Was working great up until a few months ago; I was using Google Chrome for the entire time. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and still not working. I even used Yahoo search (which is horrible) that they recommend and it still does not count any searches. This is really sad, since it's the animals who lose out. It would be nice if it worked, and if it worked with Chrome.

This extension is predatory, do not install it. First, it does not tell that it exclusively works with Yahoo search. If you want Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or anything else, you're bum out of luck because once you install this addon your search bar is unchangeably set to Yahoo search through Search for a Cause. And yes, you heard me right - you cannot change it back! Not only have I made doubly sure the settings direct the search tab to google, but I have uninstalled and restarted both the browser and my computer... twice! I'm still stuck with garbage Yahoo search! But that's not the end of it, either!! Okay so maybe Yahoo isn't as good as Google, but it's still serviceable, right? Wrong. You are stuck with the default search settings. Want to search for a video? You will be unable to sort by length, date published, or anything like that. Want to search for an image? Not only do you not have reverse image search, you can't sort by size or anything else, either. I am currently HARDSTUCK with a neutered version of the worst search engine, and I have uninstalled this stupid addon and reset everything. This is plainly predatory, dishonest behavior from Gladly. I have been using Tab for a Cause for something like 4 years now, with like over 80,000 points donated before they changed the way it worked. After seeing the philosophy of the company behind this, I'm uninstalling. If you want to donate to charity, your time would literally be better-spent mechnical turking for an hour for sub-minimum-wage pay to just donate that to whatever charity you wanted. Do not give these people the time of day, they are crooks and scheisters who take most of the money generate through ads to pay themselves in the first place. Shame on them for preying on people who only want to help.

Uninstalled. Tab icon is Yahoo and it says "Powered by Bing" in the footer... Do I need to say more?

WHY can't I use Google. Yahoo won't work with me, and I can't find the Search for a Cause homepage. There may not be one. Worst extension ever.

This isn't a search engine. It's just a link to google search.

I like the idea behind this, but why can't I adjust the Yahoo Search options? It enforced a different language on me even though I want it set to English.

If it is google search, i'll install this extension back.

It didn't work for me. Waste of time. Edit: When I removed extension it worked. It's yahoo, though, so got rid of it.

It did not show and it just brought me to google

Sticking with tabs for a cause cuz this is honestly trash

Used to be better than it is now. I've decided to remove the extension because while I like supporting Tab for a Cause through Search for a Cause, the search engine is simply bad. After scrolling through a page of results, the results repeat and only change in order, not the next page of sites. Perhaps if the search results were based off Google, this would work much better.

I love the concept! However, Bing search just isn't as good as Google search. As a result of that, I'm not going to continue using this extension. If I could use a search engine that's not Bing, this would be at least 4 stars.

It changed all my data that i searched for and it came up with irrelevant things like stores in the UK rather that Australia, and things in Scotland. I will still use tab for a cause but it was too much of a hassle to find what i wanted.

If it wasn't powered by bing I'd have no problems with it, but since google is the way forward I'll stick to Tab for a cause.

If you're worried about being locked to Yahoo as a search engine, check out their other extension "Tab for a Cause"; you can edit the search engine, and choose a preferred charity/cause. Unfortunately, it's one extra step to search something since you have to open a new tab, but at least you can personalize things. I think if this were built into Tab for a Cause, rather than being a separate extension, that could improve the user experience and allow settings to be shared by both.

Appreciate the intention, but it just doesn't work super great for me. Would love if the search could give Google results directly, instead of Yahoo.

I like the concept but my extension is not recognized

If only this was build with the google search engine. It can only use yahoo search which is a downgrade from google. I've tried sticking with it but yahoo just does not find what I'm looking for, order of results is all messed up and not in popularity ranking, searching for images is just less convenient and gives worse results than google. More of a complaint about yahoo, but I guess Gladly weren't able to integrate the extension with google.

Love the concept, but two things significantly impact its usefulness to me: the lack of dark mode, and inability to expand images. I really don't want to visit a website and scroll through if searching for an image every time I want to view one in better detail. I'll revisit this down the road to see if it's been developed further, but right now it's too raw to adopt for daily usage.

Great idea but I don't like the lack of customization options or the fact that it uses yahoo search engine, I had become so used to using the google search engine, I wish it let you choose. Uninstalling until more options are available.

I love the idea behind it, but I'm not loving the poor search results and the hideous UI. Also a dark theme is always essential for the eyes.

I would've rated it higher otherwise, but for some reason, my search result are always in Spanish. Other than that, it's a 5-star.

i like the idea and as someone who uses google chrome for everything, i wouldn't even be upset about yahoo/bing being used if the search engine had a dark mode.

Really really needs a dark mode. Please

The searching is fine but its missing googles features like dice and clac. Also the ads blend in to well with the searches making it hard to find the thing I'm looking for.

it is great because it is for charity, but tab for a cause doesn't effect search results. if they used google search results and had a few ads up top i would use it. make it look more like google as well

I really want to use search for a cause with tab for a cause, but I simply can not the reason is the search engine. I do not blame search for a cause for this but you guys need to find a way to work with Google. You do great job with wrong partner.

Good Concept. Bad Design. Cons. The Theme Is Not Good. It takes pretty long to get rid of it. They Pretend They Care About feedback but we all now that is going to where the proof of epstein committing suicide, no where. Pros. It Donates to charity which is always honorable

Its very good, But it defiantly lacks what i thing is an essential to a browser.

It's a nice idea. I'm deciding between this and Ekoru.org which cleans oceans with every search and they are hydro-powered. Ocean plastics are becoming ridiculous

Sad it uses Bing, but good concept. Maybe add a search count on every search engine, probably a bubble that you can customize the position of, so you can put it anywhere.

I really like the idea but as a developer I cannot use this. Day to day when trying to find specific answers to technical questions, BING just doesn't cut the mustard. The results are just poor. In my personal life I may be able to abide bing, but since I work on my personal laptop I just can't have this app installed. Such a shame, please change over to Google search backend.

Great idea. I really want to get behind it, but Bing is holding me back. Bing is such an inferior search engine. If you can make it powered by Google then I'd be all aboard with 5 stars!

Great concept and I'm sticking with it for now (as a huge fan of Tab For a Cause). That being said, it lacks many of Google's features, such as a calculator in the search bar, conversions, translations, and (most importantly) definitions. Its presentation of information is also much less comprehensive than Google's. Overall, it's a great idea but is not the greatest as a search engine. Some polishing is necessary!

Until Search for a Cause switches away from Bing and is more transparent about the donation percentages, I will be sticking with Ecosia which uses nearly all of its revenue to plant trees.

Amazing idea. Unfortunately it is powered by Bing. Everyone else is saying it already but I will add my review in too so hopefully you (the app developer) can see how many people dislike being forced to use Bing. The inconvenience of ads, I can totally deal with for charity. Bing however, I cannot. Please get google support or at least another option other than Bing. Until then, sadly i'll be sticking to Tab for a Cause and google.

The idea is really good, but having to use bing is a big downside for me. For people who don't mind using bing: Absolutey recommended. There's genuinely zero reason to not have this extension. But personally, I'll just stick with Tab for a Cause and using Google.

If it used google search instead of bing, I'd be all for it, but bing is just not near as good. Half the time when I google something it's to make sure I spelled it right or to find out what some obscure word means. "Define: " doesn't work and it doesn't give spelling suggestions... Sorry, but looks like I'm sticking with just Tab for a Cause, no Search for a Cause.
