Hasn't worked for ages. Apparently is on all the time, but does nothing to stop 'active webRTC connections' error.
Great Extension but always wonder, why do they need "site access"/ permissions to see my site visit!?! Please remove this permission. In your privacy practice you declared "The publisher has disclosed that it will not collect or use your data", I wonder, why the site access permission then?
Stopped working in Chrome!
Every check on https://ipleak.net/ shows the real IP address. NO hiding at all. :(
It does block WebRTC as can be tested at ipleak.net. However, it interferes with some sites. For example, with WebRTC disabled, users can log into Google Voice but get stuck with an eternally spinning blue circle icon that never progresses to load the web pages to use Google Voice. This app has no whitelist. The user cannot exclude some sites from WebRTC blocking. Without a whitelist, I will remove this extension. I like the added security but as with NoScript, uBlock Origin, uMatrix, and other web security tools, there is a means of excluding some sites -- but NOT with this app. Oh, when you go to this extension's support site, enter a description and steps to reproduce, you are wasting your time. Upon clicking submit, a page shows up saying "URL not found". There is no bug reporting as professed.
document.documentElement.appendChild will inject the script as a child element of the <html> tag, which will cause some website errors.
This is not working. But Protect EXT. does
Causes CPU single thread full load.
If WebRTC Control help me to prevent my ip address exposed to the public then when i enable the extention & i search what is my ip it showing me the same ip address which was without the WebRTC Control, then what is the use of WebRTC Control?
Very suspect extension. Inject javascript in every page where selecting text raise a popup for sharing. Removed it by security.
I was looking for an addon to block webrtc connections because powerdevil reported for some sites "WEBRTC has active peer connections" that prevented my system from sleeping. This addon initially seemed to work but later found it didn't for all websites.
Doesn't block Device Enumeration API, identifiable information still leaks.
Does its job, but after a long period of browser runtime (days) it'll eventually crash (?) and cause high CPU load. On my 3700X, the last CPU core (not thread) will be hovering between 70-90% when that happens. Toggling this extension off and back on immediately makes the CPU load settle back down so.. meh idk
It works, but constantly causes high cpu load.
it actually cause the root process of chrome CPU 100% sometimes,
Good, but it looks not work on https://browserleaks.com/webrtc, still leaking IPs.
