Gmail Inline Image Fit

Sadly doesn't work. My colleague on a MAC/Chrome does not have this same issue looking at the same email with large images; her desktop shrinks the images automatically. I was hoping this would fix the issue for my on a PC.

Used to work - now it doesn't. Absolutely HATE(!) Google for not just fixing this stupid issue. "Dear" Google, why are you so arrogant?

Completely useless, has no effect whatsoever.

As far as I can tell, this extension does absolutely nothing. I'm still scrolling side to side like crazy, just as much as I did before installing the extension.

Doesn't do what it's supposed to, so I still have to scroll horizontally for large images in Gmail.

This extension does nothing. At all. It has no effect at all. What it's supposed to do would be AMAZING! It's something I desperately, desperately need. But this extension does not do it. In fact it does nothing at all.

This extension was awesome when it worked (seriously, why doesn't Gmail do this? I hate side-scrolling!), but within the past couple months, it no longer does. In fact, it's even worse than that - ever since it stopped working, it does the opposite, and causes many images to appear larger! Left a support note four weeks ago, but it seems the developer is AWOL. I'm removing it.

Used to work phenomenally, was one of my best add-ons, now it doesn't work at all.

I need an extension that does what this one says it will do, but I installed it in my new MacBook Air and it didn't have any effect. I still have to scroll very far left and right to read some emails in gmail.

The extension is awesome with one exception: It hides the little down arrow that is found in the header of each email. So i can choose between seeing images without side scrolling or zooming way out; or i can see the details of the sender of an email (which, unfortunately, I need to do constantly for my job.) Once that bug is worked out, then its 5 stars.

This is brilliant for extremely large embedded images. Downside is that all sent emojis and signature emojis look HUGE. Please update the extension to do away with this strange side effect.

This extension does what it says. It takes oversized inline images in Gmail and reduces them to a max width of 100% of the parent element's size. In other words, it fits the image on the screen so that you don't have to scroll horizontally to view the image and find the reply button. As other reviewers have noted, one significant downside is that this extension makes emojis annoyingly large. Can't you just make the max-width: 100% without changing the size of smaller images? If you could fix that I would give the extension five stars.

This extension enlarges emojis quite a bit, which is why I give it 3 stars.

makes the show details arrow in gmail vanish

It does the job! However it also affects other images – application icons and image in message editor, making it impossible to resize image when composing a message. Looking forward for the next version!

Worked great till recently, when it messed up the "Show Details" button to see the list of recipients of an email. The button now appears as a single pixel (see this question: https://support.google.com/mail/thread/6629703?hl=en). Disabled this extension till this issue can be fixed.

This extension has stopped working with the recent gmail design update. It was great before! Hopefully the extension can be updated soon...

Unfortunately the gmail star symbol disappears on some messages with this extension activated. I opened a issue in the tracker, but no response. :-(
