AdGuard AdBlocker

This extension has actually brought back sponsored and suggested posts to facebook, that FB Purity removed. Deactivated and installed uBlock Origin Lite, and the sponsored and suggested post are gone again.

Dont like it. It always says "something went wrong" on the tray icon. I've gone through all the "contact us" helps, online suggestions etc etc. I should get paid for all the time I have spent trying to fix "something went wrong", its so annoying.

It used to take 10 minutes to fix a broken YouTube ad. Now we have to wait 3 days for a 'stable update' because of these rule limits and the store review process. I’m seeing ads for the first time in 5 years because the 'Quick Fix' dynamic rules hit their 5,000 limit almost immediately.

Thanks to MV3, these Adguard filters are automatically disabled on Chrome: AdGuard Tracking Protection filter and Dandelion Sprout's Anti-Malware List. uBlock origin is still available or switch to Firefox or add Tampermonkey to you get much better protection.

My ad blocker has not worked for two days can't do anything to make it work.

Got this because UBOlite stopped functioning on Youtube. This also does not function on Youtube, and instead skips full videos and playlists. Does block the ads, but also fully blocks any videos I try to watch which is the opposite of helpful

Slow and misses ads more and more. Cannot report unsupported sites without a github account. Something changed for the worse recently, as you can see by the flood of fake reviews. I miss uBo, which this was a very poor replacement for (when it worked at all).

your adguard does not block ad from minigame mail ru

It's the most frustrating app I have ever used. It blocks stuff I want to see. And you have to be incredibly tech-savvy to understand it. Whoever designed the app did so from a programmer's perspective, not from an average-day user's perspective.

AdGuard has nothing but open contempt for the Google Chrome version of this AdBlocker. As of today (04/11/2025), the filters haven't updated since 28th of October while the version I have running in Edge was not only updated today, but runs EasyList as well (the Google Chrome version does not). And sure enough, the one from Edge works a lot better. Spoke to AdGuard support about this, and their "fix" has proven to be entirely useless, so this review is my attempt to warn others about this version. Get AdGuard for another browser, because the Google Chrome one suffers from the AdGuard team's open and blatant neglect.

It used to work well on YouTube, but since the last update it's not working very well. Keep getting Pop up ads before new video starts. Please fix it. Thanks

It really used to be good, but it blocks just about nothing, now. It's way better on the phone. They give almost no love to the chrome browser.

Updated recently to add in its own ads, including a popup ad when launching the browser.

On 10/27/2025 after an update this extension no longer works. I can't fix it. It used to be really good, now doesn't even work.

watered down where by its not worth having any longer, was once a useful product.

This went from a Chrome extension to avoid ads to a Chrome extension that forces ads onto your screen. This extension will continually put ads over anything you are browsing now.

trash. 10 out 10 will never get again.

dosent work corectly on youtube also when is activated is bugged, slowing down heavily and making youtube toon work very slowly, so at all the good adblocker what was in past now turned on usssles app, please fix ASAP... Thank you!

The extensions no longer seems to be working.

update made it so redirects and pop ups happen when they didnt before. only change is it sends me to adgaurd generated page where it seeks a pat on the back for stopping the redirect or pop up destination. like thanks but I liked it better when i forgot how many bad actors there online because my ad blocked worked. this even when youve bought pro doesn't let you forget. So those bad actors inckude google who made ad block usless. i mis ublockorigin

The user goes through the trouble of blocking ads, and a few days later, the same ads are back again. You should change the name to "momentary ad blocker"...

This *used* to be good. Now sites like facebook, youtube and instagram won't/can't show any content as long as this extension is running. The sites are now causing THIS extension to literally filters out the content as ad content. I use this on my android phone, and literally see no ads removed, mobile is slow as hell (disabling the addon and the mobile is fast again), app wants me to pay for more blocking although nothing is being blocked. If I could give 0 or even negative stars I would. If the author can't fix this, then the extension can be discontinued! This should be classified as 'harmful to device'.

It doesn't block too many sites, many of them seem like they don't want to work.. or did they agree with the companies?! That wouldn't be a good thing!

Not good. I found a better extension. I use one called Genius Adblocker, and it works on all ads with more advanced features: 1) Genius Adblocker Pro (Best All-in-One Ad Blocking and Security) ______ 2) Ublock

I have been using this extension for quite a long time, but now this won't hold ads anymore on YT.
