Tasks for Canvas – now supporting Blackboard, D2L Brightspace

still not really working with brightspace. i have used before in the past with canvas and i loved it and was excited when i saw that its supposed to work with brightspace and whenever i go to use the extension i see the message, "Navigate to Canvas and reload the page." hopefully it gets working soon cause i really enjoyed this extension but seems there are still some bugs needing to be fixed ◡̈

I lost my 82 day streak because I forgot to do a assignment and I submitted assignments and it didn't go up my lawyers will be contacting you.

I kind of like it but I don't when it resets so it gets a 4 if it don't resets it will get a five my streak is at a 62 if is restes I'm going to crash

This is a very bad app and has glitches all the time. I had way over a 400 streak, on turning in my assignments then it randomly glitched and now says I only have a 49 day streak even though yesterday I had over 400. Really frustrating to see all my progress deleted just within one day and then given a weird streak number.

Your website wasn't working and I lost my streak because of it.

It's been great for the most part until today. I had a 165 day streak, top 3% of users, and for some reason it reset my streak to 4 days even though I've never missed an assignment. That streak helped me feel motivated and now I'm just mad.

I lost my almost 400 day streak because one of my professors accidently put an assignment that wasn't truly on Wednesday the 24th. This is the only thing I liked about this extension and there was no grace even if it wasn't truly my fault.

will reset your streak if the task needs to be done off canvas, and you get credit for it unless you mark it as done before the deadline. There is no way to reverse this.

lost streak of 290+ days due to a bug? unsure why tbh, but I didnt miss any assignments lol.

my 120 day streak got lost even though I turned everything in.

This says its compatible for blackboard, but whenever i try to use this when im on the bb page, its says go to canvas. Anyone else have this issue?

This is an amazing extension and I highly recommend to any people using canvas , helps to keep track of the assignment.

I had a 60-day streak but I just lost it the other day because I didn't turn an assignment in yet it was a Tuesday and the assignment wasn't due until Friday. Why would I lose the streak if it's not even past the due date?

Please get rid of the streaks

the new streaks addition wont load!

the whole sidebar wont show up, the rings, the to do, nothing is showing up just the default canvas side bar with the important dates or whatever. i tried refreshing and re opening the whole website and nothing works, I even uninstalled and installed to my chrome extension and still doesn't work.

I was really looking forward to this extension especially after seeing so many others use it. But after getting it no matter what I do it doesn’t show my assignments the way I want. It keeps telling me I have 0 assignments for a class on the circles but under the circles it shows me that I have an assignment the I haven’t done. And it will tell me I've done 100% out of the 0 assignments I have due, how can I complete 100% of "zero" assignments.

It won't load for me

No matter what it said "failed to load" even after changing settings around and reloading countless times. I was excited for this but it just never loaded properly.

It gives two of my computers blue screens on occasion

I lost my 450 day streak after I "missed" and in class assignment from which I was excused from and there is no way to get that streak back. Kind of a disappointing feature when you are dedicated for over a year.

it helps a little yeah, but at the start of the year the streak thing glitched me to 300 days without missing, then reset at the new semester, then i had 32 days without missing, i checked in study hall today, the same day later im doing my homework and it says 2 days without missing a task. like its so glitchy!!!!

Loved it but it broke my streak for no reason after being in the top 3%. Not cool.

I literally loved tasks for canvas, but then, I lost my streak. I did not miss any assignment, all assignments were checked off and turned in on time, according to the dashboard, I "missed an assignment" making me lose my streak of almost 300. It is very frustrating.

It has not been working lately! I have lost my streak :(

It turns gray and is unclickable, maybe it can't detect my school's canvas site

I love the streak though I had 125 days as my streak and it just reseted today after I submitted all my work I emailed it to fix it please but its still on a 2 day streak I will be patient and wait till its fixed.

Hate that it doesn't count a GRADED assignment that doesn't need a submission - it just reset my 200 day streak when I didn't even need to submit anything/assignment and it's been graded. There should be 'repair streak' options tbh.

It's great but now the streaks function is way too strict. Assignments that don't require a submission, like reminders from professors, that don't get checked off can ruin your streak now ... not cool!

i had a 200+ day streak and it ended despite me turning in the assignment. canvas said i did not, but i did and even clicked the checkbox to confirm, but it still ended. super sad about that but good app nonetheless!

I love this extension but my task streak just reset incorrectly when I had quite a long streak going and you can't get it back, so kind of disappointing you can't correct it :(

the "blank days without missing a task" isn't accurate! submitted some assignments early and it didn't count them and I lost my hundreds of days without missing a task.

currently using this for blackboard and it has made it so much more palatable and nice-looking, BUT. the task/sidebar doesn't work, which is the main reason i wanted to use this. i can't see any of my assignments and have lost track of everything because i was relying on it. i tried to click on the support link but nobody has responded and this is my last resort. UPDATE: as of today, feb 2026, the admins have not reached out or fixed the issue. i am trying to reach them again today because this is frustrating, and i used to love this when i used canvas.

I love this app if I am logged in as a student; however, as a parent, if I'm logged in and toggling between my two students the extension does not function at all. It either shows everything 100% complete of shows only graded assignments for all students. When I try and filter by course, there are no options at all. It would be incredibly useful to be able to use this extension even when logged in as a parent.

good addon but reset my 93 streak back to 0 even though I completed 2 assignments

Its nice to know how much i have left for the week but the streak feature sucks because if i have an in class assignment that my teacher grades without needing to be submitted my streak if lost and its frustrating to think i am missing an assignment just to find out it was already don't but not checked off.

very good features but I'm upset I lost my long streak for literally no reason.

I wish there was an option to hide the to-do list. I thought the "Hide default To Do sidebar" would hide it but it doesn't seem to do anything.
