Description

Key Mode puts a keyboard-driven command palette at your fingertips. Press Alt+G (Option+G on Mac) to open it, type a command, and manage your tabs and tab groups without ever touching your mouse. What you can do: - Create, rename, and recolor tab groups - Move tabs between groups or pull groups from other windows - Jump to any tab or group by typing its name - Reorder groups and tabs by position - Close tabs and groups (current, next, or previous) - Ungroup tabs or move groups to new windows - Discard inactive tabs to free up memory - Search across tab content to find what you're looking for How it works: Hit the shortcut to open the command palette. Start typing to fuzzy-search through available commands. Arrow keys navigate the list, Enter executes. Once you are familiar with the commands, type the abbreviation of the command will immediately execute it, here's the full list: - ng — Create a new tab group - nt — Create a new tab inside the current group - rng — Rename the current tab group - rcg — Change the color of the current tab group - pt — Pull tabs from other groups into the current group - pg — Pull groups from other windows into the current window - gg — Jump to a group by name - gt — Jump to a tab by name - gut — Jump to an ungrouped tab - gug — Group all ungrouped tabs together - st — Search page content across tabs - cg — Close the current group - cog — Close all other groups - cng — Close all groups after the current one - cpg — Close all groups before the current one - cot — Close all other tabs in the group - cnt — Close all tabs after the current one - cpt — Close all tabs before the current one - mnw — Move the current tab or group to a new window - dg — Discard group tabs to free memory - 3g — Focus the 3rd group (works with any number) - 5t — Focus the 5th tab in the group (works with any number) - mg2 — Move the current group to position 2 (works with any number) - mt1 — Move the current tab to position 1 (works with any number) Built for keyboard-first workflows.
