Doesn't work, nothing happens when click on Launch

chrome is literally a pc if you have no life, no goals and no work. i cant open excel i cant open word. ii cant even place documents together. its disgusting. im soooooo frustrated. am i supposed to stop working because i trusted the wrong company with a purchase and now has to suffer? who ever created this update has completely turned me off from an impression of chrome. this is the first and last chrome book i buy. thank you editors who decided to ruin every ones work day. i think we all deserve a refund for this purchase. chrome TOOK the work capability away from everyone that allows us to get paid...

for Chromebook very hard to use excel bring back the extension please

they need money for each and every function they are always forcing me to activate microsoft365 subscription by depriving me from all the features in it , i can not even create an blank workbook i can only use it to read the documents only which cannot be edited this is why i hate this version , i am not even intrested in giving them half star , because when there is no service available in it then why should i even give them half star , they do not deserve any i wish i could have any option to block this application forever

why can't I remove this extension ?

I wasted so much time on this and it wasn't even worth it, definitely don't recommend this the best you can do is just pay in an official site and do a free trial.

I thought this might at least just be a link to the Excel version in Office 365. It just opens up a browser tab with a bunch of cells. I can't edit anything and there is no menu in it. I don't know what's up, but it isn't working on my CB.

the blurb says online excel has all the functions of desktop excel , apart from three little functions. It doesnt. It has only bare bones features and lacks page control or preview functions. The help function is useless too. written by geeks for geeks and lacking any care to answer the actual question without raising more. Its guaranteed to give you a migraine and let you down.

If your looking for a full-fledged Excel for your Chromebook this isn't it. Multiple features like: Pivot tables, Histograms, and the entire DATA TAB are not accessible, as in they are NOT IN THIS PAID VERSION. If you need Excel for it's use, beyond basic spreadsheets, look elsewhere.

There are so few functions that are available in this online version that its more frustrating than helpful. A huge waste of time switching from Google Docs

Needed this for a temporary job for my daughter who is learning Excel at school (yes, I disagree but there is not much I can do). Added to my Chromebook and says it needs a Microsoft or student/work account. I had an old hotmail account that I hadn't used in ages, so I ran the app. Ok, where is the local file browser to open the Esxcel file stored in a USB drive? I know this is an "online" app, but being unable to open a local file is ridiculous. They have taken the online thing too far. It seems I need to upload a local file so I can download it again for use. And no, I will not register my credit card in order to use Office365 for a couple of hours, even if it is free for a month. Maybe there is a way but I cannot find it.

Pretty much a waste of time, didn't get to even open a document, Just kept loading, or at least saying it was.

Do not want to make another account to use Excel.

I can't use solver at all , it keeps glitching out and telling me to sign in while I am already signed in.

the one single file i needed will not open. says it has been deleted or renamed, but I can open it through onedrive on my phone. waste of time.

Oh my God this is bad. I tried this for about two minutes to see if it would work any better than Sheets for my existing xlsx spreadsheets. NOPE. I think I'd rather go through the temporary inconvenience of some minor corrections than have to deal with this all day long. Not only that, but you won't allow for Google Drive integration? You expect me to use OneDrive? Oh, Microsoft, you're painfully unaware of just how far behind Google you really are.

I can't change my work email just to use this program.

Worthless if you need to work on files not stored on Microsofts drive. Cannot open local files or files on Google Drive. Another Microsoft con job. Nice that the description tells what it can do. Not nice that it doesn't tell you what it can't do.

how the hell do I include the slope of a line graph. I wish it had more options microsoft excel 2007, or any old versions.

It is pointless to use this application because it doesn't offer hardly any of the functions Microsoft Excel does. Its basic and a waste of time. Goodluck if your in a computer lecture class. Campus library it is.

Workbook protected files can't be opened, waste of time.

Pointless - I can't open my files within the same tab (as in Google Drive) - instead in opens new browser tab, thus rendering this webapp wothless.. Don't get me wrong - the app itself (Excel) is OK, could use some work but is fine. Worthless is this link to the webapp - if I create SSB webapp (i.e. desktop shortcut) from this, it will still need two more browser tabs to open any file. In Google Sheets I can do everything within one tab, making it more suitable as SSB webapp.

No option to create custom colors. No option for heading styles. BAD.

Why I can't save on Google Drive anymore?

Bought a Chromebook today so I can more easily work on my Excel spreadsheets but I can't open my password protected files using Excel Online.

I fail to see what benefit this offers over using a bookmark to access my o365 excel.

Performance is beyond awful.

Need to log in before testing

The app is fine, except you can't save back to Google Drive. MS has a "killer app" in their hand and once again they blew it. Allow me to save back to Google Drive, and MS has won me back. But no.... Who makes these decisions at MS anyway? MS might think denying us the ability to save to Google might force us back to MS, but it just means I will stick with Google Sheets, which works just fine on all my (Android) devices.

Lacks support of medium sized file. Is also painfully slow...

Unfortunately, the process could not be completed because you want to take too long. How do I solve this problem ?
