Some update caused Chrome to block it. What is this trash? It worked fine but now is broken due to some update. Great. Use another extension as this may be vibe coded as after updates it just stops working.

This inverts ALL colours, so screws with charts, text and cell colours. It's not dark mode, it's 'invert mode'

Utter trash, and then to charge such an obscene amount for it with it barely functioning? Skip this.

Asking for a sub after a a bit of use - scummy. Everything related to there being a sub is out of view, very unclear.

Ridiculous pricing for zero features. I am happy to support good developers, but this is exploitation. This extension offers no settings or customization and has the nerve to charge $5.99/month or $59 for a lifetime license. Even worse, it auto-disables after one day to force you into a subscription. If you want a dark mode that actually lets you customize the look and doesn't demand a monthly fee for a basic task, get DocsAfterDark(For Google Docs). I’d rather donate $100 to a developer providing a free, high-quality tool than give a single cent to this extension. Total nightmare.

$2 a month or $50 for a lifetime subscription. I'll let you be the judge of that. There are multiple other free options available.

should NOT be a subscription. paying should be OPTIONAL and not a "free trial". I HIGHLY recommend the extension "Dark Night - Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Apps Script Dark Mode" by NERDYJINNYAS. completely free and no BS.

Paid subscription extension. It's 2$/month or 50$ lifetime. I'm also a developer and we struggle but this is outrageous.

ATTENTION: this extension will work for a few days and then will force a subscription on you to make it work, 2$ a month or 49$ for a lifetime. Figured I would say it because it does NOT say it on the actual extension page. It genuinely confounds me that a *dark mode* extension, which requires no upkeep costs at all, would require a subscription. Dark Reader doesn't require a subscription, so as far as I am concerned, this extension does not have an excuse. If the three developers of this extension are being paid that much, to justify a subscription model for a dark mode extension, then I would consider a different line of work. The quality of the extension itself is perfectly fine, worked well, but if this is the trade off, not having it and I'd imagine neither will most people. I, for one, am sick of subscription services being shoved into everything. A subscription model to add a dark mode to one site is purely baffling and almost comical. By the way, add it to your actual extension page, this is a bait and switch.

This would be a great app, but apparently after a few days it requires a monthly subscription. Hey devs, news flash; dark mode on Google Sheets is not such a lifesaving thing that people are going to pay monthly for it. Such a baffling business decision that it's almost funny.

Charging an outrageous subscription fee for such a basic feature. Pro tip - you can just remove the extension and reinstall it to continue using without paying. Just make it free and add a donate button like a good little developer, you'd probably make more money that way.

I couln't get it to work at first (there are zero instructions on how to set it up. You have to pin the extension to access the on/off toggle) Once I got it working, I used it for one evening. It worked wonderfully. The next evening I went to toggle it on and it wants me to pay a subscription $9.99 Monthly or $150 for a year/lifetime. I understand you need to support apps like this, but you should have listed that it was a paid extension from the begining.

It did not do anything to google sheets. It's exactly as it was before.

Did not get the dark theme button when accessing Google Sheets after installing the extension. No information on the extension page on what to do if the button is not appearing. Was not able to to get the extension to work with what was presented on their page.

Looks trash as hell, it doesnt even work well, still tried it anyway since my eyes are getting blinded. Its bad, i dont recommend it.. Below is my rating of the extension. Dark mode rating system for apps that DONT have dark mode: Darkness: 6/10, It was dark, yes but in a weird.. dark way?? Retain of text: 1/10, we actually just literally flipped the text color or even just changed the color of the text Design: 0/10, overall TRASH. Overall: 7/30, or 1.2 stars
