Description

Featured on ProductHunt, Techpp.com & other leading tech magazines. Loved by users thanks to its high level of accuracy, great features and ease of use. Powered by Google's Speech-to-Text engines & proprietary algorithms, to make it a business-class working tool. Although free, users find it to be a great alternative to the industry's leader Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Distraction-free clean design. Great both for dictation & regular typing Lets you edit speech results easily. Auto-saves everything. Great export options. One click email, print, google-drive upload and more. -- More: Speechnotes is a powerful speech-enabled online notepad, designed to empower your ideas by implementing a clean & efficient design, so you can focus on your thoughts. Designed to Inspire Creativity and Keep You Focused Features Built to Increase Productivity & Efficiency for both Voice Typing & Regular Key Typing For many of us, key-typing is slow and thus time-consuming. Speechnotes lets you type at the speed of speech (slow & clear speech). Speechnotes lets you move from voice-typing (dictation) to key-typing seamlessly. This way, you can dictate when convenient and type when more appropriate. You can also dictate and edit your text results right away, and continue dictating. No need to go through app modes or even stop dictation. Insert punctuation marks by speech (voice commands) or by a single click. Other features built for productivity for both type of typing are: Auto save that saves the document in real time upon any change, so you don't ever have to disturb yourself with it. Export to Google Drive (cloud saving) or download as a document to your computer. One click to email, or print your note. Automatic smart capitalization of letters at the beginning of sentences. No Login, registration, installation, or download needed. Works "right out of the box". Unlimited usage for free. Leading Technology Speechnotes is based on Google's high-end speech-recognition engines. Accuracy above 90% Health Advantages to Voice Typing Voice typing is one of the main recommended ways to minimize these risks, as it enables you to sit back comfortably, freeing your arms, hands, shoulders and back altogether. Who can benefit from Speechnotes? Anyone who is tired of ordinary key-typing might find Speechnotes useful. It might also be helpful specifically for people with difficulties in typing. Such difficulties could be of a result of physical condition, or simply not mastering the keyboard typing technique in an early enough age. In addition, people who type a lot as their profession or hobby might find Speechnotes very useful as long keyboard typing might be very tyring, and even have medical implications as side effects. Needless to say, transcribers (from students to professionals) will find Speechnotes super helpful, as they can listen to a recording and repeat the speech into the mic, to get Speechnotes to transcribe it for them.

It did not say WHERE its files were located, neither in the application, nor even on the Speechnotes website. In addition the only icon available for the phone's home screen, was huge ...... I uninstalled the app.

I paid for the upgrade, but it is not working. It keeps wanting more money. No response from the developers. I will report this extension as a money making scam.

App only works in Word docs and emails. It DOES NOT work on websites, as it claims!!! And I paid $9.99 for this piece of junk!

It will only voice type about a paragraph before it just stops for no apparent reason. Should never have bought it.

Too limited and doesn't work after a few minutes.

Premium version unavailable to many who have paid. I already paid 9.99 but is still asking me to pay for the extension again - what gives? No trouble shooting advice after following the steps mentioned for installing. Under support tab the publisher is not accepting any input or responding.

The fact that when I say www it types ww.w makes this a waste of time and worse than junk.

Just tried it, and it did not at all accurately recognise basically any of my speech apart from basic things like "and", "the", "is". I wondered if maybe it was my microphone, but before fiddling with any of my computer settings I thought I would try another app - just to test it. So I have just added VoiceNote II - text to speech. Didn't change anything and it accurately recognised EVERY single word after I repeated the same tester phrase as the one I used for Speechnote. So it must be this app then. Pity. It is a nice user-interface.

Tried a number of times to dictate a note but less than 10% of the dictation came in accurately - waste of time.

This app takes a very long time to open and it opens too many ad windows before you can use the app. It's horrible!!

I worked on an email for 15 minutes, copied and pasted it into the body of the message and could not see the message as the font was in white. I converted the font to black and sent the email. When it was received it was blank and we were unable to convert the font color to black. I have to redo the whole thing and explain why I sent a long blank email. Wasted a lot of time I was trying to save, Too bad.

I clicked the microphone and began speaking. Right theren in front of me the words were being wriiten down on the screen. Amazing. I paused then restarted the note and never was able to speak another word that got written down. No idea what happened but since it was impossible to maneuver very far in the app with being urged to upgrade, I imagine for $10 it would have worked a second time. I really really need something like this but one that works 100 percent of the time. this clearly isn't it.

Not suitable for me. Large numbers are interpreted and changed.

sucks

Although there was good accuracy in the dictation the display lines overlapped a little and there was about a 20 second lag from the time I spoke to the time it wrote down what I said. That slowed me down a bit even though there was less to type. I'm uninstalling and trying something else.

Like most it has difficulty recognizing similar sounding words..

★★☆☆☆2016-06-13

It was clumsy and never remembered the corrections I made. As a big for instance, it kept thinking 'comma' was 'comedy', and even when I had corrected it six times in one session (I counted), it would still put 'comedy' in the seventh time. Overall, I spent more time correcting it than I would have just typing it out in the first place.

The Google voice to text on my phone is much much better. This program seems to stall after a few words. It's fun to play with but in the real world, it is totally useless.

I'm envious of anyone who this works for. For me, the recognition is so bad, I've finally given up. The most frustrating part is when I see it actually getting a correct transcription, then after a pause, completely changing the phrase!! I'm suspecting the google algorithms are looking for the most likely phrasing, so when (as in my case - doing academic work) the phrases aren't from the median population, they select a series of matches that the 'average' person might say. As such, if you're looking for something to transcribe a recording, then all hope is lost. Between the above issue, and the likely case of doing an interview (two voices) then the machine just comes to a halt, after a few phrases.

doesn't work, too many errors.

I suspect all the reviews are faked on this program. Bad voice recognition capabilities with so many errors it is better to just type it out yourself.

maybe i am new to it. But I dictate from screen.meaning that i read from one half of the screen and look for the result in the other part.meaning i use two half sreens one for the text to read the other one for speechenotes,Unfortunatelly the speechnotes is not fully visible what to do about

Semi-accurate, even in comparison with Microsoft SR, and still quite inferior to Dragon Naturally Speaking. The only partial ability to dictate punctuation marks (and not in all languages), as well as lack of any commands for editing the dictated text (correcting mistakes, deleting text, selecting text to replacing it, etc.) makes it very rudimentary. In addition, it works reasonably well for dictation in only few of the languages included in the list. I have tested it for UK and US English, French, Spanish-Spain, Swedish, Danish and Italian. In some of the above languages it was even impossible to dictate any punctuation marks. In addition, I tested Hebrew and Arabic (Jordan and Lebanon) and the results were more than miserable, in addition to the unlucky writing direction, which makes it quite useless. Swype & Dragon do a better job (for mobiles).

It works fine just as it said it would. The voice recognition functions appropriately.I wish it had the share option, to share with other applications, like Diiogo.

Not bad, but does not reach the speed and usability of Google speech recognition on Android. For example, in Android it is no problem to dictate in multiple languages simultaneously, meaning you dictate one sentence in one language and another sentence in another language even without pausing, and it recognizes everything. I wished somebody finally would code an app where you choose one key on the keyboard for "press to talk", and as long as you press that key, everything you say directly goes as textinto whatever program you are just using, of course using Google speech recognition.
