It decides for you which IDE to open the file on, even lists IDEs that you might not have lol. I needed to see a file from a repo in pycharm which is the only one I have installed and listed others like webstorm, etc. Which I don't use neither have installed.
Doesn't work for me. Tried on Debian 11 and Ubuntu 22.04. Even though I allow the popup, there's absolutely no action. I also installed https://www.jetbrains.com/toolbox-app/ on Linux and run the Chrome extensio after it, but again it had no success in cloning anything.
For me, this extension doesn't work on github.com (I haven't tested other sites) :( Chrome version: 96.0.4664.45 (Official Version) (64 bit) OS version: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS, 64 bit IDE version: WebStorm 2021.2.3
Pls add Android Studio
It does not offer to open in PyCharm, newly created repo with py file in it.
Not working with custom gitlab domain
Doesn't work with PHPStorm
It does not work (Chromium 74.0.3729.157 (Official Build) snap (64-bit) on Ubuntu 19.04; Toolbox JetBrains Toolbox 1.14.5179 (Apr 15 2019) OS kernel linux 5.0.0-15-generic on x86_64)
For a company that makes great software this was written by an idiot. No support for editors other than IDEA or WebStorm. What a joke.
Why is it called "JetBrains Toolbox" extension when it can open only their Java IDE? A PHP based GitHub repository can't be opened with PHP Storm by using this extension. Pretty much useless for anyone not using Java as a programming language.
it just doesn't work for enterprise projects so for me it is completely useless
Doesn't work.
doesn't do anything
Not working
It can’t be used as it is right now. The extension automatically detects the language used in the GitLab project and then suggests an IDE. For example, with my Terraform project, it only suggests IntelliJ IDEA. However, I don’t have IntelliJ IDEA—just WebStorm and PhpStorm. I’d like the extension to only suggest IDEs that I actually have installed. It would be great if there was an option in the settings to let users select which IDEs they have. In my case, I want to be able to checkout projects using WebStorm or PhpStorm, regardless of the project’s language.
I saddens me a lot that it is (still) not possible to configure company gitlab instances.
Kind of useless because it's trying to guess the IDE for the repo and doesn't allow to choose a specific one, although it lists ones that I don't have
it doesnt work for me(doesnt copy anything to my Webstorm - it just do nothing) (Windows10/Chrome)
Clicking the Webstorm clone button doesn't seem to do anything. Would love this extension if I could figure out how to get it working.
Does not work for PHPStorm installed via Toolbox. Reinstalling extension does not help.
Doesn't seem to work with community editions of their software. Unless i'm missing something? Can't register community editions to the JetBrains toolbox. So it's useless for anyone who doesn't subscribe to the Ultimates. {Unless I am missing something?}
It's ok, but it doesn't work with the recent new layout github preview and messes up the toolbar
I am not able to open a Web project (HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT) in PyCharm.
That's cool but why does it need an extra download and install of JetBrains Toolbox...?
In bit-bucket it only supports Intellej no Pycharm support.
Can you please allow the extension to read the enterprise githubs? Give the access to sites *github* pattern in the domain name or give the option for us to enter the domain name in the extension settings.
It can't open with Android Studio :(
Does not support enterprise gitlab. Public github and gitlab work
I am unable to checkout to PHPStorm from Bitbucket. Only Java IDE is available. On github I am able to checkout to PHPStorm.
Please add support for enterprise repos
Is there any way to open a particular file from github in a PHPStorm or WebStorm instead of IDEA?
I'm a big fan of JetBrains toolbox, but sadly I have yet to click one of these buttons. Issues 1) Support Enterprise GIthub, GItlab, other repos. 2) Support other branches 3) Support 1-click automatic selection of location of project through the style that Golang or https://github.com/motemen/ghq do (set a $FOLDER and then it's set to $FOLDER/domain/repo seperated by slashes. 4) Support forks - automatically setting upstream, etc Right now it's faster to open a terminal and type 'ghq get REPO' and then 'idea .' (or whatever IDE it is) in the terminal I'd recommend just releasing this as something to accept contributions to I'm sure it's a small extension and there's nothing to intellectually project in it.
Why do I have to open it with Project Rider? Why not Visual Studio (with Resharper)?
Great, but I wish it supported GitLab.
