Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. I assume Google changed the way AI overview works so I hope this is updated

Unfortunately, it just doesn't work. I admire what these devs tried to do, and I'm sure the fact that this doesn't work is a result of Google's rigid policy of shoving AI down everyone's throats whether they like it or not, but yeah this is a bummer. I hope someone smarter than myself can create a permanent solution before our lakes evaporate and our forests go up in flames. *As a tedious temporary solution, adding "-AI" to your searches will remove the AI overview, but you have to do it every single time.

Does not work to the best of my troubleshooting. I guess I'll stick to just typing in "-ai" at the end of my searches.

Sadly doesnt work at all. I tried using this extension after encountering an AI overview for the first time today while trying to look up info about SMR reactors, given theres a lot of misinformation about it in politics in my home country right now. I tried searching "SMR Reactor China" to get a wide variety of search results but an AI overview came both before and after installing the extension. The extension doesnt even activate on google. (Though keep in mind Im from Denmark, so the extension only works on google.com and doesnt account for national variations like google.dk, google.se, google.it, google.gr, google.no etc to name a few examples from European countries.)

I added this extension pretty recently and it worked well enough for a day or two (got rid of the AI overview at the top of the search results but missed some of the AI stuff in the "Things to Know" and "People Also Ask" sections), but it doesn't seem to work for me anymore. I tried disabling my VPN for a minute to see if that was mucking things up but it didn't make a difference. I'm not very tech savvy so that's about the limit of the troubleshooting I'm capable of on my own. Bummer because it looks like the extension is still working for others based on recent reviews, so I must be unlucky lol

Really good extension!! But it direly needs a lot of updates, a lot of AI Overview stuff is still there. Like when I click any of the "People Also Ask" tabs, the AI overview has still been there since I have installed this. Or even, now this extension does not work whatsoever and now I am getting AI overviews no problem.

I still see a glimpse of the AI results, so this extension isn't preventing Google from generating them, it's just hiding them somehow. I've read that adding "-AI" to your search removes the AI overview, which does seem to work, it's just tedious and I have to work to develop the habit of adding it. I was glad to see someone had written an extension to (I hoped) do it for me, but I don't want merely not to see the AI results, I want to prevent Google from generating them at all, since it's training the model and the unnecessary power use that I object to most, not just that they are often misleading or incorrect. I wish I could leave five stars because I LOVE that someone is being as petty (is it really petty, though?) about this as I am but that feels dishonest since it's still letting Google use AI. All other similar extensions I found seem to do the same. I will try the Legacy mode, perhaps that will do the trick.
