Same here, logs me out, but other than that, looks good
keeps logging me out every time in less than a minute.
The extension works fine on the main Overleaf instance. However, it doesn’t work on self-hosted Overleaf servers, which is puzzling. There’s no logical reason why it shouldn’t work on the exact same instance of Overleaf with just a different URL. The sidebar should be visible on self-hosted instances.
I use Paperpal for writing help in Overleaf and it works well for improving my academic English. However, there's a big problem that makes it hard to use. When Paperpal runs on all websites, it breaks basic functions on many sites like YouTube and others. Links and buttons stop working - the mouse cursor doesn't change when you hover over links and clicking does nothing. This makes normal web browsing impossible. I tried to fix this by setting Paperpal to work only on specific sites where I need it, mainly Overleaf. But Chrome rejects most URL patterns as "invalid web address," even simple ones for Overleaf projects. This means users have to choose between having the extension break other websites or manually turning it on and off every time they want to use it. The writing assistance itself is useful and helps with my academic work, but these technical problems make the extension frustrating to use. The developers need to fix the URL validation issues and stop the extension from interfering with normal website functions. I would rate this higher if these basic compatibility problems were solved. Right now, the technical issues outweigh the benefits for many users who work on multiple websites.
