VHelper

This application is really nice. Though there is a massive drawback when using this tool since the lead developer randomly decides how you may or may not use Amazon Vine (I'm not talking about the extension, but the Amazon Service and Web site) and thus will ban you if you dare develop your own tools even if they do not explicitely use the Vine Helper extension. The developper has it's own private and hidden ban policy that will hit you if it monitors that you use Amazon in a wait the extensions developer doesn't not approve. This makes absolutely no sense, but he's in denial of it's own abusive behavior, pretending "you are free to use or not the extension". In fact, I'm not free at all because the extension triggers on my tools and I can't do anything about it, so the dev requests me to stop using my tool. Another huge drawback conserns the extension copyrights anoucements. It is said to be open-source software, and it can be seen here and there that its open-source. Though, the developer told me it was not anymore, and the official FAQ where it is explicitely indicated is not up-to-date. So if you believed you where using and maybe willing to contribute to open-source software, it is not. Of course, I will adjust my comment when behaviors and out-of-date information will be known to be updated. I'm no willing to affect any reputation, I'm just reporting elements as-is.

useless outside the US

Worked fine until 3.9 release. Now I get a notification error, get no stats for my items in view, and there is no way to backload a previous release. Whenever I try to go to v-helper.com or https://api.v-helper.com, I get thrown a "page not found" error as well. This is a shame, as I've enjoyed using this extension for about 6 months, however at this point it seems more worthwhile to find other options. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Something was always a bit off with this plugin. First off I never liked how when I found a new item it would actually pop-up in the notification monitor before fully loading on my current tab. This means that others will be able to grab the item before you even get a chance to make it to checkout. There should be a 60 second delay or something before giving the items you find to the rest of the people and they steal it from you. You can verify this just by having the 2 tabs up next to each other when searching. I also noticed a significant difference between free and paid, basically giving paid a significant advantage by leveraging those free users. The big reason I am writing this review though is to warn others! I was just removed from Vine after years with no issues. They cited it was for using "unauthorized tools". The only tool I have ever used was this plugin, so I guess that tells me everything I need to know. I did get a lot of nice products using this plugin, but it was definitely not worth losing my Vine status over it.

Wanted it to work but couldn't get past the notification and socket error even with notifications turned on.

Doesn't seem to work with Amazon AU :(

Was such a great tool but after the most recent update, its MUCH slower to open links to items on the notifications monitor. It used to be very quick and now it isn't and I'm missing so many things. I'd much rather have the old, quick version back than the new features I don't use.

The update removed new item pop up. Anyone know how to fix it?
