when I try to record it doesn't work and says "An error occurred while checking if you can insert into slides. Try again and if the problem persists kindly contact support." nothing works

It makes you have pop up ads on your computer. My laptop was fine i downloaded this extension and i started to get a new tab open for joycast .ai deleted the extension and no more ad.

Paid service . Free for the first 30 days . I'm not saying they shouldn't ask for payments , I respect the business . I just wish that they were straightforward about the payment aspect before I actually downloaded . Again , I have nothing against the developers and I wish them all the best . This is a purely subjective opinionated review . DON'T take this review as an objective factual description .

I do not like the pop up in every single page i open. I would prefer it without the pop up function. I'd rather open it when needed.

When I try to comment, I can start a voice recording but cannot stop it. The only way to get the recording to stop is to cancel the comment altogether. Very disappointed as this was so promising. I wasted HOURS trying to make it work.

Originally I was in LOVE with Mote. It made distance learning so much better. It allowed me to provide resources for my students who had difficulty reading. I was able to add voice notes to help them with read alouds and provide them with feedback. It was also nice that students were able to utilize the voice memos as well to show their understanding of certain topics. The reason for the low rating is the fact that now Mote limits how many voice memos can be created a month. Only 20 voice memos per month. I sometimes go through 20 voice memos for just one assignment. It is just frustrating because Mote was such an amazing resource but now I will need to find another.

I Found mote helpful, but I need more than 30 seconds to give comments. Might stop using it because its so limited.

Would've been fab if it would actually work for me.. I spend 1 minute talking to mark my students work and then after a minute it decides to just stop working and delete itself. This isn't a one off problem either it is continuous and is infuriating and time consuming

pretty cool but i wish you could upload audio files instead of having to record the entire thing. That way we could insert songs which you can listen to while reading.

Love using Mote but was super disappointed and frustrated to learn that I only get 20 free motes per month. As a language learner, 20 motes is not nearly enough. So now, I either have to pay up or wait a month to continue using Mote.

I like this google extension. It used to work just fine. Lately, the voice extension on google keeps thinking, and most of the time does not save the audio file. And today I am getting this message on google slides "This is a Powerpoint file and doesn't support Mote for Google Slides". Although it is actually a google slides and I have been using mote on this file since I installed the extension.

I think something essential to add is an animation inside the mote button when it's in a google slide. Like if instead of just a static button it was a waveform I think that would be very helpful visually to see that something is happening. Also, this plug-in is slow. I realise that it's still in early stages and not perfected technology, so that's fine. But in the future I'd like to see this extension becoming instant fast. P.S: If you could add double clicking the mote icon to play the mote, I think that would be really cool.

The transcript is nonsense. That is a clear thing that needs to be improved. However, the audio is OK.

It doesn't work well in Google Classroom. I can't send private comment to a student. It seems to work, but the recorded message doesn't appear.

This seems really promising...I've got to get my admin to unblock it (I can "try" it but my students can't). When I record and hit done I get a DING...but then the comments aren't appearing...is that because the students don't have it installed?
