SYMBL is a Google Chrome extension from the team behind symbl.cc, the world’s largest encyclopedia of characters and symbols. Find, copy, and paste any Unicode characters and emoji in a few clicks. It includes 150,000+ Unicode characters: emoji, letters, ideographs, and scripts from around the world, plus math and technical symbols, currency symbols, arrows, punctuation, typographic marks, and thousands of other special characters. SYMBL is for anyone who needs characters they don’t have on their keyboard—designers, editors, developers, students, and anyone formatting documents, emails, and social media posts. HOW TO USE 1️⃣ Open SYMBL from the Chrome extensions menu. 2️⃣ Search by a character name or code, or browse the collections to find what you need. 3️⃣ Click a character to copy it to your clipboard. 4️⃣ Paste it anywhere using Ctrl+V or Cmd+V. Pin SYMBL to the Chrome toolbar to open it in one click. FAQ Do I need to register? No. The extension works without registration or sign-in. Is the extension paid? No. The extension and all its features are free. Why isn’t a character displayed? Your device or app can’t show that character because the font you’re using doesn’t include it. That’s why you may see a placeholder instead, like a square or an empty space. Why do characters and emoji look different? The look of the same character depends on the font. Emoji don’t have a single universal design: each platform uses its own style, so they can look different across devices and apps. Why does a character copy but not paste? Many websites and apps restrict which characters are allowed. Even if a character displays correctly, a service may reject it and remove it during input or saving. This depends on the rules of that specific service.
