Simple Tab Renamer

There was no rename option when right clicking a tab, but the input box appears when clicking through the extension icon manually. That said, it seems to not work as of now. Every time I try to rename a tab, it returns an error message saying to please try again. Tried with multiple different tabs—both internet tabs and local file tabs—and restarted chrome, but to no effect. Unfortunate.

The names only persist so long as chrome is open. As soon as you close the browser and reopen it, the names change back to default which renders the app useless imo.

Can't even figure out how this extensions is supposed to work--seems pretty intuitive to be able to right click a tab and select 'rename' but I can't find this option or anything remotely related.

Useless. Doesn't persist if you restart the browser or close & reopen the tab.

Tried to use it and it instantly froze and crashed my entire browser which never happens ETA: Tried again and same thing happened. Writing this one off.

Doesn't work for me: whenever I try to rename any tab, it just says "Error occurred" 🤷

This very easily changed the tab title but then I clicked rename and did a refresh - the tab title just kept cycling - flahs between the old and new name. removed it

Nice and simple, but the new names do not survive tab reopening, which is a basic requirement.

Did not work for me.

Didn't work -- asked me to reload a tab. My use case: I have 6 tabs open of the same site making AJAX requests. Why I hated it: When I typed in a name, it told me an error occurred, and asked me to reload one of the pages. Nope, sorry.

Does not remember the name of the tab after closing.

Keeps new name if the tab is reloaded but loses it after the browser restarts.

Works as designed, but even when a tab isn't refreshed, the tabs default to their original names at unpredictable times.

good but i couldn't make it stick when i closed the tab and reopened, as i tried to remame Vyond to GoAnimate

you cant change tab name of pdf file, this would ease work a lot!
