Hello...Maybe someone out here has an idea. My report was working well for a long while, but now it doesn't want to actually display the writing report. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, how have you found a way to mitigate it so that when the report runs, it actually opens and shows the information. Thank you.
How comes I write my own essay with my own head and hands, then scanning it for AI they tell me that it is 10% written by AI. There is no sentence highlighted that shows AI, but still 10% probability for AI. How does this system predict the AI content??
Used to be great! But recently it has started flagging my own writing as AI-generated. Something is going wrong in the back end.. No longer reliable
To be frank, this AI detection tool is a bit clunky and unreliable. I'd much prefer a platform that's easy to use and comprehensively improves my writing efficiency. Something like TinaMind, which integrates mind mapping with AI writing, and even lets you pick different AI models, feels like it would make the workflow so much smoother and more productive.
Decent, google docs feature is good but sharing does not work, it says it generated a link, but no link appears, the link in the top search bar does not work as well, defeats my purpose of downloading
Helpful tool, but sometimes it does seem to give a false positive, otherwise it does help in knowing the originality of papers.
Gave the extension a go. It's paid?! No thanks. ReplyPal does the same for free.
Could you add support for google docs? That was the only thing I wanted it to really do. Originality.ai has an extension that works for docs. Thanks
