This is a terrible extension. After using it to analyze few Google Scholar profiles, my access to Google Scholar was blocked because it sends too many requests from your IP address. I haven’t been able to access Google Scholar for two days now and I keep getting the following message: "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. Please try your request again later. Why did this happen?" There’s no reCAPTCHA checkbox at all. In the end I had to reset IP address on my modem settings because turning it off and on did not do the job.
This tool demonstrates a wrong approach backed by NO scientific data. This is common when developers have little to no clue about what they are doing. The listing of authors doesn't necessarily correspond to author efforts, more so with correspondence. Developers sat down, hand-picked a handful of sources, wrote a single paper and assumed it was a novel approach.
Wrong approach to quantification of research relevance and participation of researchers in project based on applying a discipline-specific author order to ANY research output of ANY field is inconsistent with scientific practice and should not be considered. I commend the attempt to make researcher stats more than citations and h-index, but this is not the way forward.
I don't get the same result with the same profile on two browsers. One is very wrong.... what's the go?
