Description

This extension automatically blocks all Youtube ads. It supports all different types of ads: Type 1: Ads that appear in the homepage. Type 2: Ads that appear on top of the suggested list of videos. Type 3: Ads that appear under the description. Type 4: Skippable 5-second-must-be-watched video ads that appear at the beginning of the video, in the middle or at the end. Type 5: Ads that are similar to type 4 but there are two video ads appearing in row instead of one. Type 6: Unskippable 10-second-must-be-watched video ads We do not monitor your browsing history, or collect information about you at all. All the stats displayed are saved in your local device and are not shared with any parties or databases at all.

no longer functional (@Sept 17,2024) Just use F5 to refresh and skip the ad(s), and then > right key 3x to return to where you were previously watching.

First impressions: So far, so good. I'll update this review later as I notice either good consistency or some issues and likely increase/reduce my rating as necessary. I'm on the lookout for the following issues: – Letting video ads play momentarily before blocking them – Inconsistency blocking video ads (i.e., not always blocking them) – Inconsistency blocking non-video ads – Blocking content (thumbnails, video/comment interaction tools, comments, age-restricted prompts, etc.) – Noticeable/noteworthy performance issues (bugs, errors, hitching, slow loading, etc.) Edit 1: I've already noticed the first issue. Not good. This is pretty much a dealbreaker for me, but I'll continue testing anyway just to see what other issues come up. Edit 2: Yeah, this happens a lot, and sometimes an ad plays for almost a full second before getting detected and blocked.
